easy in the sense you are not punishing their tendencies and letting them do their thing. They usually take that line with draws and tp's, and snap call raises with them.

These types of hands are so rare that you are better off raising the donk bets. I mean hands where they donk bet bull**** 3 streets.
And obviously the situation will play itself out easily.
I used to be a believer of the "never believe donk bets", but not so anymore!

Raising is certainly option I already said that. Not "punishing their tendencies" has no bearng since I don't know their tendencies.

"Makes it easier for him" is not a valid argument, either.

If they are mostly donking with draws, then it does make sense to raise if they just always call.

You don't know the tendencies of zone player pool yet?

No.

i mean he’s trolling but what’s interesting about zone is how polarized the pool can be. I don’t mean villains are individually polarizing their ranges but I mean on zone specifically you have people playing tighter on average but then still you get 10-15% whales or tilters or whatever.

Like 90% of the time a 4bet is AKs/KK+ but 10% of the time it can be K8o.

In this way the “pool” becomes slightly balanced (still value heavy tho) but not in the sense of one individual 4betting more linear, but in the sense of 8 people 4betting KK+ only and the other 2 yolo’ing atc.

You run into this same issue in live poker but can attribute villain tendencies after a few hours so it’s much easier to deal with.
01-14-2018 , 12:08 AM
I wasn't actually trolling him. I grind zone, and there are certain pool tendencies that are pretty apparent especially considering their donk ranges which are generally weak and idiotic.
01-14-2018 , 04:18 PM
Of the two hands I posted 2/2 included donks. One with the nuts and one with a draw to the nuts and both hit otr lol.

With the donking thing, I agree donking can be wider than it should, but I wouldn't necessarily say it is generally weak (I would say the opposite overall). Donks on flop are not the same as donks on river either, which I believe needs to be stated....

That being said, the donking range I may face on the 986 flop vs. UTG is likely wider than it should be, but having a donking range here is very likely 100% ok. Also even if I were to raise something like JJ here, the opponent should not fold most of his draws anyway, so saying he is calling a lot of draws is still fine. If I were to raise anywhere in the hand it would primarily be on the 2c since this is relatively blank and I should have all the overpairs in my range still and now there is only 1 card to come which I can play easily on. The bad part about raising a lot on flops is that I may be making a lot of mistakes on turns/rivers and vs a 3b otf. Hand is wp and I don't really think a raise is going to generate me higher EV anyway (though it is still in option).

Pretty dramatic difference between your hand in mine considering you have a thousand hands on villain and is playing like 80/30.

I’ll eat my boxers live on stream if that AA fold on 774 was good.

Sic value raise w/AQ on 789 tho.

Nice stream. You’ll hit 100 soon imo
01-15-2018 , 11:31 AM
Considering the spew I ran into from deep stacks following that hand kind of hard to say now. Lol..

100 what?

Ya that AA hand was very odd, almost always beat, but still villain shouldn't be raising that flop regardless with nutted and non-nutted hands.

100 viewers. Chat is more active every stream it seems.

fwiw I dont think it was bad, just close. Im behind most of your tight folds that folks question, mostly bc "zone" (so they arent rly tight folds anyway).

I also wasnt sure if you blocked the flush draw (was playing also so half watching). If you did I take back my boxers comment but still curious about that one.

Regardless, it was a "good" fold in the sense it shows extreme discipline. Folding is hard.

I would have snap folded live bc they always have it (rob farha theorem)

I'm curious on results of the QQ flop fold 3-way otb when you get that.

Nice sess, broken. gj
