here i am again...

last year in my old thread i had to make a living from poker

Luckily things changed. I found a job (took a break from poker since i was pretty much burned out) and now... finally...i can play without pressure and without continous cashing out for living.

Since i definatly don't have so much time for volume i want to set a different goal: <<insert thread title>>


history:

-see last thread
-sept, 2010: cashed out everything for living/ moving to another location for the job
-startet again from 70$.
-with 5, 10 ,25 and 50nl rush, grew br to 1800$.
-from there on 6 tabling nl100 fr (not rush) ...really was sick of rush...
-after black friday i cashed out my 3400$ and just had 80c + 25 step3 tickets left
-built up 500$ BR with 25+1 matrix super turbos
-since then playing nl50 rush to clear the 500$ bonus

BR: 1113$ (200$ of 500$ bonus cleared)


goals (until end of 2012):
-clearing rest of the bonus...(important for achiving atleast one of my goals)
-reaching hourly of 50$ for at least 100k consecutive hands (rakeback included) while moving up in stakes/improving
-saving at least 10k for stocktrading ...

what really sucks, after black friday i really dont feel very comfortable, having alot of money on ft /stars but there aren't alternatives, are there?

cashing out also isn't so easy since my wife takes something like 50% commision...no joke.

So here it is ...my own little diary ...hopefully lasting longer than last time.

im really feeling tempted to make some jokes about your wife's commision lol.

I like your thread, subbed, my wife always wants a cut too. I talked her into just letting me make deposits into my sons college fund account tho. Question; How do you get your graphs to show up? I did print screen, save in paint, upload to image shack, then posted an image and mine look nothing like urs. Check out my thread I startted yesterday if u r bored.

well ...3 years of daytrading ...1 year of poker ...it just didn't look so good for a son in law. my wife was always patient but never liking what i was doing (that i payed the car / wedding / living expenses didn't count ...dunno why)
now with a "real job" she is fine with me playing poker in the evenings ..as long as she gets her share...ok maybe it is not 50% but i cant continously withdraw money (haha i like my optimism there) ...and park it somewhere (no chance in explaining here the critirias of BRM)

didn't tell her so far that i want to save money to start trading again

i really like that son-thingy though ...but i fear if i suggest that, it will be somthing like 50% for my wife 50% for our son and i can go freerolling or smth like that

hey all,

today the operating system of my pc crashed ...registry error and blue screen while starting .....nothing worked except system restore

what really pisses me off (despite updating windows xp with a crappy dl-speed) is that i lost the last 3 months of my pt3-database...including 20k hands of nl100 fr. additionally, since i was playing nl50 rush lately, i colorcoded 100000000 player via ftp software which is ofcourse also lost.........

on top of that we are moving again to another city in 2 days ..so not much time for playing i guess...

i guess the "easiest way" is smth like 4 tabling nl100 rush while adding 2 more tables of nl50 rush....(i was never capable of that)

i'm also tired of rush poker since i was playing it for 1,5years.
so i will go with normal FR-games ...6-10 tables, the rest is math...
somewhere betwen nl100 and nl200 the goal seems doable.

actually iam struggling with my volume i'm able to put in but atm iam rly busy ..work ..family while moving to another place...

What's daytrading like? Is it hard to succesfull in it and how much of a br would u need to get started to start making any significant buck per hour?

the topic daytrading is soo complex that your question cant be answered in a short way...there are many different ways of trading but it is always hard work if its your only income. if the time is good it feels like printing money ...if the time is bad you ve to fight hard for every single buck.
50k EUR if you are single with low expenses for living...200k if you have a family and a good ammount of monthly costs to cover...otherwise you cant make a proper risk/money management and it would be to much gambling....

ofcourse there are also natural talents ...but not many

increased nr. of tables from 9 to 12 and didnt c alot of changes in my game...red line goes into the right direction and i was playing 19 15..

so hopefully that boosts my hourly by 20-30 % ...additionally rb goes up from 9 to 12 $ per hour....it all adds up.

since i'm having smth like 4-5 h of sleep everyday for few weeks..maybe the next 2 days i wont play and go to bed early...couldnt stop today bcs of rungood
