The way to crush an anonymous zone pool is to do the opposite of what the population is doing. Streaming is insanely -EV

The idea that streaming is super -EV is insane. First, for brokenstars, Zone is an anonymous pool. No one player is going to know that they're playing with him. And even if/when he switches to normal tables, it's still anonymous with no table names.

As far as strat goes, are people really going to take notes extensively in real time? And most of the spots are just quick ramblings - no real in depth thought process. The only way anyone may be able to get anything out of it is to sub to his channel, which gives him a small monetary reward, and comb through previous videos for random tidbits. It's just not useful enough.

It's obv -ev$ but you can't quantify it and he's smart enough to decide for himself whether it's worth it to him. Maybe he enjoys streaming and gets some life ev out of it.

I disagree with all of that. At some point in your progression as a player, you shouldn't need someone to tell you why they're doing what they're doing. You can decipher why if you think about it and have an open mind. This is especially easy when it is an anonymous pool. I subbed to him simply as a ty for streaming the game type that I play and I've watched maybe 10 minutes of previous broadcasts. *shrug*

It's obviously -EV, but gets my name out and gives me some credibility for coaching which I enjoy doing a lot. Streaming is also fun because it breaks up the monotony.

Whoever thinks Mason streaming is super -EV overestimates the average viewer. I'm sure they pick up some stuff, but most aren't going to sit there for hours reviewing footage, and trying to figure out why Mason does what he does, and try to apply it to their game (assuming they even could apply it correctly).

Also, as I've watched Mason stream a lot, I can tell for sure he is just clicking buttons, like the other day he folded AA on a dryish board when he cbet third psb and got x/r'd.... that hand still tilts the fk outta me and I don't even care if you show the hand history and villain had set, I'm still triggered....

Didn't feel like streaming any today because was running bad/playing bad. Only day 3 of my 100k hand challenge and already struggled a bit today and had to take more breaks, but basically already got ~30 hrs of grinding in.

Ended today down only a couple bi, and believe me it feels like i made 5k ev worth of mistakes so I'm happy with it. On to tomorrow with hopefully a better mindset. Will probably force myself to take breaks every 30-60 minutes.

Anyways super super super happy to have started the month off with a solid heater. Now I just want to run above EV tho.

Up about $1070 today again @ 200z. Ran extremely well in terms of aiev---pry 3-4 buyins above expectation to be honest. Games were meh as I honestly didn't get into any good spots, just ran fantastic in sucking out.

Unfortunately only grinded about 5 hours today... Really trying to get 6+ and shooting to average ~8hrs a day, but had tough time forcing volume again today.

Anyways, all in all doing fan-****ing-tastic. Hope I can continue the good sunrun for rest of month, as that would be super sick. Will probably mix in the 500nl games more often throughout month.

    VAMOOOO

Gonna struggle to get that 100k in if you don't get your ass to work! I agree 8 hours can be kinda brutal - I'm doing 8 hours 6 days a week atm but if you get into a good schedule, should be easy enough to punch out 40 hour weeks?

How you finding sleep schedule etc now that you don't have to BE at work at any set time? Prob one of the hardest things for me atm.

I need to get about 50-60 hrs/week, so it's not 8 hrs a day 5/7 a week... its legit every day.

My schedule is a bit messed up. I want to get 9 hrs of sleep and grind til around 2am, so sort of want to be waking up at noon and in bed by 3 but havent figured that part out yet.
    03-05-2018 , 07:59 PM
Nice results man. I'm the same with sleep. Can't focus at all without 8/9 hours.
    03-06-2018 , 04:59 AM
Got in 7.5 hrs today all at 200z. Ran pretty meh with swingy results first 6 hour and was pry down $400-$600. Then sunrun for 1.5 hours where people just spewed into me and called me with the dumbest stuff and....

    Spoiler:
    +~$1,000 day!
