Hi guys!

I've starting playing poker again recently, been playing about an hour and a half every day this month on NL5+10. We're talking FR Zoom tables on Stars. I've also started using the microstakes hand discussion forum in here, which I feel has been a good choice.

My winrate on NL5 zoom is 10,45bb/100 ~50K hands
My winrate on NL10(which is what I'm playing now) 0,4bb/100 ~65k hands
I'm playing 4 tables at a time(of course).

Back in 2009 when I played last time for real, I had NL10 winrate of 18bb/100 in FR turbo tables, in a 150k+ hands sample, playing 10+ tables stacked with no other software than HEM.
I know times has changed, and that winrate is impossible to keep these days, and sample is smallish. But considering how much my game has improved since back then, I don't think aiming for a 5+bb/100 is unrealistic on nl10.
So even though my winrate as of right now doesn't show 5+bb/100, I do think it's very likely that variance can be the explanation(or maybe not, and I'm just disillusional, we'll find out ).

Well at least part of my goal, to be able to move up to NL25, is to improve my NL10 winrate.

But what I feel like has been my biggest problem this month, is to actually get myself to sit down and play. I've had time, enough to play like 6+ hours a day, and yet I still only managed to play about an hour and a half daily.

So another side-goal, for me to be able to move up, will be to play more. That simple. I'm aiming for at least 4 hours a day the whole month(from tomorrow, 1/8/2012).

I don't love playing poker, I do it for the money only, because I see and understand the potential there is. I'm about to start a study(20/8/2012), where I will only be paid slightly enough monthly to be able to live for. So in the long run, I aim to make just like 200$(at least! hopefully 500$+) a month.
I could get a job on side of study, but it's not easy to get where I live, and hardly any more entertaining that playing poker. So while I may infact earn less on poker, I prefer the freedom of when I want to "work", and the potential of improving my income, as my game and bankroll improves. Also poker seems like a more safe income(I know variance, but I don't think variance on a montly scale is that bad in FR NLHE), PokerStars, or most other pokersites, doesn't look like they're going anywhere anytime soon.

I will update daily on my results and thoughts of the day(maybe link to hands that I posted in the Micro Stakes FR Discussion Forum), and hopefully this can be a help to keep me motivated, and stay on the grind.

If anyone got some kind of studygroup for micro NL cash games, I might be interested, just send me a PM.

Also any advice is welcome, I'm here to learn, and not to act like a "know-it-all"-type.

Thanks for reading so far, comments are welcome too

It's late here, going to bed, looking forward for tomorrow to start the show!

First session done:
97 minutes - 1845 hands
Result=-32,54$ EV adjusted= -24,39$

Not a great start, I felt I got in a lot of bad spots, where I just had to fold because of either bad turn or river card.

Second session of the day done:
78,8 minutes - 1459 hands
Result= 5,87$ EV Adjusted= 4,90$

I got a ton of hands that I'm even slightly or very unsure of, if played correctly.
One thing that I seem to struggle with is c-betting OOP on flop, after I've 3-betted a passive person preflop(who then called).

A fine session, very few hands where I was in doubt(well a short session too, but still..)

Second and third session of yesterday:
260,3 minutes - 4925 hands
Result= -89,66$ EV Adjusted= -80,49$

I wasn't tilted or anything, just running bad.
My winnings for NL10 Zoom is negative now, but I'm still up counting "rakeback"+bonusses.
I will look through some of the hands, and post those I'm unsure of.(will drop links to thread here, when done)

Subbed, you post some of the better threads in the Micro forum.

You graph looks very familiar as mine used to look like this with a lot of peaks and troughs which without knowing more does suggest that you might be spewing and getting too fancy for the stakes you are playing.

First and second session of the day(a 24 minutes sweat session where I only played 2 tables, and a regular session):
71,2 minutes - 934 hands
Result= 12,39$ EV Adjusted 10,22$

Sweat session was short, but we discussed some things, including that I tend to bet/shove too fast in big pots(as in: I need to take a few more seconds before I click, so it doesn't look as strong), where I actually want the villain to call with as much as possible.
Also doing sweat sessions where both are silence, and the watcher just notes down in notepad/word, to then discuss hands after session, copy/paste the notes, seems to be a good way to do it. Haven't tried normal sweat session where both talks yet though, so can't say if it's better. I see advantages in both ways of doing it.

Both today and yesterday has been small volume-wise because of family stuff taking up the time, but yesterday I expect some good volume again.

Also Gold Star rank seems very realistic, on 4 days, even though 2 of the days has been low volume I got 390 vpp's, which is close to the 100/day I need.
Moving up to NL25 is kinda cancelled, since I rather move to normal tables and do NL16 before I move up to NL25 Zoom. Which makes my goal of moving up more possible.

op GL!
i think jumping from nl10 to nl16 in one month is defenetly doable with the volume you put in and if you dont get unlucky.
You can PM me if you are interested in a sweat session. I havent done a single sweat session where both are silent yet oO. But a lot where both were talking.

What converter do you hint to? (I guess it's not the hand converter http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php since I already use that)

Result= 43,18$ EV Adjusted= 33,30$

I feel my game is getting solid, still got a lot of hands comming up for discussion, will drop links again.

Would be interesting to see your stats. I think there is a lot of room for improving your winrate (less than 1bb/100 on 10NL and all the variance is unnecessary). keep up the good work and best of luck!

Hi schaumy#1 you can see stats in third post on page 1, I'll "update" them maybe once a week, depending on how much they change.
