I wanted to jam AK otr but villain seemed to be passive and had a very low wsd so I thought he overfolds otr (but could be a small sample problem). So I tried to exploit that by betting small to get a call. When this player type x/jams on this runout I think 1 pair is never good even though we block the nuts. But could be wrong of course with my thoughts

Oh man the swings. First time im experiencing swings like this. I mean it feels that way. Maybe im completely wrong and it isnt that bad at all. We will see. Pretty scared to see the graph on sunday haha.

Played 3 sessions today for a total of 4224 hands which is pretty nice. Wanted to play 3 hours in the first session but got completely destroyed and finished it early. Cant remember how the second session went but cant be too bad I guess, otherwise I would remember I guess. The third session started pretty bad. Got stacked a few times right at the beginning and was tilted. Its funny because I notice it when im tilted because I start to act a lot faster. Tried to stay focused and read 2 posts from people asking about zoom swings which calmed me down. Then I got like a small heater in the last hour playing where I hit lots of flops and everything I did worked. Happy to finish the day that way even though I think im still down a lot today.

Interesting hand I think vs abc reg. Flatted otb because he likes to squeeze. Doesnt matter if you have a blocker, people just always have it I guess
Cant win a hand against this guy. Last time I flatted AK in COvMP when he was otb and he squeezed as expected. Fish in mp just jammed, I happily called and btn snap called. Mp had T9s, btn AA lol

Plan was to jam on a club river. Maybe I have to call otr when everything bricks. The second J makes it less likely he has one. So there is only 88 thats beats us if he doesnt have a J. But not sure if people jam when the fdfd misses. I guess blocking the bdfd is bad. No idea here

Zoom swings are insane, and accepting them is a huge difference between a good reg and fish reg. Dropping 5bi at the start of a session is often just a warm up.

This ^, yestrday started a session, first 15 min. down 4 BI. Set in flush, 2 pairs in set, straight in to FH OTR, never ending..

manage to get at least 2 BI back..and then quit :P . Variance is huge..

Ok just finished todays session and looked at the graphs from every session...omg the graph is ugly
Lost a lot without showdown so I will have to look into that to see in which spots I lost so much.
Overall pretty happy with my volume even. But not happy with the results even though I expected to be break even at the moment for the month.

Bought GTO+ and marked a lot of hands today where im very curious what the solver wants to do. So looking forward to do that tomorrow.

Graph since the last graph update

Got owned here Maybe I should fold to the overbet. Rarely see overbet bluffs.

56s hand preflop has to he a fold preflop

1st AJ hand against the river shove actually feels somewhat close to me. Not sure we have enough Qx to only call with Qx from a GTO perspective. Probably fine to fold as an exploit because nobody bluffs enough here though.

2nd AJ hand looks good I think. It is pretty hard for us to have a ton of bluffs that have decent blockers so we end up having to bluff with some weird looking combos like this

Ya 65s isnt a good call. Thought once in a while its ok and BB was 3b a lot BvB.

1st AJ hand I also thought that people dont bluff enough there. Also thought that this player isnt capable of bluffing there.

2nd AJ hand I looked in gto+ and the solver wants to bet every AsJx 100% for 1/2 pot but doesnt want to jam. Not sure but I think in practice it is maybe better to jam to have more fold equity since I think people will sigh call a lot more vs 1/2 pot.

Played a little bit less volume the last 4 days...2,8k, 2,8k, 2,6k and today only 1,6k. Yesterday and the day before I ran really good. Especially yesterday where I won 460$. Today was the opposite and ran 200$ under ev. Will pray to the poker gods to finally give me a nice upswing that lasts longer than 2 sessions

At the moment I really enjoy playing around with the solver and putting in some hands where I wasnt sure what to do...and there are so many of them. Its obviously impossible to memorize everything but I think you get a feel of what is good and what not and I think it also gives me more confidence for when im playing.

Its really funny how things change over time. When I started playing poker getting better was never the main goal. I actually didnt care too much about learning new strategies and didnt study much. But now I dont care too much about how much I make and only want to get as good as possible.

I think we have a really nice bluffcatcher blocking his value and unblocking flushdraws. But really not sure if it is better to have a T and block the straight or if it is better not have a T because of unblocking Tx bluffs.

Hand against a really aggro player I have marked as crazy aggro. Pre I flat 25% flat. Not sure if the jam otr is good. Never thought he would have AA. Thought he can have Ax we beat, A8 or bluffs. I think his turn check is a bit suspicious. I actually wanted to call first but thought I leave to much money on the table against this player and it felt pretty weak to just call when there isnt too much that beats us.

I think not looking at results is something I can do when im playing always good poker and have more confidence in my game. So when im a better player overall. When you are still learning a lot and building your strategy its good to look at your results because you can see some leaks better. So im again looking at results every day.

Played 2,5k hands and session was pretty swingy. Ran ok but had bad luck with runouts and some spots where I had to fold a lot after investing a lot. But think I played pretty good and im very happy with how I played. Trying to focus a lot more at the moment while playing. I think the last weeks were so swingy not only because I ran bad but also because I played a lot in autopilot to grind as much as possible. So quantity was a lot higher than quality overall and im trying to focus during session on playing the best poker I am able to play and only play as long as I think im playing good to avoid falling into autopilot.

Was pretty tough to fold here but I dont see villain bluffing much here. He was playing 16/13 pre and not very aggressive postflop. And a lot of nitty players are also kinda nitty postflop. Played around with equilab and if we give villain straights, combo draws and TT we only have 28% I think but need 36%. If we add QT which is not realsistic in my mind we still would only have 34%. So pretty happy I folded.

Hi thought its time for an update
Only played 3 sessions since the last update and not too much volume. Yesterday even less than 1k hands. February is pretty hard, I think im playing better than ever before but still not getting the results I was hoping for. Had a coaching session yesterday which gave me a big confidence boost. The coach looked at a lot of stats in my database which was really interesting because with a lot of stats I didnt know how they should be and if I have some huge leaks. Turns out everything looked pretty good and he seemed really surprised saying that he never had a student with such good stats. That really gave me some confidence back. Only thing is that I could be defending a little bit more in the bb which isnt a big leak because of high rake. Winrates from different positions are ok but I think I can improve a lot more in the blinds. If I do that my winrate will automatically be higher so thats the goal for now.

Made some sims with gto+ for SBvBB and BBvBTN and will play against the solutions to improve there. Some people say that working with solver is pretty boring but I have actually a lot of fun playing around with it because I find so interesting to see what the solver wants to do in certain spots.

Last 3 sessions

Plan is to increase volume and hopefully results will get better.
