A little about me,

I'm a 30 year old male from Scotland and have been playing poker for about 12 years but have never took it serious.
My stats are horrendous, if you look me up "pazza0303" you will see this.
My problem has always been discipline. Never using BRM, hence never keeping a bankroll.
I recently stopped playing for about 8months and decided to get my **** together, I'm out of debt now, feeling good and have now decided to give cash games the grind I'm due to do.
I hope you can follow me on my journey from 2NL to 200NL fingers crossed.
I plan to post at least once a week with updates.
Anyway enough blabbing **** and lets get updated.

4 days ago(14/04/17) I started with an aggressive 15 buy in bankroll of $30 for 2NL.
I am currently 15,000 hands in playing a mixture of 2nl zoom and 2nl 6max regular

Getting called 3 streets in a 4 bet pot by a pair of pocket 4's when there are 5 overcards to their hand for my AK to lose which had a flush draw on the flop. Ouch. Suck it up.

She's a wonderful beast 2nl and she is teaching me well.
The grind is real.
I've adjusted my play for certain hands, mainly AK, AQ, QQ, JJ.
Less aggression with AK(don't 5 bet jam pre every time)
3bet more with AQ
call 3bets more with QQ, JJ (player/situation dependant)

I'm hoping to be at 5nl in a few days, also I'm due to get a $10 cash rebate in the next couple of days using my starscoins which will help me massively!
The plan is once i get to $110 i will take the $10 off the top and take a stab at 2 x 5nl zoom tables with auto rebuy switched off and stab i will!

Since my last post I have played just shy of 25,000 hands and have only won an extra $10.
Butttttttttt...I got a $10 rebate using my starscoins and won $3 share of the deal jackpot which brings me to my 5nl target of $110. YEEEHH.

Ok so things i have learned in the last 25k hands:

1 Don't play drunk because i think im ****ing superman chasing every draw or overplaying overpairs. I played for 18mins and lost almost 4 buyins.

2. My mental state before playing has to be on point!
(i.e well fed & watered so that i don't get hangry, make sure im not tired and i feel nice and calm)

3. If i lose up to 5buy ins walk away and cool off then come back and review hands and think about what you were doing wrong.


I hit a major downswing between hands 28,000 and 31,000 of 15buyins goneeee. This set me back massively and is where i learned point 1 of my list but we got everything back in order

I won't be able to take my 5nl shots until maybe sunday now which is a bit **** but hey ho, life comes first and poker second.
