Re: Moving Up Stakes, 2015 and beyond

How do you construct ranges (opening n calling) for a lag player ?( How loose is too loose)

Interesting that you playing only 4 tables. Why not more like the rest of people ?

I play probably a somewhat standard range that would end up being around 24/20/8 as a default. I increase my range based on reads after 20 hands or so. Iso limpers, open wider vs nits in blinds, open wider with fish in blinds, flat wider in btn/co with fish in blinds, etc.

Bovada software limits you to 4 tables at a time.

Depends on positions, preflop actions and board texture

There'd be blood everywhere if Brokenstars floated 54 outta position in a 3bet pot VS me & runner runnered my AA like that. I'd need to sit out for a while, lol

He seems to be a good enough player that its almost unfair that he gets rewarded for the occasional nonsense play.

Guys focusing too much on your cards. The board is wet for my range and I can bluff a ton of turns as a x/r and he seems weak with a 99c flop bet. I'm not saying it's a perfect play or anything, but I did have a plan and it didn't involve runner-runner.

    4-tabled 100nl 3 hrs

Ran quite bad, no value from value hands, lost a couple flips, got rivered quite a lot, and ran into some nutted hands

    Played decent though.

    -$410

    BR: $4,509

I'd say you're focusing too little on your range. 54o close to the bottom of your range at every point there.

It doesnt make what he said any less dumb. What he did is equivalent to 5betting 100% of his 3 betting range bc his "perceived range" is AK QQ+. That is not how poker works and he will learn quickly after he stops god moding.
