Decided to come in and share my biggest losing session ever I could have continue to try and comeback, but arround the end i just couldnt take it anymore and just said **** and stopped, which is pretty meh when i saw the results . Decided to run some filters in Tilt Breaker, but im rly not sure how accurate they are or mby they are and im going trough some nasty variance. TB doesn't recommend me anything and the scale never goes under 0, at my lowest peak its 2bb/100 and heater is at 8bb/ average at ~3-4 the sample size i ran the filters was ~120k hands. Overall since the start of the year, im trying to get my head above the water , not very cool, when you think your improving and working the most show up with such results

Sorry to see these results

What kind of studying are you doing to improve your game?

Are you making sure to get your thoughts on some hands proof checked with other regs?

Are you sieving through the smaller hands as well as the big hands, ie. the 4-8bb wins and losses as well as the 20-30bb pots.

Do you ever record yourself playing and watch it back to find mistakes?

Those are a few things that I think work really well. GL man.

sorry to burst your bubble but I think you just have tilt issues. Losing 2200bb's in 4k hands? Tilts can be subtle and it's not always obvious.

I coach a player your are playing against, randomly found your thread. IMO you need to devote like 80% of your time studying cause more playing would lead to just more losing, from what i`ve seen your fundamentals are awful and it`ll be a mistake to atribute it to tilt/badrun etc. Jamming sdv where you don`t know what to do is not a good idea, being polarized to either being a station or barelling way too much is also not a good idea, i don`t know who your coach is but imo what you work on is totally wrong and you should learn from those 1m breakeven hands, not try to bang your head more. Also you don`t seem to understand why and when the 30% cbet sizing should be used. Good luck with your journey, equilab is your friend!

You are right. I reviewed every spot above 10bb and in the end of these 4k hands it was something like 5-6 punt offs, which occur bcz of me not playing as efficiently as i could.

I think i know the guy you are coaching, and you are probbably influenced by the spots you saw, you could've seen some spots where i jam sdv, bcz at that time mby thought I dont have sdv vs your 16/15 guy. I would skip the rest, cuz we dont need drama. The most important thing is that your comment touched me in such a way that i just have to try a different approach in some aspects in my game and a couple ideas popped in my mind, which i already started doing. Appreciate the advices.

Before to go with feb update, just came back to this and realized how true this is, comparing the way I played last week with how i played overall in January, the difference is ridiculous. Also with the time Im getting better I am clearly able to see what was done wrong In January.

AAAAnd pretty much this

Back on the feb update

Lol I say this everytime, but its honestly true... I feel I've greatly improved this month, and I am very confident I will get to my goal if I can improve this much every month, I read somewhere from a poster and wrote it down, cuz its unbelievably true, " delusional goals fail when the ones with realistic but optimistic survive". And I believe mine is very realistic. Arround 50k hands I didn't run good, but didn't play good either, since then Im rly paying attention how do I react on a bluff or a bad call or losing a stack etc.. Anyway we all like graphs so lets get there

hey guys, it has been a few days since I didnt post, but just needed to drop the volume and re consider my situation, cuz parents gave me the freedom i wanted, but suddenly they started to pressure of what im doing with my time. Then we add up the results so far for the year aaaaaaandd... D you can imagine the rest. Im kinda guy who takes everything into consideration, I was super honest with myself sat down and rly thought how the first 3 months went, what different I couldve done, nothing comes to mind... Now the big losing days... I mean i watched innerpsy and like he had a day with -20BI at 500z, so these days where i had big losing sessions just seemed like a std variance and 1-2BI spew in between, but like even inner and many others who i have watched have admitted that when they have a big losing days, there are spots which they just punt off a stack or two. I obv see the mistakes in the session, when i review , but like these are kinda standard stuff, i try to not repeat them on the next day, but then something new comes up..

vs unknown I would just c-bet this, especially since you unblock 7x and some turns can kill your action

                          2) pretty standard, AA and KK are top of our range and you don't block clubs. I guess you could have JJ with some frequency if you 3b because of aggro sqz in blinds.

the KK hand / spots / kinda of the same line/ i seem to doubt myself a lot whether i butchered the hand

                          -----------------------------------

Today i played pretty decent, with a few rly rly questionable plays which im going to post, but since I dont play anymore long sessions it didnt influence my decision making a lot.

                          1)

Ive noticed, sometimes I decide to do something very questionable, instead of to go with what i call 'standard line' and this spot fits very well. Super ez call vs this cbet, however decided like i said to do something tricky, since the board doesnt connect at all with this guy range. One thing I didnt consider was that, once he calls my flop raise I dont see this guy folding turns and my line looks super suspicious

                          cliffs imo i should've go c/cF c/cT

                                1) I like the play with backdoors, apart from that flop sizing should have been 4x so you can jam turns where you gain more equity.
                                2) I'm wondering if we should bet this flop with a 100% frequency, particulary where you hold 98 blockers, hands like 88-99 that you want to fold out. As played I think we should barrel turn and rather check back hands like JQcc, 67cc kind of hands where you have SDV.

Not entirely sure about my thought process @ hand 2 but hope this helps.

Last week was up and downs (currently downs xD) felt like running good in the start playing good. The last few days are w/e or actually to be honest i dont give a **** anymore, all I did is, in the end of every session, I reviewed what I did wrong / right. What I think I did well for the most part of the week is staying solid for most of the sessions, resisting the urge to go out of line. Today was kinda of annoying though. Last 2 days I've decide take a different approach of review and did some 2-9bb win or lost pots to see how im doing and gonna do it up to a 100bb till the rest of the week. My philosophy is to not neglect the smallest discplines / things, but what ive seen troughout the last 2 days of 2-9bb pots are some spots where I cbet a bit too wide vs some nits, or I dont take enough advantage of Probe Turn exploits. Today i just had to quit, Ive learned the hard way to not start chasing losses, and overall to be honest when u have such sessions you get BE like ~10% of the time imagine where the rest 90% go

From what you post and what i`ve seen you know from where you are a massive calling station post + overplaying sdv too much, also do your preflop ranges and defends in equilab cause 67s is a horrible MP open in all scenarios and using it as a defend vs 3bet combo oop means you have to be opening even way loser than that which is insane. I also don`t think reviewing your hands after sessions has any merit cause you do it from the perspective of a guy who can`t beat the games, you obviously need a to find a new fundamental perspective in your thinking imo. Good luck!

I mark this and will have it as a "food for thought" the rest what u said is kinda BS, because the first thing I noticed is you are talking in a such dunno whats the exact word in english "absolute"?, "absolute manner"?, if it makes sense, which I come to the 2nd conclusion that u are missing perspective / vision in your poker game and i will leave it with that.

                                ------------------------------

Its been the third-fourth consecutive losing / BE months given that today i had a pretty bad day again and prolly will finish BE at best or a little down so it's no longer funny. It's really getting awkward and emabarassing, but I cant just stop like that. The last months I focused on 2 major factors, the main one is that losing so consistently was coming from something getting fked in my mental game, and the second one is actually currently helping me to fix my first one, which is my mind is turning blank in a lot small, occasionaly big pots, when i have a swingy sessions and I played irrationally but never even realizing it. The solution imo was that i had to spend more time off the tables like i did in pretty much the whole March in order to reach this level of thinking so i can execute properly in game not only off the tables.

got coolered by recs today a ton

Hand 1:Usually when they stack off from cold calling position unless the villain is a whale your always behind there. Most of the time against TT/JJ/KK.

Hand 2:Nits esp Russians don't like bluffing rivers. If you think hes bluffing often enough with 78s Axs.Because it's really difficult to find bluffs in that spot.JTs hits some showdown and you block KQ/JQ comboes. On the value side hes always beating you since hes not betting TT.JJ got there and 99 was beating you from the flop.So you can play exploitative and fold some in those spots w QQ obviously AA/KK is snap. The good thing is you don't have blockers ,but when they're never bluffing it doesn't matter much.

Hand 3 is fine.Betting smaller/Checking the flop aren't terrible options as well. Some decent amount of sets got there plus we can get him to bluff some KJ type of hands which don't have that much eq against AA.
