Why are you looking for a coach for NL400+ if you still have Gordon? And when you say that you are comfortable with almost any NL100-200 line-up, does this include reg tables on Stars? What about NL100-200 Zoom?

Well, my coaching for profit deal with Gordon ended. As so by the end it was already clear that I learned almost everything from him and so I have to search for new insights, especially for 6max. But we still hear from each other and cooperate on a BPC level.
For your second question I would say probably yes, although I can't prove it but I don't intend to prove it this year.

I'm already ending this week since tomorrow I have a BD to attend. Anyway, the results aren't super bad but they are also not as I hoped they are going to be. The story was that on higher stakes it simply didn't go my way, but to fair and honest I didn't play my best. I was sick a day and half but despite this holding me back from the tables for a short while I managed to still keep a decent amount of volume + had over 6h of coaching this week, so in terms of productivity I would say a very good week.

Hey guys,

It's time for an update.The last 12 grinding days were pretty interesting since I was able to get some good NL600 and NL1k tables. Not only were the tables fairly good I also run OK-ish and was able to recover the bad run on the lower stakes.
Playing these mixed stakes can really influence a lot the monthly results. I mean with some nice results on higher stakes you can recover all the loses on the smaller one and still make profit. While the opposite can be a huge problem since recovering the loses from higher stakes on smaller one is a **** lot of work.

Other than that I really enjoy coaching more and more. I mean in the beginning I did it only for my own development and so I didn't enjoy it too much(especially not those for hourly fees) but now it's just getting better and better. I understand my strengths and weaknesses but at the same time being more aware of them keeps me reflecting which is in the big picture a positive thing. I had to give up a bit of my own off table work time in order to find time for them but I believe it's definitely worth it.

Anyway here are my resutls since the last update:

January 2015 Report

Well, in January I made 11k$(post RB) which I find OK and consider it as a good start into the year. I mean it could have been better and I was rather close to 15k$ but the bad run at the end made it impossible.
Of course I have to take into account that I was only playing on about 15 days approx. since half of the month went on different vacations. Volume is also pretty decent for the amount of working days. I want to have this kind of volume as a minimum during the year. February goal is just one. Grind, grind, grind.

Time for an update. Besides like the standard grind which keeps to show somewhat satisfying results, the news is that I started to get coaching from Internet. Have to say that I'm very satisfied for the initial hours and I really hope his going to help me establish myself as a very decent mid stakes reg. Very different approach compared to Gordon starting from analyzing the hands till homework. Looking forward to more of them.

Performance wise it really wasn't a good period. I mean I didn't run really well, but I think overall I made a decent portion of very bad decisions. I could have won way more but simply when I wasn't running good I lacked discipline. Discipline to make ''bigger'' folds and to keep a more consistent performance, instead of my performance swings that would fit to variance. Just, mehhh!

Anyway here are the results:

Hi everyone,

Time for an update. So before the actual monthly report I guess I would like to say that since I started working with Internet certain things look much more clear then they used to. I really hope with this help I will fix some of my major concerns and so improve my WR even more. Other then coaching, the only news is that I started playing here and there HU vs regs(noticed a lot of 6max regs sit at HU tables). Not the super HU player, but still not a lot of people gave me action. I mean the only people who gave me action where either super good regs(they probably play anyone and I'm willing to lose a couple of BI to learn) way better then me and ambitious low stakes regs that overestimate themselves(good choice). Truth is I played them all in the super morning hours so some of them rejected a match because they played all night. Still interesting to see how this HU environment works. I would really like to maybe challenge myself and get solid at it, but again I would also like to learn all other formats poker and don't have the time but maybe in the foreseeable future....who knows.

February 2015 Report

So overall in February I made a bit over 14k$ post RB. Again I missed my 15k$, but I really want complain about 800$ making the difference. What I'm not satisfied is A) my performance/game, B) Didn't achieve/sustained my WR goals. I just think it could have been, all in all, way more and way better overall. At least for this very short month I like the fact that I put a very nice volume. In the end, I'm up already for the year +25k$ so let's see the big picture and don't get obsessed with failed short goals.

Hey guys,

the craziest months since the begin of this project is over me. Sadly just technically and not realistically. I guess without any more philosophic statements of mine let's just jump on the actual facts.

Anyway last month I was planning to travel and as always grind. The travel wasn't an issue, it was just time consuming but I enjoyed it a lot. The problem was/is that I was/'m still ill. It's probably the longest illness I have experienced in years. I can't get back to my normal health state and so I checked and will check in the next weeks myself more closely and probably arrange some more doctor meetings.
Personally I believe I just caught a flew. Of course I spent some days in bed, but at first sign of recover, I started keeping up with my travel and playing schedule despite the fact that I wasn't cure which again resulted in getting sick again. Guess learning to rest is for me a skill, but yeah, you learn from your costly mistakes.

Poker wise, I would call this month, a survivor month. I mean playing poker ill isn't really known to produce great results but I'm also stubborn and determined to achieve my goals no matter what, as long as I can move a mouse and look at the tables. Even when I was healthy after all day trips I sit at the tables exhausted and just looked at the hours and realized how slow they are actually passing pay. It felt like I had a ''normal'' job and that feeling is something I hate. Downswing are better then this.

Also I ended my coaching for profit deal with one of my students. It was a weird experience and I wish it would have been different, but that's poker and nowadays. I learned from this experience and so I wish him all the best for your future.

So how much I made this month. Well it depends how the foreign exchange market changes but if we take today rates it's gonna be 9,9k$ which is OK-ish. I mean I'm still over 10k$ average for this year and overall given circumstances it's OK. From technical point of view my game got better but I lacked discipline so IMO the results could have been way, way better. So, battling discipline will be my priority goal for April and if I fix it and stay healthy I'm sure that April can be a very good month.

Ola fellow poker friends,

Time for an update. My health issues don't seem to be completely solved but I kind of recovered and so the results seem to be a bit better. I'm like more relaxed and overall I like the way I played especially on NL1k despite the big swings that I'm facing there. Volume wise I'm on pace and in general the month looks good so far. Can't wait to finish the last doctors appointment and then finally go a bit on a semi holiday in Germany and as a part of it participating in some social projects. Feels good after this ego infested and competitive poker world to do something good for society. But till then there is still some grind to be done and till.

As you can see it took me exactly almost 18 months to start from NL2 and make 100k$ in winnings. Of course with RB it took me just 9.5 months but still reaching this number in winnings is something special. Of course my journey doesn't end here but it is interesting to see how my overall winnings are almost split 50-50 between RB and on the table winnings. The ironic part with the graph below is the fact that there is a Pokerstrategy.it coach that lately criticized me that I might not beat the games while he is playing NL50 .

Lol it seems everyone outside of the uk is total woman when it comes to having a cold. Its not even an illness here its a common cold and you just get on with it as a minor annoyence. Everyone outside the uk who who has a cold though swears they have the flu which i highly doubt (i have had it once and literrally couldn't even get out of bed and i had the worst fever i've ever had).

I mostly play 6max, with occasional MTT, HU and FR. I play stakes from NL100 to NL1k. I don't have a super strict BRM, but I would say currently my BRM would be a 50BI rule.

Time for an update. Before I actually summarize the month I can just say that the last few days was really good. I mean not on NL1k but on NL400 and NL600 I was running hot. I played very decently to the point I felt very good and try my chances against a Nl1k reg on the HU tables. I ended winning 3/4 BI in the match but I think despite him not being a top reg I believe I misunderstood a lot of spot(ranges are just way wider and way less capped) and probably just won because I just played good in the big pots. Anyway was a good experience.

Also I feel like my student is finally on the right track. He is working super hard and when I say something like that I really mean it. I mean I considered myself a decent worker, but he is on another level. He gets a sick amount of flame in the Italian community, but actually I'm very thankful to this hate because it gives me more motivation to excel as a coach. Anyway, I definitely enjoy coaching way more nowadays because the relationship is switching more from coach-student into coach/poker buddy.

April 2015 Report

So overall this month I made 23-23,5k$(post RB) depending on the daily exchange rate. I'm very satisfied with this result because even 1 year later I'm still able to have +20k$ months although the games have become way tougher which I believe says that I'm on the right way in terms of improving. I'm almost 60k$ for the year so everything looks good. There are some parts which I'm not too satisfied more about it in one of the future post.

Is it still getting harder? I was just thinking about doing the same u did when ive finished my master degree in computer science in 6 month.
