I used to play MTT's and switched to cash games later as I was enjoying the fact that I could stop whenever I wanted to. I was grinding 1/2 and 2/4 on my local site while still playing the biggest weekly mtt (109$BI, 30k guarantee). I managed to have a 12bb/100 over 31k hands while going 3rd and 5th over like 5 times in that tournament which was pretty sick. I was cruising and decided to try live since it was alot softer. I played 2/5 and lost pretty much all my roll under two weeks to some really hardcore badbeats. You know it's going poorly when you're down 4BI in one day in live.
I started to play like 3 weeks ago, decided to play 50NL and lost like 10BI in 2 days..... I placed 11th in the tournament I used to play so it covered a part of my losses but lost a few BI the next following days. I found it very harsh to lose so many BI
So, I decided to start all the way from the bottom since I never really grinded and studied poker. I currently play 2NL because money won't be an issue and I will be able to play as long as I want without worrying to go busto.
So far, it's not going really well LOL! I'm down 10BI and it seems like i'm always trapped in some sick setups. I've been stacked 9 times AK<AA and lost alot of 70/30 allins pre. I also lost a 600BB pot AA<K9s, a 400BB pot KK<A2o and the 800BB pot today FH<FH.
On the positive side, I adjusted my BB calling range as I was way too wide and my 4bet OOP and my 5bets shove where I seems to be a little too wide also since I'm against aces 4/5 which seems absurd to me. I would 4bet the BTN with 66-99 to avoid to play them OOP from UTG. I curently study with PokerSnowie and try to review each of my session.
In resume, I will try to post my daily results, I don't have any specific goals but I will be switching to my local software since i'm currently playing on Stars. This challenge will probably be quite a run but I'm excited about it. My current goal is to go play 50NL with my roll from Stars whenever I have around 800-1000$usd.
