I just have to say HANS is INCREDIBLE.

He did never complain at all. Not even once. He just told me with a voice of a robot how he runs lol.

I NEVER had a student who ran this bad and had top notch attitude like Hans. Yes, other people have run even worse, but anybody familiar with statistics knows how ****ed up EV is here ;(

It is amazing how well he handles those beats. Usually i would expect a lot of crying/trying to get sympathy. And to a certain extent i would even understand this. In the end we are all humans. I still remember that i cried one night many many years ago when i lost like 20flips in PLO (lol , i know).

He's still making money thanks to the high volume, but attitude is everything. ****ing everything.

First of all TX for the support. I really appreciate it.

So were to start? Basically Monday was awesome. Had a very nice day in terms of winnings but the next 2 days killed them completely. Given the BR that got shallower and my desperate need for some positive results I moved down to NL20 and got crushed there.
Currently it looks like I can't win anywhere but I have a positive attitude that until the end of the month I will turn things around. Cashier took a bit hit but he will get pimped up in the begging of the next month.

There are a lot of positive things when you go through a time phase like it's currently in my case for me:
1) I got even more motivated to improve
2) You grow emotionally/you become stronger

Since my edge is small of course the swings are bigger but even if I run 66BI below EV after 170k hands that should never be an excuse for not making it/turning a profit. So what I should tell myself is ''work harder to gain a bigger edge and so you can tell variance that it wont not stop you''. There is always this graph from a guy who run 125BI below EV after 500k hands but he was still making a small profit and this is something that really motivates me.

Anyway going away for 2 days but will be back on Sunday to grind again. Need to recharge my batteries but I will still leave the results:

Judging by your graph you are losing 15bb/100 in non showdown (that is HUGE), so maybe you should take a look into that. Perhaps play less tables?

This all went downhill as soon as you tried to be a rakeback gridner. Should have stuck to playing 4 tables, learning, focusing, improving. Not playing like a robot on 8 tables of zoom.

Can't help but say that 2 years ago I ran 96bi under EV in 100k hands had to move down from 600nl all the way to 100nl HU. It passes, I'm still here..

Did you ever got any closer to that EV in bb's or winnings?

You play well and variance happens (usually not crushing like this) but just have to think that most players on ipoker 20 and 50 are rb pros and no one has huge edge. The small edge you prob have is negated when playing sooooo many speed tables. Your prob missing stealing spots and now seem to be flipping way more i assume when in one of your first posts you folded kk pre. Also, I'm sure you adjusted at 50 but some of the ranges in the book, can't be correct against the agro tougher regs at the limit. I hope you get sick rb, and start crushing soon man.

Already decreased the number of tables but that's only 1 thing that I've been looking into. Working currently more intensely to find the problematic area although I'm kinda aware what are the problems that I have to tackle.

Guess we didn't make decisions based on what what is the best way but rather where I will get the best hourly and finish this challenge ASAP(which is trough RB the best and easiest way). Because I will anyway when I finish this challenge play way less tables(back to normal) and work more intensely on more different areas. In the end all I needed was 14 playing days where I would end BE to finish this.
I guess you learn from your own mistakes and I at least from this whole thing I can take is that I willing more then ever to work more.

That's what I love the guy that was running 125 BI below EV and still managed to record a small profit. Variance should never be used as an excuse for not making it.

Well, yeah I already stated that I think that there are no huge winners on NL50 Speed. I think most of that are sort of freerolling(with the small amount of fishes) and booking some profits with RB. I sort of have to flip more then on NL5 I guess and that's kinda of normal. But yeah, currently looking into improving things.



So guys,

Time for an update. Looks like ironically still didn't have 2 winning days in a row....Oh actually I didn't have 1 . I mean I moved down because of my BR getting shorter but also because I wanted some successful days but I'm not able to win currently(I cut the number of tables). I only played yesterday and on Sunday because I was on a small trip and had some RL issues. Also I hate iPoker software and the way you lose your money/not being able to play there because of some ridiculous consistent technical issues(Sunday peak time and you can't connect, what a fail ).

In some sort of way it feels weird but not too much worried because I like to find always something positive in the bad things that happen and so I'm really looking forward to work more intensively with Gordon over the next few days and change things in the next month. So that being said I guess I should start working now:

Man I think alot of it has to do with the switch to euros. At all limits. Sick your bankroll was so up there and now back down to where it is. My first day with the switch I had my worst single day in 2.4 years. Playing on short roll and it was crushed. Back in profiit for month but man the games blow- the software crashes and takes your buy ins, but hard to leave with 80 percent rb. Give you mad props working through it and curious howmuch your br is boosted when you get rb. Keep the updates coming.glgl.

We don't hide bad or suboptimal results. We show you how the "real life" of poker can be. By doing that we give ourselves no other choice but to succeed... i mean, would kinda be embarrassing to stop there and give up

What we will do however is change part of the strategy. One of Hans biggest strengths is his ability to grind a lot of tables. Because of that we still end up winning (RB only tho). In any case, it is not satisfying, but hey if working harder is not the way, we gonna work smarter!

3 days have past since my last updated. I played not really a lot because I was focusing on other things which might help to start the new month better and more successful since the new month will bring a different approach.This time there will be very little RB and I will have to focus mostly on winnings.

iPoker network made the decision even easier to with the big issues that they currently have with their network. I also played some normal tables and finally got use of me girlish screenname. Looks like recreational players get emotional when they get involved with a ''female''. They call me out with all this nice names and wanna play pots against me as much as possible. So nice when their ego gets involved . So this are the results for the last couple of days:





That being said I will leave iPoker. The reason is basically show below when I compare $ tables and € tables and sort of this will be as well my monthly report.

Well kinda of an interesting month. I don't know what's wrong but obviously something is wrong and I was comparing things from December with this month and I can't find a really big difference in my playing style especially NL20 because I played always the same amount of tables. I mean in 3xk hands I didn't have one single major winning day. This are facts and so I asked Gordon if we can start something fresh and he agreed. I guess on Monday I will get RB and BR will get healthier again and so I still won't end this month in red overall but far from happy. I guess time to change things and a good start for that is a new month .

What are the issues?

Couldn't really make out your point here, are you saying since the speed games changed to euros they have got tougher?.

His heater ended, RakeBack at the micros can't support the wrong end of a heater, etc.
