If you read my previous threads. I clearly lost my way. With discipline in the stakes I sit at, or the times I play. I feel all things considered I have done an excellent job in this quarantine to not force action and really get my mindset, as well as my personal life in a much better place. Now the key is in the next week when I begin to have slightly more time to play. Will i remain patient and only play when I have the amount of time as well as the environment to take the game seriously and give it my attention. Or will I force action when I shouldn’t play. Or play when I am upset or angry. These are the things I need to work on and remain cognitient of.

Session I just played. Pretty annoying overall. I don’t like playing under 1hr anymore it feels bad and rushed. Which is a great thing that I don’t like it anymore. But I think I forced this session which is bad. But next time I will be better

So this happened.... very annoyed, going to stop playing the game type that caused this crazy bad session. I have to just be patient, and if I can’t play the game I want. Or the time I want. Then don’t play. Instead work on other things relating to poker.

Pretty insane I go back to thing I am good at and we win. I get impatient and change things when it is completely unnecessary. Just very annoying. Because I can’t simply just grind break even and grind. Instead if I am not winning I immediately try to change. Won 1k in like no time basically. I need to internalize I ran well, played well. That’s it. No magic pill.

BOOM! I feel great mentally. I think the most impressive thing that I was given time to play and I stopped early. Even though I was winning a good amount. While I was playing sat there and thought myself wow I achieved balance today. In the past I would play push the limits of my time and create more stress for myself and others. Terrible for my poker game and life.

Today was a great step, I recently invested some of my poker bankroll into mental game training. And today I saw immediately I was more present in the moment I was thinking about my emotions and my play out loud. I remain focus on the game, when my attention began to slip I realized it and corrected it immediately. Today was a great day.

Since making the move back to more 5card plo, I seen some insane results! This is the highest my bankroll has been in months. I feel like this mental game training is really helping. I am thinking about it mid session, and really getting to be more in tune with my mind. Why I think the way I do? Why I act the way I do. Slowly moving forward. I think this is a huge win for me. It comes on the back of my work on myself! Super happy

How are you studying 5card PLO? I find the games to be playing kind of nitty online (PLO5 $1/$2) 6-max.

Hey Humble, It might be in the massive short term but I have found great success at .50/1 plo5. I’m just playing plo5 cause I don’t see regs. I have previous experience in the game so I feel I’m better than most recreationals. But I am focusing my study on plo4. I just hit a new bankroll high since my crazy downswing!
