Optimally you should adapt to the antes, playing a bit looser. Just the statement that you´re automatically subtracting 10 bb/100 from the wr if you don´t adjust is obviously false.

Threads been running 20 months and I've posted what three or four times in it? And only because, years back, I posted strat and stuff in some of ops earlier (multiple) threads, when I had similar delusions about where I might get my online poker prowess to.

Search through his threads (don't its a serious waste of anybodys time) you'll find loads of comments over the years like this...

usually from good quality, long term posters offering sincere advice.

Like me, they usually foxtrot oscar once they get called haters or trolls just for pointing out reality.

I've tried giving these reality checks to Philosopher, like many others. Probably been a bit rude doing so too. It might seem like the easiest thing to just study and start making a profit, but in reality it is not and not many people manage to win even at the micros after countless study hours.

Yes I see that he is stubborn in trying to make his unique strategy work and whatnot for many years, when it obviously doesn't work.

I've also offered help to Philosopher, which he rejected. It's his choice and there is nothing I or anyone can do about that. At least Philosopher and others in the same category manage to stay respectful and thankful even if they don't always act on the advice people give on 2+2. It's not like they make the community toxic. It's another thing if the game seems to be an addiction and something that is ruining them financially or mentally. But mostly it just seems like they enjoy the game and likes talking about it here.

I read these threads mostly because I'm rooting for the guys and have a little bit of hope things will turn around eventually. If they want help they will ask for it I guess.

What adjustments are taking for the ante's? The dichotomy between a high rake environment and ante cash games is tricky.. Ofc the games naturally become splashier w/ lower SPR postflop! Opening larger seems an easy adjustment to minimize multiway pots but I don't think developing flatting ranges is going to do much for your winrate imo.. Whats everyone's thoughts?

Fazendeiro, no need to apologize. You're one of the few who's always supportive/helpful/positive. As for nl50z shots, haven't continued with that. Actually, kinda slowed down a bit. Been away from the thread a bit cause of the negativity.

Shipnickle, thanks, don't remember rejecting an offer for help, but my memory sucks haha. Appreciate if you did, and might take you up on that if you're still offering. But want to get back into getting good volume in first so that I can make use of any help and not waste your time lol. Will work my way up from nl2z, and once I sense I hit a bit of a road block, I'll see if you're still offering. I honestly don't really know what my own abilities are yet, cause I'm never able to put in enough volume (and solid play) to really find out.

Gonna create a new PG&C thread that's more goals oriented. Just a series of goals (one after the other), that will help me work my way up. Discipline and volume have been somewhat of a problem, so I think that's a good start to changing things. And I think a new thread will be good for that. Will still post results after completing each goal, and I'll try to post hands every so often while progressing through each goal.

I'll ask in advance for anyone who is just being negative, to not post in the new thread. I'll just ignore any such posts that aren't being helpful in any way.

I know my way of going about things is a big reason for attracting trolls/troll-like behaviour, and that's one area I'll be looking to improve. I'm not gonna try and be clever, or make "my own strategy" work, or use fancy BRM plans. Just gonna try and play solid, make sure I know I can win (at a decent rate) at a stakes before moving up, and make goals to help keep me on track.

New start, new attitude, and hopefully new success.

If you're starting over from 2NLz, why not throw in some regular tables on the side? I'm also playing 2NLz and have a small winrate there, but am able to achieve 20bb/100 on reg tables by table selecting. Helps build up the roll quicker and cover the negative variance you may experience in ZOOM. I understand and admire the ambition to focus on playing as theoretically well as possible, but there's also no reason to pass up playing with whales against who you can exploitatively pot/pot/overbet shove with TPTK and get called by worse every time
