Curious to know what you've changed in your game since playing micros that has had such a drastic impact on your redline, which used to be negative as is the case with most of us, micro donks. E.g. more aggressive blind defense, bluffcatching/stationing more, triple-barrelling, etc. Do you think you would have a positive redline now if you started over from NL2 again?

Well, I decreased the amount of fast poker in general. I normally recommend normal tables but it's generally an extremely personal thing.

Hi guys,

First of all I would like to say TY to all the compliments and support that I got during this challenge. It was generally an awesome experience to share my success but as well my failures with all of you.

Now, after I reached the milestone, it's time to look a bit back. It took about 5 months and 2 weeks to get from 10k$ to 100k$. During this time I had reached almost every month(besides 1) a record month. I honestly think that in general it was an extremely good run accompanied with some dedicate work but as well self awareness. By this self awareness I mean I never played(besides 1 orbit) in games where I didn't see an edge. I always table selected pretty strictly but even now in the end where I started to play a bit more of reg tables I again never set down when I had a tough opponent on my left or on the table weren't at least 2 weaker once.

In the big picture I didn't become the perfect poker player but rather someone who learned how to make money at this game. That's exactly what I wanted in the first place since I thought I was playing mostly for the money. But as I got more and more into the challenge/poker I realized I'm more and more interested in actually becoming an awesome poker player. So that being said before I start this quest to become an awesome poker player I would somewhat financially secure myself(make another 150k$ - > this blog is going to continue ) and then strive for higher. Because currently things work very, very good and so I want to take the benefit from it.

Is there some point in this challenge where you started getting the hang of getting people of their hands? Especially in later streets as the pots are bigger there? Might it be that you went from an early street game (pre & flop) at the micro's to a later street game at the higher stakes? Just curious about that red line

Hans, do you mind sharing with us how you work on your game off the tables? Do you use FlopZilla? You mentioned before that you purchased CREV -- does it help you a lot?

Also, since you are playing midstakes now, are you trying to have more balanced ranges in different spots and learn how to play more GTO-style vs playing purely exploitatively and winning mostly by table selecting hard/owning not-so-good players?

Since ive bought the book and studied everything ( including all videous ). Ive gone to beat nl50 for 13.5bb/100 over 43k hands now. Hope it continues
