Hello all. Starting a PG&C to track my progress, keep myself honest, and motivate myself to stay true to myself and my goals.

I'm an online player who's been playing as a primary income source for a bit over a year. My progress was 'rapid' and I'm currently a 200/500 nl grinder. Last year after a few months of meh online results I withdrew my online roll and decided to go to Vegas to grind the live scene and absolutely crushed. I played primarily 2/5 and 5/T but up to 10/20 at the Wynn and Bellagio. As a side note was pretty surprised how lukewarm/not great some of the "famous" poker players were.... won't get into any names. In January I refilled my online roll.

My current goals are many and have two different groups. The first group is arching/overarching goals that don't have direct pathways towards completion, ie moving up to 1knl, becoming a nosebleeds crusher etc, becoming healthier. The second group are actionable goals or good habits that often take simple dedication and persistence to meet ie daily study time, daily exercise, weekly girlfriend time, etc.

To not overwhelm myself or the readers I'm going to start small with one arching goal and one actionable goal with the intent of updating the arching goals as they happen and the actionable goals monthly. Hopefully each month by focusing on just one actionable goal I'll make it a habit.

For now my overarching goal is to reach 1knl online.

My actionable goal is taking a small 10-15 minute walk a day. I already have the route in mind (I've done it a few times). This is in hope of creating more structure in my life. My life is kind of messy with odd hours (sometimes the best games are running at weird hours), little exercise, and overall lack of structure. By creating a once daily task like walking it'll help me get out of my head and help me hopefully structure my day around it. Even though I could study more, put in more volume, or have other goals, I'll save those for later as I think a simple start on something I'm not doing nearly enough will be very helpful.

My one other actionable goal is updating this on a regular monthly poker and goal results basis. And maybe with the occasional hand discussion. I'm a bit worried about posting hands as pools are quite small once you start getting up in stakes. I'll just update with random stuff going on in my life and maybe some live poker hands. I'll post some photos from walks and daily results as well maybe. OK. Here goes.

January Results +$11,427.09 200/500nl.

Pretty tough start of the month. Had a lot of unavoidable run bad. Felt pretty confident though since I kept up with studying and checked the big spots against sims and I played them well. Ended up going on a god run 14bi+ in 1k hands at about 17k hands in and kept it going since then with a few small hiccups.

Currency

BBs since I'm playing mixed stakes.

I'm gonna be honest, I have yet to take my walk. LOL. I had an incredibly difficult day at the tables yesterday.

My first day started off losing 4 buy ins at 500. My later session after losing a few more ended up clapping back huge generating a 600 and 400bb stack at 500. Only for me to ended up losing it later in the night.

Overall loss was ~-3500. Honestly despite running pretty poorly in overall spots I ran decently in the biggest ones and still managed a significant loss. Actually my biggest loss was 150bbs effective in a cold 4b pot vs 43 which blew my mind. This guy managed to 3b 43 SB vs BTN then call my cold 4b in the BB and river 2 pair. Genius. Lol. Other than that though I ran pretty good in inflated pots it feels like.

To be honest with you I didn't play great. On top of that pool felt harder than usual which could be attributed to running poorly in small pots but honestly I just felt a little out of my league yesterday. Something that rarely happens, I'm usually pretty confident that I'm one the best players in the pool.

I'm gonna go ahead an attribute most of yesterdays loss and poor play to variance and the fact I let myself down not going for my walk-respectively.

Today I've yet to go on my walk (after I post this I swear), but I've had a pretty strong day making a so far net profit of ~2500. Still feel like pool is a bit stronger, but I'm just gonna hit the **** out of the lab tonight and study all my spots. That usually really solidifies my confidence and A game for the next session.

As a side note I woke up pretty early this morning to do some daytrading--mostly because of $SAVA. Ended up not loving $SAVA trade so after selling a few $SPY shares before open (usually 100% in $SPY) I scalped $CPSH. Managed to get in right after the first halt at an avg fill price at $22.76 and dumped it all at $28.5. Small win numerically but relatively huge % and it just feels good to be trading a bit again.

Plan on posting weekly poker results will maybe a share a hand or too then. OK off to walk I go. Let me know if I should or shouldn't continue to share stockmarket stuff.

We want names bro. Don't do us like this. What's the hot gossip? You tell me what pros you think suck and I'll tell you what it was like playing with Hellmuth.

Also what site do you play online? Wsop.com? You ever plan on coming out to LA to play live?

Good luck OP!

I made friends with a few of them. And atm I'd rather not be talking too much trash, it just really surprised me since I assumed these guys (and girls) would be like scary or difficult to play against, and honestly.. nah, a few were spots. I mean I'd just assumed that alot of the 'names' would be good, like people I've seen on LATB or youtube or big tournies etc but they weren't. I mean I even watched a few education videos from these people back when I was still very new a year or so ago.

Basically to break it down for you I think 93% of live regs are just game selecting bumhunters... and that's all they really aspire to be.

I play a few different sites online atm. Pretty much all of them. Yea played at the Morongo once and afoaf technically played at the Commerce once while afoaf was trippin balls on acid afoaf took at an underground club. Definitely plan on hitting LA scene for real soon, hopefully post vaccine, I got old people in my life lul. I hear LA is the best for live, that or maybe Texas? Both on my bucket list.

And thank you for the luck.

Thank you all for wishing me luck.

Session yesterday ended up cruising to nearly 10bi at 500. Closer to 9 but I like rounding.. sue me. Started watching Kanu's course on upswing. Good stuff. Also went on a lovely walk w the gf to a pizza place where I ordered pizza and fettucine alfredo. Which I then ate by myself because she wanted eggs.. whatev.

Today feeling kind of low risk tolerance/aversion to play?? Any tips guys or insights? I don't know some days I feel like I have a very low risk tolerance. Maybe it was because I just absorbed a fat loss then got a huge win. Don't wanna bring back the loss lul. Anyways ended up clearing a solid 2bi's. Had some fun spots. Snap called on xxJTQ xx river in a 3! pot as the aggressor for all the chips. Thought my AK was maybe no good. Nah it was good. SB vs BTN our J9 vs QTo 3bp x-bet-raise-jam aiotf. They hold whatev. Also got called by Ah for all the chips once. Interesting spot.

Also did you guys know UTG vs SB srp. SB range donks a mix between 3/4 and 1/4 on 872r. Ha interesting stuff man. Also I've paid 7k in rake since January. Wtf man. Ew gross ew.

Walk was nice today. Gonna attach some photos.

Lack luster week. Been really up and down. Also **** the yellow line. IT DONT TANK WHEN I GET SET OVER SET. BUT IF I aipf KK and spike a set vs AA all of a sudden I'm the bad fkn guy.

5-10. Started shotting 5-10 last night. Made a cool 3bi (not shown in graph). SO so far so good at 5-10. Yay. Have some cool hands I'll share tomorrow. Just wanted to get this updato potato in. Also lowkey punted a bit yesterday on the 500 tables. Played on like my C+ B- game and suffered a bit. Overall broke even.

Today we did well. Got AA vs KK aiotf after 4b pre and held 250 bbs deep. Overall +5bi.

From past week.

EGG hand. Pretty sure pure fold flop after raised and maybe even pre. IDK why I didn't see the reverse on 56. Though I had 53 or sum ****. After we call though and the 4 came it clicked. But I just don't see a fold. Villains definitely capable of shipping 85 or 86 so rip yolo bolo. Do feel a bit like an elf though.

The reason being that I think that card distribution in PLO converges far faster then NL making aeiv ie runouts be much more indicative of true winrate whereas NL card distribution to me is arguably where run hot or run bad really is.

Anywaysssssssssss..... I'm 10 bi above AIEV this month so far LOL. And I want it to be because of skill not luck.. obviously. If I was below the yellow ***** I'd ***** about running bad. I'm definitely running good in all in spots that's for sure.... There is always something unsettling about running better than you're supposed too.... almost like the boogeyman is around the corner. Anyways. Going to keep playing.

Hi all. Here's an updato potato. Missing about 100bbs from 5 T sessions from today and 200bbs from 2 5 sessions. But idc I'll figure it out later and post it in next post. I'm officially turning off aiev. Was messing with my mental, whether I ran below or above. And honestly it sucks as a metric. Currently I'm trying to get to 100k hands and see where I stand then. 5 T hourly is supposedly lower than 2 5 since I play a lot of 2 5 zoom and 5 T zoom isn't much of a thing. So kinda waiting to make the jump to 8 tables of 5 T or mixing 5 T and T 20. 100k should give me ample funds to go for it.

Re walking. I ****ing suck man I haven't been great about it.

I've noticed I play pretty poor after sex or masturbating and that my kinda outta nowhere uptick in porn use is leading to some brain fog and poor play. I kinda knew sex/cumming made me play worse directly before a session but I'm noticing it's affecting me negatively hours or even a day before hand. So I'm dropping porn as of now. Sex will stay. But will keep frequency lower. Which isn't hard since sex takes more effort both during and before... and after. Lol. Anyways. Currently I'm starting a new exercise goal of 10 pushups 20 situps in moring after wakeup and at night before bed. I've seriously gotten so out of ****ing shape since covid.

On an unrelated note I will be in Tahoe next week or so for snowboarding. Will probably hit some of the casinos up while there. LMK if any of u ******s wanna play a sesh. Aight peace. gl on tables. Also does anyone want to buy BTC? lmk.
