Ughh, running so bad lately or maybe I'm playing poorly too. Ughh I dunno anymore.

I feel your frustration OP, it's probably a combination of both like you said , because personally, when I'm running bad I find myself playing horrible because of it(missed value bets because I think I'm always beat etc.)

I would suggest a long break, maybe a couple of days, clear your mind, lots of rest and maybe even a professional massage to relax you, that always helps for me. It's usually all mental, the game can deff be brutal and take a lot out of you sometimes in run-bad cases like these. The key is to stay positive and most importantly, focused. It will turn around eventually.

That's what bovada does...makes you wonder daily whether you are truly playing terribly, or if you are really running badly. Or, they have it a better way...make you run badly so you start playing even more horribly. Either way, they get your monies I quit that site, fwiw.

Played last night and won a bit over 60 dollars. I took some interesting lines, but for the most part I think I played better. Made a terrible call but other than that things went well for a change.

So I have anger issues, was playing last night and today, and of course run like total dog s***. Playing so well and some idiot lucks out on you, KK into AA, KK no good vs AQ. The straw that broke the camels back, I have AA on the BB, BTN raises with AKo, I 3 bet. BTN calls. Flop is JTx. I bet, calls. Turn is Q, PSB left for villain. I mean what do I f****ng do here? I bet again put him all in, villain calls with nut straight. I mean that fu***ng s*** happens to me, but NEVER for me. I get super pissed, threw my headphones against the desk and it bounces up and cracks the monitor. I punch the monitor to really break it. I know very good players don't believe in online sites being rigged, but I swear Bovada has some stupid B****** going on especially for the short stackers/fish. Maybe I should cashout and quit poker for good.

Sept graph,

As you can see, ran real bad at the end of the month.

Well, after a week off, started playing again. Was down 200 bucks at one point but battled back to only be down 20 bucks.
10-07-2014 , 12:02 PM
Won 65 bucks in a little over half an hour. Some guy went crazy with KJ dd on a 8 3 5 board with 2 clubs and I had top set. Won a 60+ dollar pot risk free.
10-08-2014 , 01:06 AM
Won 32.40 in about an hour and a half.

Sigh, why do donks run good against me? Call a c flop bet with bottom/mid pair, trip up in turn or river, happened 4 times. lost 30 bucks or so.
10-14-2014 , 12:39 AM
Why do people flop sets against me in 3 bet pots? Sigh FML.

Story of my life lol wish I would lose only 30 bucks when that happens to me though

Hope all is well, GL!

So I decided to stop playing zone for a bit and really concentrate on my game at the normal tables. After a rocky start I'm doing really well. I can identify the fishes in the game and go after them where as in zone it's tougher to do that. Anyways I'll probably stick with normal tables until I get bored of it. Can someone answer, what does a min raise post flop mean? Is it the nuts? Top pair? Draw? I usually get confused and call lol, probably should stop doing that.

Are you using HUD? and do was it variance that made u switch to reg tables?

I use holdem Indicator and to me it helps. I switched because I felt I had leaks that were being exploited on zone plus I didn't know who were fish and who were better players. Playing on normal tables allows me to think through actions and help me play better.

Yea im playing 50nl reg tables. The allure of zone is strong though

How can your leaks be exploitable when every hand is a new game? I can see your tenancies/leaks not meshing well in the zone games but doubt anyone is exploiting them.

That's what I meant. I felt I was doing things that didn't make sense in zone but would make sense if you had some hands on someone.

Thread reached 10,000 views. Probably half from me xD. Anyways played a little last night. Action hand of the night. 6 max $50 eff. CO LAG open 3x. BTN folds, SB calls, BB(me) calls with 45ss. Flop is 235 hh with one spade. SB checks, I check, CO bets 3/4 pot, SB calls, I raise to like 15 bucks, CO jams, SB calls. I should've folded here, but at worst I had 6 outs and I'm getting good pot odds, so I called. CO had top set, SB had AJ hh for nut flush and gut draw. I whiffed and top set won.

I won 120 dollars tonight playing about 2.5 hrs at NL50. Would've won more but had some bad beats.
10-24-2014 , 12:29 PM
Good job. Keep making good decisions
10-27-2014 , 01:17 AM
Damn, had a really bad day today. Ran pretty bad. AA and KK vs flush draws and they obv get there. top 2 vs OESD, gets there. KK into AA. Lost almost 5 BI's today. Donks gonna donk I suppose. Can't wait to see my EV line after I import the hands.
10-28-2014 , 01:14 AM
Good day today, won a little over 2.5 BI's in a quick 1 hr session. I tightened up and avoided marginal spots and if I did have a marginal spot, I played pot control until I had strong value hands. I'll be posting a graph for the past week tomorrow.
