Because I have a tendency to overestimate my skill. tilt a bunch of money higher stakes. It's been my biggest problem going from 25NL to 50NL when I was playing on stars back in the days. So this time I try to go nice and easy.

Starting to play more 10NL. I Feel excited for this weekend action. Hopefully I run good, If I get a good start of a day, I might push it further to get a good ranking in the leaderboard. Would love to end up the week at 1K on GG. But lets not set goal towards money figures and just focusing on trying to do my best poker.

I'm getting somewhere. When I reach 1K on GG It will be a nice milestone and I will stop playing 5NL and focusing on becoming the best 10NL REG. I have spotted a couple of good players. But the best player are not the one playing 24/7 non stop on inf tables. what a shocker.

I might do a top 5 of what I believe is the best players of the pool. Just for the lolz. And If someone have an opinion also on the matter, I would be interested obv.

I sadly ended up not at 1K after the week end. I played some zoom 25 to challenge myself. I can show the pokercraft thing. But I did not upload the hands into my tracker. At one point I ran Very much under EV. Managed to rally back up.



This is all the hands played. With the bad run, the gods punishment, so to speak.

Zoom 25 is still challenging for me and need ton of energy for not so much profit (after rake obv) Going on a other down-swing would hurt my confidence and my roll a lot. So I will wait for next weekend to try a shot and test myself against better player.

Yeah I'm a BRM Nit. Loosing a big % of my roll is scary for me. I do play a ton, and I study a lot also. I'm always in it. My mind is almost always thinking about it. I know that I have to be the more obsessed there is. If I want to pass the guys in front of me.

Lost a bunch back playing some zoom25 again. I enjoy the format but I cannot beat it. I've played 50K hands now. and after rake im down 10bi. and poker craft shows me that I'm up. So what is new for me? I ran it up to 1040. and lost a buch back at zoom.

Had a great session last night when all the 15VPIP nits were gone to bed. Sometimes it pays to be in front of my computer all the time.

Here comes the week end. And I will only be playing a ton. I hope by the end of the week end I will be back at 1K. Respectful amount to have online. As I'm sure people I play dont have that much. So they are pretty much ''always'' shot taking. Having 30bi to play a stakes. you so easily lose 30% of what you have. and if you end up winning 15bi. you take a shot to lose it all in one hour. Lol that dont make very much sens to me. Than your confidence is low. you dont x/raise very much boards now. You seem to always hit in the nuts when value betting, ''people at the micros never bluff''. The bad mental habits start to settle in. 1 week later. you bust your roll after loosing 3 AI preflop.

I will call that the russian-friend cycle. As I said before Its ONE OF THE BIGGEST MICRO KILLER.
Being consistent is my answer to that problem. Building up the skills of being self-aware of the quality of my plays.

I have seen debate a lot around here. About the right BRM strat.
I believe you can have a aggressive strat only if you ''understand'' variance. I've been a long time in the game. And I just start to understand it and accept it.
If you lose 25% of what you spent months building up. In one night. Could you just take a shower have a good meal. Come back and play as 85% as good as you did before loosing it?

My trigger to tilt: My bluff being snap on the river.
My trigger to auto pilot: Very tight games. (bad day construction, hungry, tired, etc.)
It all comes back to having a solid mental game. If you think you dont tilt, than you probably tilt even harder than me who sometimes snap quit the games after a large mistake.

Very tight raise 2 pair plus and sets on turn. fold a lot to steal. your classic leaderboard regs. 3B probably very tight with a linear range all around? not sure. But I feel like these Russian guys have not yet learned the concept of polarisation? (lol)

I respect that guy styles, it maybe jut the hands we played against each other. But I have seen bluffs in some creative lines. I believe he is one of the rare 8bb/100 winner out there.

I played a lot against him very tight player, bum hunter who jumps in stake a lot to hit and run the fish. I dont remember to much about the quality of his play. But I think he has a VPIP of around 15. To tight for a living as would say Rounders.

Let's finish with that guy. I played A TON against him. Overall I think is more of a 4-5bb winner. Not that much 3Beting, that what makes a big diff between the tier of winner. But he is a grinder not doubt. Can play a ton of table at once. And your not happy to see him at your table thats is for sure.

Getting back to 1K playing the reg tables. going very smooth in the NL10 streets. Might get some nice rakeback for this month. Would be very helpfull. I think I will play more 10NL and at around 1250 during a week end I will start taking shots at 25NL, when feeling confident and the games seems weaker than usual.

An other good news is the rakeback situation. with affiliate and all. ANd the fact that I played a lot of 25NL that boosts my potential of rakeback for this month quite a bit. I might receive around 250 usd. Excuse me? 25% of my roll? I receive for free? well nothing is for free kiddo.

Welllll I took a shot at nl25 folks. Aaaand it went terrible. Lost 125. Most of it under EV. Well at least I have something to complaint about. So my roll is back at 900. It was not at zoom at least and I kept mostly my cool while it was happening. So I guess its not just negative. It hurts a little.

I played not that good looking on it. I was very stressed out. Played way too many table because At one point it was worth it to try for the leaderboard. The good old regret of I should have stopped before loosing again. Fish mentality. Well hopefully I am learning at least. Must get that agression higher. Maybe I should find a coach? Anydody?

It's the classic you loose a bunch you don't sleep so well. You wonder how the F&?* is it possible to win anyway, the rake the nits. blahblah. I almost forget the confidence I had when I jumped in the pool to play. Or my overall winning In the GAME as a whole. Not just GG or whatever.

You take a big inhale, a good breakfast. If I had weed I would totally hit the bong like a mad man. Just to not feel too much. But I try to not smoke anymore and I dont want it to be my easy exit.

SO NOW, after the complaining the planing.
- I really think I can beat 25NL even if everything seems to be showing otherwise... Lol.

- I must reduce the number of table I can allow myself to play. 6-8 seems like a nice number where I can get a good number of hands. without loosing my focus.

So I'm back at 1K again. the famous number I have problems getting passed apparently. I went thru some of the 6bet posting last night while relaxing in my bed. Had a laugh or 2. But kinda feel good to not be the worst degen of the site.

As you can see NV my "success" comes from dedication on and off the felt. Massive volume while trying to stay sane.

Had a very good session where i ran veeeerrry good. Almost a 10bi day playing 10nl dont remember the last time I had that. I quitted when i started loosing. Was tired because of the sleep i have to get back after the bad swing at 25NL. Also i spent way to much time glued on my phone reading 6betme posts. Left me with such strange emotions. Am i happy or sad? Do i feel accomplished for the small sucess i had or do i feel like a fail?

The posts are funny, but also kinda scarry. It makes me wonder. Am I delusional. Do regs still enjoy the game. My opponents looks and chat in such a miserable way...
Personnaly i do enjoy the game a lot. I even like loosing. In that twisted way: When i loose I feel something. I dont have very much emotion. Well thats not true I kinda dont feel emotion the same way general population do. Being in poker for a while re-wire your brain I think. After reading that blog im kinda scared to share about myself. In case people make fun of me.

Okay, So I came up with an other plan. By the end of the month, I will try to have played 80K hands of 10NL. I'm at 40K right now. If I do that and I come up with some nice results, + The rake back by the end of the month (hopefully 200$), I should be in a good position for the next month to seriously start taking shot at 25NL.

Maybe you should post some hands? To me, it feels like you could easily be crushing 25NL already, but something is holding you back.

Yes I thought about posting more hands but I feel like just in the selection of hands there is a biases. And like when you post you see the ''fatty one'' for all the money, when it's not necessarily the meaningful one. Then you go to pick the one your quite confident you made a mistake in it. Well if I know I made a mistake what is the point of posting.

That's why I'm looking for someone interested in doing a database review.

So I can improve some flaws that I can't see by myself.

If 2+2 also interested I can post hands. It was easier with snowy to see the ''blunder'' more quickely. But I can mark hands where I had to ''dig deep'' focus hard to come up with a decision. Those one are probably one average the best to review.
