Well, after reading all of these poker goals and being inspired and in awe by some of them, I have decided to create one of my own in hopes that it will help me change my ways and achieve my goals.

I am a 23 year old student with no real idea of what to do moving forwards. I have been playing poker for the past 4 or so years and although am I winning player, I have lost several 5 figure amount bankrolls playing way over my head.

My biggest leak as a player is tilt. When things go sour and I begin to lose some buy ins at my usual stake, I will go and sit at a 5/10,10/20 and 25/50 table with the intention of getting my money back. As mentioned before, this has caused me to lose several bankrolls that I grinded from the ground up. I am hoping that by making this blog and staying honest with myself, I will once and for all not play under rolled.

About 20 days ago I deposited 500 dollars online with the intention of grinding it up through good BRM, achieving supernova, and becoming a NL200 reg by the end of this year. My bankroll as of this date is a little over 5000 dollars.

However, within this time period, I have played 3 1,000$ HU hyper sngs where had I lost one of them, I would have been once again broke. Furthermore, I have played over 800 hands of HU 5/10-25/50 NL / PLO in which yet again, I managed to turn a profit. Again, these lapses were due to losing a couple of buyins in a short span at 0.25/0.50 cent PLO.

My plan going forwards is to grind 0.25/0.50 NL and PLO until I reach 7500$ in which case I'll move up. No more will I let tilt take control of me and I will not resort to playing highstakes.

If I find myself tilting, or losing to much I will simply get off the computer an take a break. I will updasate as often as need be, and I will get there one hand and dollar at the time!!!!!!!

One way to make sure you stop while tilted is to write down on a piece of paper what kind of physical attributes show that you are on tilt. E.g. slamming your fist on the desk and yelling loudly, sweating, playing faster and faster.

Write these things down and stick it up next to your monitor. When you see yourself doing any of these things, you HAVE to stop playing immediately and take at least an hour break.

You might come back after an hour and as soon as you are bad beat again start doing one of the things that you do while tilting. Then you have to stop yet again for another hour or two.

Also if you live with someone, ask them to follow up on you regarding this procedure.

I used to do this and its def easier said than done, but if you are focused on following this.(Think of it as a mental stop loss) then you will be saving yourself a lot of money. Saving yourself money = making money.

Good advice, and I will try to implement these techniques next time I play. Played a little over 1,000 hands of 0.25/0.50 NL, was down 1.4 buyins and became frustrated. Played 31 hands of 10/20 NL and made some profit.

FML.

Bankroll: 5,152.05$
