I wasn't hating, I was just saying it wasn't clear that it was sensible. How long have they given you to play 10k games? Any set amount of volume you're looking for per week for example?

Had my first ever review and coaching session today.
I was not as bad as I expected, got to do some adjustment obv but not that bad overall !

Profit wise, it's getting worse every day ... Had to ask for a 100$ as I was going down and down ... Nothing worked ... I had hope having a 53k stack 13 left on a 180 man at the end of the session and being 1/13 ... Before 2 hands that made me lost almost all of it without being able to do anything :/

So far, i'm in for 200$ total and got an 80$ BR as of now.

But nothing a can't deal with, it's just variance and it will get on the right side eventually ( hopefully soon enough cause I start getting tired of running that way ... It's not fun and I've never been actually up since the beginning of the deal, so I don't want them to think that i'm just a bad investment ... )

Will be grinding tomorrow and it will get better hopefully ... HAS TO !

2.50 180s, especially with getting 50% and grinding out 10k games at them is not going to help you improve at poker a great deal, so much that whatever u learn from them will be practically useless in mid stakes mtts the time u move up, just my 2 cents,

Finally ! Finally an upswing, finally a good session ! It felt so great to actually play and not running bad !

So let's do a daily recap, today I played 33 games ... And i'm really ashamed of it ... Volume here is sooooo bad ..

But the good news is, I managed to FT 2 180's 2.5$ ... Shipped one and finished 2nd on the other one. Rather than that nothing ... Just a few deeprun and useless ITM but it's ok

Managed to put the bankroll up to 216$ for now ! So finally on the green side of the line ! I mean it's only 16$ profit since the beginning of the deal, but with the way it went the last week i'm pretty pleased with that come back.

So now it's going to be time to put up some serious volume, play more tables at one ( between 8/10 seems optimum ) and start grinding seriously !

Yeah because getting stacked was the only way to have coaching for free as well so i'd rather take that deal than paying for a coach 50$ per hour for 3 hours and then being broke

Let's do a recap for today ... It's been awful ... Really really bad.

Played exactly 50 tourneys ( mix of 180's 2.5$ and 90's 3.5$ ) didn't do nothing ( just one ITM ) until the last few ones, the last few ones were actually two FT so it's pretty good but ... first one busted 5th ... and second one busted 7th for a huge pot QQvsATvsAT AIPF ... QQ didn't hold there but never mind !

I didn't play my Agame today so that didn't really help ... No real reason for that but I guess i've had poker in my mind for the last 2 weeks and was in front of the screen for the last 3 days ish so might need a little break.

Will have better days But now ... It's time to get ready to work ... Yeah still got a full time 40 hours job on the side.

So my BR now is at 109$, which is reeaaaaaally frustrating since I feel like I just can't take off ... Stuck on the grind, but the time will come eventually !

Finally finished my week at work, so now i'm in days off, it's time to grind seriously hard and study even harder !

Everything has been going downhill since that day where I somehow managed to extract some profit from the tables, unfortunately nothing much I can do on that one, just keep on grinding and studying my game and it will be ok !

They is nothing much more to say ... Just the graph is enough I guess

But as long as my backers/coaches are ok with the fact that variance is a b**** and they are ok with that, everything is fine !

So far, i'm in for 300$ ... That's the 100$ first stake plus 2 refill

I just finished my 2 days off, got to be awake in 2 hours to go to work ... It's seriously draining and really hard to do both a full-time job and invest that much time in poker at the same time ! But who said the way success is an easy road ? Right ?

So after those days off where to be honest I didn't play as much as I probably could have or should have the result is almost satisfying ! I played 72 MTT/SnG ... Which is 2 times less than I expected but that's fine will keep on grinding during the week after work as i'm on morning shift so plenty of time to grind during the afternoon

So let's see what happened, I made 6 FT's on the 180's, unfortunately 7th, 4th, 8th, 9th, and 5th doesn't pay much ... But I just shipped the last one of my last session before the end of my days off ( I was broke as well so kinda help ) !

MTT wise, didn't perf on anything, manage to do a few deepruns but nothing interesting ...

So this is my graph since the beginning of the deal, the great thing ? I lost this little fish in the bowl on SC ... Almost feel like a milestone which is a shame to be honest ...



Now what, well, now the plan is going to play probably exclusively 180's 2.5$ until my next days off so I can put more volume, and since they are the games I got the most edge on, it's gonna be easier for me to get out of the make up zone and start making profit

Before starting i'd like to say apologise to the 2 or 3 people that follow this thread for the lack of news ... Just didn't had much time to do it, got a lot of things going on IRL, plus the grind, plus the coaching, AND THE PARTYSSS ! It's a lot to handle at once ...

Anyway ! Great news, i'm finally back in green overall since the beginning of the stacking, the only problem is that it's not by much and I haven't put as much volume as I wanted to.

So here are the goals for October :

[ ] Play 1000 games
[ ] Achieving a 15% ROI at the end of the month
[ ] Reviewing EVERY SINGLE 180's that ended up on FT

Now, back to the real part.

I played exactly 142 games since the first or October, which is very very very low, so got to push myself even more even if it's not always easy but got to do it !

Result wise, i've been running quite good that week, and playing well ( That's what I think anyway but will have to make sure of that on the next review/coaching session ) so all good ... Finally back in the green as I said, and hopefully just the beginning of a loooonnnngggg good run !

That big downswing did really hurt me but I think it's gone for now, at least i'd like to think so ! It did hurt even more considering it was the beginning of the deal so not really what you're looking for but never mind ! it's done and over with now

I'm back !

Let's do a quick recap of what happened ...

Poker wise, I stopped the stacking deal with the Samurais around December and start to grind by myself ... Could have worked well but I felt like I needed more motivation and I didn't want to get stuck on micro because of lack of training coaching ...

I had a busy/rough couple of months and had a lot of struggle to get over those situations and put myself back on the right track, I'm now feeling good, ready to put some insane hours to catch up with my Belgium bro Flopping bad !

So how am I gonna do it ? Well just got accepted by the Standard Backing team, I sent everything and should start grinding really soon ! Hopefully back on it tonight.

Even if right now is a bad period for MTT's/MTSNG's with those Amaya stupid decisions, it's gonna be a great adventure with that new team !

I'm really glad to be accepted into the team, glad to be back on the tables, and glad to be back on track life wise !

What's up everyone ?

Let's do the first update since beginning of the deal with the Standard Backing.

Well the beginning was tough ... Dropped 100BI at 180's to start with and the beginning looked like that :



But then it got much better, started running really good, finished 2nd on a 4.40$ 8max, shipped many 180's, and had a great couple of coaching session with "Mentality135" and can't recommend him enough, great coach !

And now the graph since the beginning of the deal looks more like that :



That's much better ! Had my first profit chop and now it's time to switch the 2nd gear up and start crushing those games properly !

Life Update

Been really busy last couple of weeks, aside my full time job and poker ...

I had a little bike crash last week and still got to sort it out with insurance and all that stuff ( But at least i'm all good ! ), and obviously weather is getting better in London/UK so spending more time outside on pub terraces drinking beers !

Goals for the rest of the month

[] Playing 467/1000 games ... Gonna be almost impossible but will still try !
[] Updating that thread at least once a day ( Except if i'm not playing )
