I took second in the $10 + 1 no rebuy game just now, which paid $33.60.
The long structure of the tourney isn't very appealing to me as it takes about 4 to 5 hours to play usually. Start with 1.2k big blinds and 18 min gradual increase = slow as **** but I gotta take what they're giving.
During the game, we discussed better structures and I think tomorrow it will be a more normal tourney.
Also I misspoke here:

Was a 150k bb pot at the time.
Not sure what the blinds were at the time, but I remember winning a 75k chip pot. So it was probably 50/100 or 75/150, which would have meant that it was a <500bb pot. Still a nice hit though.
The rest of the tourney it was basically steal steal get caught stealing at about a 2:1 ratio. Had a couple big hands go my way once we made the money and then I had two very tight opponents left after this hand, or something like this:
4 handed with small antes
button raises 2x, I call 22 in the small blind, big blind calls.
Q52 with a flushdraw
I bet 2/3 pot, big blind shoves about 10x pot, button folds, I call and scoop vs AQo.

Then it became a game of steal steal steal steal get caught stealing at about a rate of 4:1. However, I did lose a few big pots along the way, giving the player to my right the lead. I forget exactly how the tight guy to my left got knocked out, but I do remember that I had a small chiplead of about 153k to 148k and the blinds were 600/1200 with small antes. So there was still lots of poker to be played. I stole a lot of pots but there was little to no value betting available for me. I lost a few big pots and ended up at a severe deficit of about 30k to 270k. I probably could have lasted a bit longer if I was intent on not busting, but I went for the double up in this hand:
blinds 1k/2k with small antes. I have 30k and am the shortstack heads up for a total of $87 prizepool to be distributed 54/33. Top 4 spots got paid in this one out of 12 players.
I raise on the button with J8o, big blind calls.
862 with a flushdraw
checks through
7r
he bets 2/3 pot or so, which was normal for him, I call with about a pot behind.
J of flush
He checks. Here I debated in my head about the value of checking back or betting. I ended up shoving and losing to the Q4 of flush.
Oh well. GG.
