66 hand is so rediculous it looks scripted, the fact that you accidentally put the bet slider back to 0 and then fumble opening up the emotes, and then quickly hit bet thinking you've managed to pull off the perfect move

Hey Broken, I've been enjoying this thread and your streams during downtime at the PS office. I found the discussion with Avaritia really interesting here since I went through this as well:

You seem quite intelligent and have a good head on your shoulders so I don't think anything will stop you from pursuing poker greatness. Just throwing in my two cents.

I grew up with a bunch of overachievers and went to pretty good schools. In my late 20's I was making 6 figures/year from poker comfortably and thinking I was so cool compared to them. Now in my 30's, after a few lean years of being a pro, I've joined LinkedIn and see that a lot of them have developed very impressive careers. Many VPs, Directors, lawyers, etc.

In my short experience working in corporate environments and seeing a lot of promotions and moves to other companies, it does seem like the cream will eventually rise to the top in some form. However, I've also made the decision to play poker full time again by making an internal ev/satisfaction calculation.

Unless you rise to a big and influential position in a company, nothing will beat the joy of crushing poker to me and you seem more than capable. There are other considerations though and I wish I had looked at the growth potential of starting a career in my 20's more carefully like Avaritia suggested.

I think you're a bit of a different case though since you're already moving your way through the upper limits. Best of luck in the future!
