Hi friends. Been reading through a lot of peoples pg&c so I'm making one too. I just dropped out of high school to pursue poker full time.
My goals are:
-Win at 2knl
-make 100k by the end of the year

I'm currently a 200-1knl player(I'm a bit of a degen).
Will be sharing interesting hands so stay tuned .
My friend inspired me to make this pg&c thread and we are racing to 100k profit. My graph so far https://gyazo.com/9ddf9b5fd5bc0c885987d218fe38b4c4

Hey guys, It's been quite a while since I last posted and it's high time for an update. finally managed to play 100k hands and I'm currently on a 16k upswing. I'm no longer playing 200nl and I'm playing less tables down to 6 tables of 400-1k as my main games.

Turn: (72 BB, 2 players) J
UTG bets 36 BB, Hero calls 36 BB

River: (144 BB, 2 players) 9
UTG checks, Hero bets 89.99 BB and is all-in, fold

Hero wins 143.55 BB
I think my river range is unbalanced by having too many value shoves. However, I don't need that many bluffs to balance because of the small spr on the river. I do think I should value shove ak because I'm just almost always good as I don't expect villain to be trapping very frequently. Some bluffs I would for sure mix in would be 7x of diamonds and aqs that i floated twice with.

So, I've been a lazy bum since forever. In the month of May I want to grind for 200 hours of 6 tabling NL400+ or play roughly 100k hands at 500 hands/hour. To try and motivate myself to do that, I'm going to make a prop bet against anyone who follows. If I don't hit 200 hours in pokertracker in the month of May I'll give away $1000 as a raffle to anyone who follows. I'll post frequent updates throughout the month as well. I'm also done for the month of april so here's my results: https://gyazo.com/7bf753922e0792d5dc414b81469aabd1

@LAGasaurus1. I dropped out of a pretty good school a few months back because I thought it was super pointless and depressing to go every day and sleep in class. I also had poker going on for a year grinding hu hypers on an insanely soft no rake poker site where I won like 25k. Site went down around Oct. 2017 and I switched to cash. Been working on my cash game ever since.

(Pre 82%, Flop 92%, Turn 95%)
CO shows Q Q (Two Pair, Aces and Queens)
(Pre 18%, Flop 8%, Turn 5%)
Hero wins 208.35 BB

Flop is a spot where you just cbet 100% to a small size I could have gone smaller. On the river it's a really close spot. Solver folds and its -4bb to call. Solver also cbets turn to a tiny size with kings. I think river is marginal either way. Obviously really good if hes jamming queens for some reason.
On the ace 62 ace run-out I think its fine to continue cbetting high freq with trips, kings, kxs and qxs as bluffs.
On a non jack river, kings becomes alot stronger simply because in position has a really high frequency of jacks. Kings can be a value shove on alot of bricks 2-9, k

wow, dropping out of high school to play poker....that's pretty short-sighted.

i was obsessed with poker in high school and started skipping school some days during senior year to sneak into the casino. i was also playing a bunch online and hosted home games. looking back, i was ******ed -- not because i skipped school but because of how important i thought poker was.

anyway, you're on your path and im sure you'll make money, but hope you realize sooner or later that being obsessed with poker has more cons than pros.

I agree that dropping out of high school to play poker is quite short sited. However I didn't drop out of school to play poker. I was super miserable in school and poker gave me the cash security to drop out. Much easier to leave school with a decent bankroll then without any money. I don't plan on playing poker for that long. I have other ideas too. I'm also going to spend a lot of time traveling the world. Sorry for rant

ah, nice. at least you want to travel and know poker is not the long-term solution. that's great. i've lived in quite a few places both in and out of the US, and can highly recommend it to broaden your perspective. it's real education.

what do your parents say about it? just curious....
