Let me start by saying grammar is not my strong spot.Hello fellow poker players,my name is Rob and i was born and raised in a suburb of an upstate city in New York State and i am a young healthy 52 year old business man who recently sold my business and am ready to conquer my poker challenge in sunny Las Vegas. My plan is very detailed and specific to help as much as possible in my challenge I will be moving to las vegas within the next two weeks providing my home here closes on time which it should.I sold everything i own except my tv , my computer and my bed,I will be traveling light with only 3 suit cases ,i sold my 50 inch to a friend for cheap because he is less fortunate and i gave my 40 samsung monitor to another friend who had no tv, so i will be buying all new equip tment in vegas,i tossed my tower after ghosting it. So lets start with my living situation,i will land in vegas pickup my rental at the airport and drive to my brothers house in the far northwest in a very nice area about 25 minutes from the strip. He and his wife said i could stay with them for as long as i want but i figure 1 month and i will want my own spot ,not my own apt but a private room share or a casita.I figure i dont want to intrude on there lives to much ,ya know.I have a great casita lined up for mid march so if i like it which by the way who wouldnt its on a 750,000 dollar property on a well known golf course i will take it and hang with my bro until then.During my first week in vegas i will either take that casita or look for another place but wont be urgent because of my brother.I will also buy a small car for about 4,000 cash like a 2008 or 09 chevy aveo ,i have been watching them and they are a perfect poker challenge car. Well now its time to talk money, because this is a challenge i will have a limited amount of funds to secure that it truly is a challenge and an obtainable one.I will not at any time replenish my funds for poker or life , so its a true challenge. My monthly bills for a nice roof over my head is about 500-650 depending on situation,my phone and computer bill is 100 per month unlimited and my car insurance is about 50 per month with 500 down so total nut is 750 per month not including gas ,food, cigs or whatever else i might need. My working situation will be as follows,a part time job doing something easy in a food related business or anything else that i might like for about 20 hours per week and morning hours or early afternoons but no week ends and dont ask me to work extra,i put in my hours and adios. Some employers like this kind of worker, like myself. My work ethic is very very strong,i dont call in or walk in late,so a part time job is an easy gig for me. OK money time for real,i will be bringing 3 months of bill money,750 x 3 months,2500 is what i have for that,500 down on car insurance and 300 for 3 months of phone and computer and 4000 for a car,all places i look at are nicely furnished so no money needed for that now.Personal money in pocket will be 2000.So total now about and i round off numbers for this is 9,500. My poker bankroll will be as follows , i will be playing only 1/2 no limit holdem for now with a 200 dollar buy in max and my total roll will be 8,000 or 27 buy ins.I will be playing daily at night mostly and will be bringing only 300 dollars per day so i will have 200 for a buy in and 100 to top off if needed and thats it for now during my bankroll building stage. So the total monies needed for this challenge is 17,500 and i am bringing 18,000.So during my 3 month building challenge i will have a stop loss in place to protect myself,i know some dont like that but for now i must do it. History.I have been playing for about 12 years on a regular basis both online and live and spent 4 months in las vegas last year grinding every day and loving it.I have kept good records since 2009 and am a good player with much profits to boot.I have studied thousands of hours over the years and lost alot of money back in the beginning when i payed to learn. My 3 month goal is to make and save 10,000 towards my roll minus 20% for my poker pay to help with food etc so 8,000 plus my original 8,000 equals 16,000 total poker bankroll.Rinse and repeat for the next 3 months.Sorry so long and i hope i broke no rules. What do you tkink ?
