what up everyone

decided to create mt first 2p2 thread basically to keep me motivated and keep track of my progress.

a bit about myself: I am a 21 year old brazilian kid and have been playing poker since I was 17. Turned 18 in 2015, started griding micro stakes mtts and had a pretty good bankroll managment, which helped me build a 2kish bankroll.
One day had a pretty nice score live for 4k usd maybe, decided to go play the brazilian series of poker which by that time was pretty expensive tourment, made some money, and when a I got back just couldn't find the motiviation to get back to te micro stake grind. By that time I was in my first semester in university studuying engeneering, went throuw some **** with family and live and basically just started punting all my money playing 33$mtt and above. prety stupid.
Took me sometime to realize that the real poker are 6 guys, 100 big blinds deep and 2 cards. I still play tournments, but rn Im just focused in becoming a good cash game player rn

about my cash game experiencie: used to play live with friends something like 0.02/0.05 maybe 4 years ago. In 2016 when I still had some money on stars, would play nl 50 with a 600 dollar bankroll(lol). lost maybe 800 dollars playing HUzoom and basically was never profitable playing any stake.
deposited 100 bucks in the end of last month and found myself grinding nl 16. again, not smart. Somehow managed to make 500 dollars in a couple of days and got really pumped to make things right this time. Unfortunately my run good was gone, found myself playing nl 25 e lost a buch of money.

And now here I am, trying to make things right. I do believe that I can beat nl 16 and I plan on doing it this summer(actually here in brazil is winter but whatever). so lets see some graphs ( I dont actually know if this is gonna work beacause I am a noob here, so let me know if u guys can actually see the graphs)

I feel like Im making some mistakes playing nl 16. The field just underbluff so much that you actually just have to throw that gto thing in garbage. Play 100% exploitave, fold more rivers, fold to mini raises turn and basically just keep spoting the fish until they give you the money

of course I played the hand bad, just a clear fold on the river. But the thing Im talking about is just straight up mucking the hand on the turn. It sounds kinda stupid since vilain could have some value hands that we beat but at the same time he is just gonna have the full house and we are calling dead so more often. Sometimes I just know Im beat and hit he call button, thats someting that I need to stop doing. even if I have the best bluff catcher posible blocking most of their value hands those guys usuaally have it when they bet river. (some regs do bluff and I guess against those we can call more. but for the most part mucking river will be profitable against the field)

I know I am talking a lot about making some good folds, but sometimes just feel stupid.
On the turn he is only representing QJ since he hardly never 3bets J7s in that spot. He could be turning JJ into a bluff and then on the river I have to fold, but since they dont do that often thei either have the nuts or a flush draw. Hard to fold river getting almost 5:1 on a call

played some hands today already but will take a break to watch brazils match. I see I havent mentioned anything about bankroll or bankroll managment. The thing is: besides poker I have been taking sports betting pretty serious too. I realized it isnt just gambling and there actually are some fundamentals behind it. I pay 12 dollars a month for a consultant and til now it has been a pretty plus EV investment. Since I had some money on stars already, I was making the bets on the site. However will stop doing that and leave it just for poker, and later deposit some money in a real sportbetting site.

bankroll at the moment: 500 $ (I still have 8 open bets on stars, but lets assume they all fail) 30 buys for nl 16 seems reasonable.

Hand #2 is interesting, I guess. You don't really have any bluffs in your range at this point vs UTG. So it's nice that you can find a bluff. But I hope this was some randomizer or something that gave it to you (or you had a good read on villain overfolding, but that's not particularly likely since he pretty much only has to call boats at this point) -- a warning that if you're bluffing QJo every time you're going to be massively overbluffing this line.

I guess that in the end is all about adapting to the field. I dont play the same way in nl 25 for example. However I have to admit that I do punt a lot sometimes.

I dont believe the field is opening A4 or A2s utg and since I block AJ, I thought the QJ could be one of the few bluff combos. Didnt have any specific read on villain, just think the field itself will never call in that spot without a boat
