Hello everyone! I flew out to vegas for a 10 day trip with $5k to my name and it痴 time to run it up. I plan on playing 2/5 at bellagio mostly (10bi) and maybe take shots at 5/10 if the conditions are favorable. No clear or defined goal in mind- other than no paying off tight players! I値l be playing a solid, mostly straightforward game and hope to grind up my roll! Gonna update daily and try to include important meta game considerations/big hands/etc

Day 1 is in the books- played a 7:50 session for a +358 profit. I peaked at +600 but oh well. The good thing is- I was playing my B- game against a fairly tough table, making this a good result. Probably should have requested a table change but I thought there was going to be more player turnover... I ran decent and didn’t get into many tough spots, but here’s one.
-I open utg to 20 w/KJss and get two callers. Flop is K105dd, I bet 35 and MP raises to 125. He was the most aggressive player at the table. I flat and the turn is a 2. I check and he bets big- 325 with 250 behind... I really thought he was trying to make it look like a big semi bluff and wanted to level me into committing my stack against a draw. Made a sigh fold because it seemed a little ambitious of him to bluff my range that calls a raise otf and sees a brick turn.
Now it’s Monday and I’m not sure where the cash games will be best but it shouldn’t make a huge difference where I go, as long as it isn’t Bally’s or similar. Leggooo

Day 2 is a wrap, and an interesting one. Played 2/5 for a couple of hours for a -$700 loss. Table wasn’t great- I decided to take a shot at 5/10 for a bit. Two major hands occur within two orbits. UTG+1 limps, MP raises to 50, I flat BB w/AQo, UTG calls. Flop is Q104dd, I have Qd. We check and original raiser continues for 100- both of us call. Turn is offsuit 6- we both check/call a bet of 250. River is the 2 of bricks, and PFR now bets 700. I tank call and UTG folds. Villain shows KJ for the bluff.
Next orbit, two limps and CO makes it 60. I 3b to 170 in the sb w/AA and only he calls. Flop is 998cc, I don’t have a club. I bet 240 and CO calls. Turn is 5c... I check and he looks at his cards and bets 500, with 600 behind. I jam it in and he tank calls it off- river is another 5 and we scoop! I realized how important it was to lock up this profit so I got up within an hour even though it felt a little dirty. Played some 2/5 at venetian and ran bad, lost $650. So we managed to profit $1648 for the day! On to the next one

I have 7k for 2/5. That’s over 10 bi! I only took a shot at 5/10. Been playing at Bellagio because it attracts so many tourists typically. Plenty of pros but as long as you can play intelligently and adjust to them it’s fine

As someone that had over 20 straight winning sessions at the Bellagio 5/T, I'd recommend that you not play that game. It is very nit grinder heavy. I played a lil Bellagio 2/5 this summer and it was soft as butter by comparison. If you hate money then play Bellagio 5/T. Otherwise I recommend Bellagio 2/5 and Wynn 1/3.

I suppose you can take selective shots at 5/T when the game is soft but expect a lot of nit pro heavy lineups.

Grunch based on title and OP's nickname only: Prepare your anus. I've played at both locations, and P-cola Dog Track may have the worst players in the US. Vegas is not like that.

GL!

Yeah I’ve had this username for 10 years- I’ve changed a lot since then. Title is just to generate interest, but is accurate. Pcola dog track does have a horrible player pool, but I’m acclimated to good players in vegas- even the 5/10 grinders. Gonna avoid 5/10 for now for obv reasons even though I took a successful shot yesterday

Day 3! Started out playing 2/5 at Bellagio, and played under a two hour session for +848. I ran quite well in two big spots. 1st hand I raise in the CO w/Q9cc to 25 after a MP limp. Heads up to a flop of K64cc- I bet 40 and mp c/r to 90, I call. Turn is a 2 and he bets 130 woth 250 behind. Not the best spot but I call thinking I can get the rest of his stack if I hit. River is the 2c- guy looks disgusted and checks- I shove and he folds. He then told the table he had a set- but didn’t realize the board had paired. Whoops.
2nd hand I raise to 20 from ep w/QQ and old man CO 3bets to 60- I flat and and flop comes QA5dd- He bets 75 and I raise to 180 and get it all in vs AK. So pretty easy spots.
Took a break for a while and played a short session at the Wynn for a loss of -$612
Sucks to lose back most of the day’s profit but it’s good to be in the black again for the day.
Tomorrow I plan to play against the Neeme/Brad Owen fans at their meetup game. Should be plenty of action to be had

Day 4- played at Bellagio for 4 hrs for +$554. Such a nitfest at the 2/5... I managed to raise it up w/66- flopped a set, and got two streets of solid value after check raising turn and betting large otr. They bet called me with AK high and hit an ace otr. I then went to the Westgate for the vlogger’s game, but a million people got there before me so I wasn’t going to wait for hours for a seat. I walked to Encore and hopped in the 2/5 for a 2 hr session for +347.
Hand of the session: mp raises to 20, tight asian btn calls, I call sb w/J8hh. Flop is 89Ahh, original raiser bets 40, btn calls, and I raise to 125. Raiser calls and btn folds. Turn is another A- I check and villain bets 150 with 350 behind. I figured the btn folded an ace so the odds of the villain holding an ace is much lower. I shove and villain mucks pretty quickly. +$900 for the day! On to the next

Day 5- I played the wynn $550 100k gtd but busted 75th, about 10 away from a mincash... 3bet jammed 15bbs w/J9ss from bb after btn raised 3bbs- got snapped by AK and couldnt get there. I made a mistake and paid for it; the btn wasn’t getting out of line often enough to make it a good shove. So played for 8hrs- had a little bourbon, some beef jerky, and a few edibles- and hopped in the 2/5 while my roommate continued the tourney. Played for 1:40 for +$568, made my buy in back!
Had a little over breakeven day but pretty happy with the result anyway. Bankroll is moving in the right direction-hopefully I can keep it that way. Today I will either play cash or jump in the venetian monster stack event

Good luck man! That's so cool. I've never been to vegas just drove through it. You're living the dream right now. Is it really hot out there?

I'll read the rest of the posts now.

Day 6- had our first negative day, and it was a big one. -$1944 over two 2/5 sessions. One at Aria and the other at Rio. Game wasn’t good at the Aria and I splashed around a bit trying to stir up the action. Bought in at the rio for $1200, lost close to half of it over a few pots- then got a great double up opportunity when I 3 bet jammed all in with A3 on a AA63 board and got called by A10. 10 otr... Today’s a new day- back to the drawing board

Had a rough last couple of days- we’re basically confirmed busto. Started with 5300, ended the journey with 2k... made some crucial mistakes in big pots in deep 2/5 games. Time to find a job and recover the roll to live another day
