MTTs Challenge / Building up a bankroll

Here I am again, decided to drop the spin & go challenge because I was going crazy, wasn't able to see the light at the end of the road.

Realize that I like to play MTTs more than any other kind of poker, so I'm back with a new challenge.

This time I'll be playing at party poker searching for shorter fields. Starting up with $100 and respecting my bankroll.

I'll still be doing these before starting my sessions:

-Excercise and meditate before playing.
-Cold shower before starting.
-Writting here at least 1 time a week (how did I feel? how it went? etc.).
-Review hands and study after each session.
-Avoid to play tired or tilted.

Hope this thread is going to last longer than the other one for a simple reason, I enjoy playing MTTs.

Lets grind!

Thanks for the good wishes! And yes that's exactly what I'm playing, it's going very well so far, been lucky enough to triple the original bankroll.

Will be uploading the graphic of the first 100 MTTs

Re: MTTs Challenge / Building up a bankroll

I might have been lucky enough to start with an upswing, after 260 MTT's the $100.00 usd that were my original bankroll had turn into $720.00 usd.

If you want more detail you can go to Sharkscope: K1NGK1W1

I'll start playing $5.50 usd when my bankroll reaches $2,000.00.

Meanwhile I'll stay focused on increasing my volume, study more hours a week, keep on meditating, keep on excercising and eating healthy.

Keep on grinding

Re: MTTs Challenge / Building up a bankroll

I was not able to play as much as I would like in January but I am back on track now.

After 560 mtts the bankroll is now $940.

Will be uploading the graph at 1000 mtts.

Also I am going to split the bankroll into different poker sites to be able to play more mtts a day.

Do you have any piece of advice on which sites are better for microstakes?

Re: MTTs Challenge / Building up a bankroll

Nice challenge! I am in a very similar boat, played MTTs last year, made some nice cashes and then dumped almost everything at zoom pools due to variance+passive tilt. Now I am rebuilding from $100 playing $0-$1 MTTs on different networks.

I have seen you in the fields of partypoker, how do you like those MTTs? I am thinking of ditching it, I do find the field soft, but the software is just awful.

Regarding the sites, 888 has pretty alright action, nice GTDs. If you can, GGNetwork also is ok, unfortunately it's blocked in my region.

I also found them soft, actually I was thinking of ditching party too the software gave some trouble about a month ago, I got a new laptop and it runs pretty well now so I am going to keep playing there.

Thanks for the advice, GGNetwork is available in my region, have you ever play in winamax?

For sure I will keep posting!

And besides studying I would advice you to be very carefull with your game selection (sites), the size of the fields (the smaller the better), but the real Key is your pre-grinding routine (bust your energy up), I would say thats the most important thing, to feel relaxed and make yourself ready/excited about going to battle.

Good luck out there! Best vibes!

Re: MTTs Challenge / Building up a bankroll

I have being running super hot the last 160 MTTs

After 2435 MTTs the bankroll is $4,600.00 USD

I am very motivated, looking forward for the next months.

Made some changes to the pre-grind routine, now I study at least half an hour before playing and leave the excercise until the end of the sessions.

I have been practicing Wim Hofs breathing technique, I would say it is a key part of my days now, even if I am not playing.

Keep it up guys! Good vibes!

Re: MTTs Challenge / Building up a bankroll

It's been a while since the last time.

I've been playing 5 usd tournaments almost only, shooting 10s from time to time.

And after 4,650 MTTs the bankroll is $5,370.00 USD

I have to admit, quitting the $ 2 and $ 3 tournaments has been a bit more swingy than I was getting used to, nevertheless it's been a good time.

I had to study more postflop and more how to play vs open at any position. Also I had to adjust to the new fields I'm playing.

Still believe that picking the smaller fields MTTs is the way to keep increasing the bankroll, so thats where I will focus more from now on.

Keep it up guys! Best vibes!
