This game isn't about winning. It never was, it never will be. This game isn't about your opponents. They are simply variables to the one constant in the game which is you, the hero, the resistor, the alpha and the omega.

Hi, my name is Niko. Excuse the title, for now. I know what it looks like to you. To be honest, my main goal is not to make it into the poker hall of fame. I won't have any control over that. What I do have control over is myself, and my goal is to be among the most influential people to devote my life to this game. I don't expect this thread to garner any attention any time soon. It's time will come. It's around 7:30 AM as i type this, and just an hour ago i was serving coffee at a diner. I worked hard today. I'm feeling good. Two days from now I will be playing 5/10 NLHE at a casino. The game is too big for my bankroll but too small in the grand scheme of things and too soft to be skipped.

I arrived at Atlantic city at 11:00pm Monday night with my entire bankroll of $3.5k on me. I believe I ran well, I don't think I played my absolute best, but the fish were swimming and I know my B game trumps their A game all days of the week. It's 7:00am Wednesday morning and I am sitting in my hotel room with upwards of $6300 after 15 hours of play (a balanced mix of 1/2 and 2/5). The Borgata is closed until 10AM for some renovation so after I finish this post, I'll read some poker books, and likely hit the tables into Thursday morning. Wednesday nights get busy around here so I'll be looking to take a crack at the 5/10, as stated before. If I don't update this in the next couple of days, I probably lost. I hate losing.

So long story short I decided to take a nap to rest up for the 5/10 game last week and I ended up sleeping through it, waking up in a pretty bad mood and spewing a few buy ins in a deep 2/5 game that was going on and full of regs at the time. Ended that trip up still, but went home with a dissapponting 4.6k as opposed to the 6.3 I began that day with.

Fast forward to this week, I am back in AC until Thursday and after a good first day my bankroll is back up to 6.4k. Highlight of my day had to be crushing some old folk in a 2/4 limit game for $160 at 8:00am as I awaited the check in time for my room.

This is a close second though:
2/5 NLHE:
Hero has T8o on the button, 4 limpers, I raise to 35, 2 callers.

Flop QA7 rainbow is checked around
Turn J, villain bets 75 into 120, i tank call, 1 fold
River Q. Villain bets 125, I raise to 325 and scoop the pot.
