Depends on the class, but you don't know until you take the class, lol.

What are you studying? Do you like your studies? What are you planning to do after you graduate?

I'm getting my Bachelors in materials engineering and a minor in bio-engineering.

As much as anyone can getting an engineering degree I guess. Interesting stuff, but a lot of hard work.

I'm not sure, basically I will go with the standard, "Get a job and go from there" line.

Does your library not have copies of the textbooks ? At my uni every prof had to put at least 1 copy of all the assigned books in the library. It was great bc it forced me to go to the lib and study if the books were actually useful.

There are some, but you can't check all of them out.

Also, now that I'm in my senior year and also in mat E, I'd actually be surprised if my books were in the library. But, yeah for some of my other classes they were and your advice is actually good.

I now kinda wish I'd used the library at uni which has ****ing everything (almost literally) instead of taking a 'if it's not on the internet, reading someone else's summary will do' approach.

Hey broke,

U ever go play at meadows or meski? I know meadows used to have a insane $2-5nl thur and fri nights. But now PLO took over its gone to ****. And Meski is only good when MSPT is there.
01-10-2015 , 02:36 AM
Used to live in iowa and go to PM and Meski.
01-10-2015 , 05:55 AM
Wow, just saw you broke the 6k mark for your shot taking 200NL, GL!!!

I've never played at a casino live yet, but I was going to go to prarie meadows sometime this year.

4-tabled 200nl for 3 hours. I played pretty bad and made a few mistakes. Got stacks in a ton during my session. People were calling me down pretty light in a couple spots, but overall shouldn't have lost as much as I did. Had my biggest pot ever vs. an aggro-maniac, AA vs QQ all in on 432ddx and I won for a $777 pot

-$900

BR: $5,113

Going to just hit 100nl later today and grind to 6k again :P

If you go let me know how it went. Like I said, the PLO game took ovr the 2-5NL but they do have 1-2NL that runs all the time. Buy in is up to 300 I think. But all the locals play 1-2 and its a tough game to beat. The 2-5 buy in is up to 1K. So that's why it made it loose.

But I know every sun they have a turny going. idk how much buy in is for. But it starts at noon (I think). Plus meadows runs 5 wsopme satellite and that usually fills up fast since they only have a small poker room with 12 tables. U can regstr for those turnys b4 for they officially open registration if your playing in a cash game b4 hand.

But good luck online and live when you go.

Yeah, thanks man. I'll try to remember this and PM you ahead of time. My mom lives like 1 mile away from Prarie Meadows, which is around a 45-60 minute drive from my place.

4-tabled 100nl for around 8 hours. Played decent, ran horribly. Several coolers and very few spots. Definitely the most volume I've ever had in one day!

Best advice I can give you is slow down. When you have a few back to back losers, and you start putting in heavy hours, that's generally a sign that you should reel back for a day or two and pick it up later. Rushing is giving in to that part of you that thinks it can control variance.

I appreciate the advice. I don't do this often, but can tell you I don't have tilt issues and didn't mind putting in the heavy hours today. Was entertaining because I had someone sweating me most of the day, so conversation, stories, etc.

But again, thank you for the advice 11 hours in 1 day is definitely out of the norm! Didn't play great at 200nl, but the 8 hours I put in after that at 100nl were fine, just very slow/some coolers.
