What's up guys! Been mainly chilling in Bali this last 2 weeks, and still got another 2 weeks between Bali and Singapore! Just love it over here, it's always like a fitness retreat for me.
I've made a lot of progress, training every day, eating healthy every day, waking up early, sleeping 8h, etc. I started exercising and dieting 2 month ago, and the last time I weighted myself was just before leaving Bali and I had lost 7kg. Now I would say I might have lost another 2-3kg and I'm near my "ideal weight" again, and pretty happy overall with my body. I'm the kind of guy who won't go to the beach if I'm not comfortable with my body, which is super stupid but I just can't avoid it. Right now I would at least go to the beach.
Aside from fitness and holidays I also have been studying and planning, and also found a huge mental leak of mine which I will go into later. So I've been doing some PIO stuff, but not nearly as much as I would have liked. I've been looking into 3BP OOP and I'm pretty happy because I think I've found a pretty nice simplified strat which is humanly possible to apply. My plan is to finish 3BP OOP before Vegas. I've also looked into some other stuff, and while studying I'm actually super motivated for both WSOP and returning to online. By the way, just when I thought King10Clubs retired I see him back at the tables and apparently he's crushing like always, what an absolute beast! I think I've said this before, but aside from the usual suspects like Llinus, OTB, Limitless, etc this is the guy I admire most, he just has such a sick work ethic!
On the other side I'm super sad of not playing the SCOOPs, this time zone is just horrible and I told myself I would relax over here, but I might play the Main Event 1K lateregging like 3-4 hours.
I've also been planning my WSOP, I plan on playing the 3k WSOP 6max just the day after I arrive, in case I bust that one I might play the 1.6k Venetian 6max the day after or if I don't feel like playing MTT's after busting the first I will just go straight to grinding cashgames and probably not playing any more mtt's until the Main Event.
The daily routine should be like waking up at 7am, go to the gym at 7.30 until 8.30, shower, go to breakfast at 9.00, and head to the cashgames at 10am until 8pm. The reason for the early schedule is that often when you arrive later than that you just have to wait an eternity to get a seat. I also made like a scoring system to evaluate the game I play to decide if I should stay 2 more hours after 8pm or even more, but if I play longer it has to be only based on the quality of the game, not because I'm stuck (which is my specialty, to grind more when I'm stuck). After finishing my session I will be having dinner and chilling 2-3 hours and go to bed. Also I want to force myself to take breaks every 2 hours for like 10 minutes. Regarding my diet, I will basically have some scrambled eggwhites at the morning, order a healthy meal from AllAmerican Dave for lunch and have a nice dinner somewhere if I play until 8pm which will obv be healthy, or if I play longer just order another AAD meal. And I also ordered some supplements.
So, one more thing I wanted to say, is that I figured that most of my stress is because of thinking of my future or my past, and not really focusing on the present moment. I (this is real) stressed because I didn't know what I will do this October, or because I want to play more Live Poker, but having a wife makes it difficult to travel, etc. It's just super stupid to think so much ahead specially in Poker where everything can change in a second. Suddenly there is a new profitable online site, or a new tournament series where there are nice live cashgames or whatever. I've been trying to try to fix this mental leak, and started reading "The power of now" and will also start meditating, it seems meditation is good anyway, but specially for this exact mental leak of mine.
Last but not least, some pics from Bali and Singapore:
So, my plan is to finish my last PIO sims of 3BP OOP flop strategies, I will try climbing today, because I want to be accepted my the UK Poker Crew, and I won't be accepted until I learn to climb or at least that's what I heard... nah, jokes aside, I wanted to do some cardio aside from training and thought this might be fun. And tomorrow I'm heading to Ubud, and will post pics from there soon!
