My journey to learn the game My journey to learn the game

Hello everyone, before I go on, I'd like to give a little info about myself.

I never touched any card games/gambling in my life until maybe 2 years ago when I came across the poker section of twitch.tv. I got hooked after watching 2 people(jpatche and mpokerdonk) and later on AJFenix(which got me hooked on zoom).

I thought I was gonna make some big bucks but I didn't learn much theory and I lost a few hundred dollars(no surprise there).

I decided to take this game more seriously ~5 months ago and so far I seem to be doing a LOT better than before (after around 45k-50k hands at 2nl zoom I am winning ~7-8bb/100 after rake) but I'm still a scrub and have a lot of things I need to learn. I feel like I've learned the basics and now I'm trying to learn about implied/reverse implied odds and how to put people on ranges (the range one is the hardest one..)

tl/dr: I found out about poker from twitch. I thought I was gonna be printing money, and I was(but giving it away to people who knew how to play). I'm a little better now (so far ~7-8bb/100 2nl zoom over ~45k-50k hands) but I think I'm still beginner level.

On to the actual post:

Game goals:
-My goal right now is to learn the game enough and get enough money ($300 to take a shot at 10nl) to play and win at 10nl. To do this I will mostly play on 888Poker and Party Poker, and maybe a little on Pokerstars.

-More specifically, I want to learn about putting people on ranges (I'm guessing that I can probably find something on it here on 2+2) and the implied odds.

Mindset goals:
For the last 20k or so hands I've been losing a lot of big favored hands which frustrated me a lot. My goal is to get over it. I started by reading a post about how you should think of the opponents as your customers (among other things). For some reason this made me more level headed(for now at least).

Game types: Cash games: - 2nl on 888 (I don't have the money for 5nl on here) - reg tables
- 4nl on PartyPoker - reg and fast fold (not a lot of people at fast fold and I can get stats on them easier)

Sit&Go's - $0.55-$1.10 on PartyPoker

MTT - I don't know **** about MTT's(I use whatever cash game knowledge I have for them) and I don't play them much, however, the 1$ MTT's I played on PartyPoker seem to be pretty ok for someone like me so I'll probably play a couple to break from the cash game monotony.

I was thinking of uploading a picture of my graph at the end of each play day to show my progress.

BTW, anyone know if there's an auto time bank on PartyPoker???? I looked it up but couldn't find anything on it.

So the last couple days I had some problems(irl and pc) and I had to re-format my PC so I didn't really get to play.

Today I played about 1k hands of cash games, some sit & go's and I ended up almost 1 stack down.

Been a while since I posted here. I had to stop playing for a while but I am back at it.

I came back and changed my preflop and post flop game. I play tighter now than I used to(getting into nit range but I need to know what I'm doing before I can play looser) and I play a lot more aggressively post flop(cbet more often, x/r more). I'm also trying to always look at the bright side and stay positive which helps out in poker and other aspects of life.

I only played about 6k hands of 4nlz on Party Poker and I was running decently good (after 4k hands), however, I also won a lot of pots just by cbetting or x/r more (I started to do this at around 3.5k hands) - https://imgur.com/a/l8sr2
