I'm having a tough choice, and I'm not sure if I should go with the coaching and the stable (although I'm rolled for $11-22's, they'd start me at the $11's).
I'd be more focused on the coaching rather than the bankroll needed.
Couple tips from an old timer like me.
What I figured out last few years:
Basically today you can figure yourself out almost everything(because the advanced programs), BUT it's extremely tough because no one knows everything. Try to find people who are interested in learning the game and improving. Build a great group around poker and you will all go forward, not just you and the best thing is, you will have buddies to cheer for when they win or when you win, they will cheer for you. I think having a great group around you will be a HUGE benefit for you. I only realized the thing this year and that's what I am working on now. Trying to create contacts and find people who are as dedicated on poker.
Learning:
If you make even $20-$30k a year from poker, I don't see a big point in getting a staking deal, If you can afford to have a poker coach or buy coaching packages, like the Petrangelo Upswing one or BenCB. They only cost you around $500-1000, which is not that much, when you compare how much you pay for staking. You can find even some community within Upswing/Raiseyouredge groups, so there's that. You don't need staking group to find people who want to learn more about the game!
Learn how to use the programs:
PioSOLVER, MonkerSolver, PokerSnowie, ICMizer etc.
This will make you a great player. Learning to use these tools to your best abilities will make you a great player.
If you need a coach, this guy helped me a lot and he is very positive and helpful:

He won't cost you a fortune and you will improve a lot. He can take you to next level. Remember, there's no limit where you can go, but people will tell you "it's fine here, stay here.." Don't listen to them. If someone tells you that, go find new people and move on to bigger things!
All in all, I think staking is not good. I think you can find, especially today for a reasonable price very good coaching and coaching packages, which will take you just as far as a good coach(who take 50% of your profits..). If you learn to use the programs well, you will even make some findings your coach hasn't made yet. These programs are very powerful.
I wouldn't take a staking deal. I would grind my ass off and build a roll and then start taking shots with a certain part of my bankroll. Let's say 10%.. Whenever you have that 10% you take a shot, again again and again. At some point, you will make it and then you will playing higher stakes. Then again repeat.
