Played two tourneys and a freeroll. I barely competed in the first game. Final tabled the freeroll but didn't cash. Then just now I won the $100 gtd which paid $50 for $3.10 invested.

total profit: $179.85

divided by total tourneys = $1.7985/tourney

Of course, this is slightly skewed by the freerolls, but I include them in the calculation anyways.

My backer and I have been discussing expanding to other sites as things are going well. I think I'm going to play a bit of limit holdem in between tourneys, which should boost my hourly winrate a bit.

Do you have a preference between MTT/CASH?

I like both but for different reasons. I enjoy the freedom of cash; can take breaks whenever I want or when I get tired. Tourneys are extra exciting with all of the all in for your tourney life stuff; winning a tourney is a great feeling cus you have all the chips.

If I had to pick one to play forever? Limit holdem 6 max and it's not close. So I guess that makes limit holdem my wife and no limit holdem tourneys are my one night stands.

I also really dislike the large field tourneys because the time investment is just too great. The only large field mtts I ever really play are the big freerolls for obvious reasons.

However, one of my best nights of all around poker was a 12 game mixed game tourney ~$30 mtt on swcpoker promotional type tourney where they put up something ridiculous for a guarantee, that surely would never be met, that took a certain number of krill, or player points, to enter, which I won after a grueling heads up battle that took about an hour to finish. That was awesome.

Other memorable sessions include the time I sat in a 4/8 limit holdem game with $200 and had about $1k in front of me within an hour. That was also awesome.

I wouldn't trade the 12 game tourney victory for the 4/8 heater though. The 12 game victory was grueling while the 4/8 heater was just an incredible rush of good cards.

I played two tourneys and two freerolls yesterday. I cashed in 1/4 for $9.80 in an interesting formatted tourney. It's called "ante up." The blinds are tiny and stay the same the whole tourney, while the antes are big and go up fast. I found stealing the blinds and antes to be quite profitable while my opponents played very tight passive. I finished in second place in that tourney.
