I have decided to start a new thread for the second part of my bankroll challenge. You can find the first part at the link listed below.

This challenge is to go from $100 to $1000 in under a year. We have built the roll up from $100 to a bit over $350. I am not a professional, but I do take this very seriously and spend most of free time studying, playing, or thinking about poker in one way or another.


For the first part of my challenge, I was finding what worked for me and building up my roll slowly. I started playing NLHE but realized I was outclassed in the cash game format and was slowly bleeding away. Following that, I decided to try my hand at NLHE SNGs. I did pretty well there for a while, but had one big losing day. The following afternoon I decided to try PLO. I'm not sure what it was, but something was clicking a lot more there than it was in NLHE.

For the last half of part 1 of the challenge, I was playing PLO2-10 and mixing in some NLO and higher stakes shot taking with part of the bonuses I was earning at work and through rakeback and FPPs. Had some luck and some runbad that ultimately cancelled each other out.


It was time to reevaluate my gameplan as I was facing some stagnation. Being a person who plans ahead, it seems smart for me to layout the next steps to success. Here is my new plan of action.



I will be playing PLO5 until the BR reaches $400. I find that the more tables I play, the less I win over time. This will mean I am only going to play at a max of 2 tables per session. While I enjoy PLO, I will not limit myself to only PLO. Per one buy - in won at this level, I will allow myself one session of NLHE2 and/or 3 $1.50 9 man SNGs at any speed. This will help prevent burnout from one game type and give me the opportunity to continue playing at lower stakes or to diversify during a downswing.

Sometimes, it seems you just need a breather from your regular game type. If I can play SNGs or bottom stakes NLHE it will keep me fresh and thinking in different ways that can help my as an overall poker player.

For the SNGs, if I am +$ after the three I can continue playing them or go back to PLO depending on how I am feeling.

So, we have the games planned out. What about goals as far as BB/100 and hands/day? My goal is to earn 4 BB/100. I feel I can do more, but I want to set a goal that is for sure attainable and build off of that.
My hands per day goal will be a bit different than the mass grinders as I am only going to play 2 tables of cash games max per session. I aim to play at least 100 hands every day, which shouldn’t be hard. On days I work, I will play 100 hands at least. On days I am off, I aim to play a minimum of 300 hands.

On days I am working, I will play all my hands in one session. On my days off of work, I will split my session up into 150 hands per session. I find that I have a difficult time adjusting my play as time goes on to stay balanced, and I definitely notice players adjusting to me and not paying me off when I use similar plays.

Now, what will I do for studying? Each day before a session I will be going over my marked hands in PT4 and reviewing the big pots I won and lost. Also, I enjoy YouTube videos as a means of studying PLO and SNGs. I am more of a visual learner, so that is great for me. Also, I will be using leak tracker in PT4 once a week and reviewing where I need to improve. I will ask questions on here as well as studying other posts to help me improve. Finally, I will be studying balance in PLO through various sources.

I want to give a quick “thank you” to Flpmethntsdlr on this forum for giving great feedback and pointing out some of my flaws to help me plug leaks and get better in Part 1. Thanks man!

First session of part 2 in the bags. Got into some PLO2 since there wasn’t any PLO5 running. Played until the game went heads up and broke +$2.50 ish. Moved over to NLHE2 short stack games and got wrecked mate. PF hands we got QQ in against Aces, JJ in against a loose guy with 88 who rivered a straight. AKs all in vs QJ and he hits the Q on the turn and we miss everything. Overall, I was favorites in these PF jams but just couldn’t hold it together.

Hopped into some PLO5 as it was running when I got back home. Unfortunately I ran like complete crap again. We get AAKQ ds all in preflop and villain shows T864 and flops bottom two pair to scoop. Then again we get AA56 ds all in against the same player with Tc8c7c4c and rivers a flush. Get AAJ9 ss in vs KK72 and flop comes KKA and the bad beat pours on.


Down $13.75 today. BR is at $347.52

On break at work but I'm really looking forward to playing tonight. I am leaning towards a couple SNGs or a late reg tournament. My friend at work is trying to get a home game going in SNG format and I'm looking to hone my skills back on that front. More to come later tonight. See ya!

Whats up guys?

Like I said earlier, I was feeling some tournament action tonight. Played a $1.50+.12 6 Max SNG to start and busted with 88 against AJs.
Ended up going to late reg last level a $3.30 1.5k GTD tournament. There were about 600 entrants and about 121 remaining. We entered close to last place and doubled up first hand with pocket kings. Laddered up a few spots and ended up busting in 52nd for $6.93 with Q9h. Long story short flush cards flopped and we got it in drawing dead to KTh.

Overall, +$2 and change on the session. Looking forward to playing some more tournaments and SNGs in the future, but cash is king! Back at it tomorrow guys. Good luck out there.

Whats up guys?

Played a couple SNGs tonight. Here are the results:

1) $1.50 HyperTurbo 6 max -- bust Q3s in SB vs BB A8o for 2 BB
2) $3.00 Turbo 9 max -- bust J9d v Q8d for 4 BB
3) $3 HyperTurbo 9 max – cash 2nd for $8.10 Q9 v 86s and he rivered flush

Overall, + $0.04 in the SNG category today. Not impressive lol. Played some PLO5 after that. Won $0.90 after 50 hands and my eyes started killing for some reason. I had the windows open since my AC randomly cut out today so while maintenance was fixing that I had that and a fan going to stay cool, but I think allergies kicked in or something. Anyways, played for about 2-3 hours tonight and got my hands in. Feels good to mix it up sometimes and go back to SNGs or NLHE every once in a while.

Here's the story of the home game from last night.

Been talking with a coworker about poker for a few months now. He's 29 and I'm 21, but he's totally obsessed with poker like I am. He is a tournament grinder so it's interesting to me to hear about the big tournaments he plays. Anyways, he mentioned a home game he was trying to get going again. I expressed my interest and got the invite.

Besides him and I, only one other guy showed up since it was such short notice. The other guy was probably 23 and went to the same college as I do. Him and my coworker recently went heads up in a local tournament. My coworker, Jay, finished second for 600 and the other kid won for 900.

So, Jay had a decent setup. He lives with his mom, but she's cool with him talking about chicks and smoking weed (not my thing) and such. He had an old folding table that was propped up with a piece of wood to prevent it from collapsing in the middle. Cupholders were plastic and chipping away. But hey, it's a poker table. Jay also had a big set of thick clay tournament chips. He said they were around $400 for the set.

As far as game format, it was a $25 buy in with each player allowed 1 rebuy for the duration of the session. We each started with 100k starting chips and blinds were 1k-2k to start with blinds increasing by 500 every 15 minutes (or when we realized more time had elapsed) and then increasing by 1k when we reached 5k-10k blinds.

Immediately, I felt out of my element as I knew I would since I haven't played live in a while. I had trouble keeping a flat face when I made a hand or was bluffing. Eventually, the nerves calmed and that wasn't a problem. Jay was coming out super agro and bluffed all in on a board of KJTr with Q8 and I folded T8. That set the stage though.

I made a comment about being a nit after folding 4 hands in a row (9-3 and worse) and they laughed. The other guy, idk his name so I'll call him B, was playing loose and passive for the most part.

I had doubled up through Jay after he bluffed all in with a pair of 6s on a T556 board and I was holding ATs and called. He rebought right away and then I busted B and he rebought.

I busted Jay again after he tried bluffing all in again with air and I called with middle pair. It was down to heads up. B made a great call after I bluffed half my stack into him with K3 on AsTs8sKhJh. When the flop was dealt he was talking to Jay but immediately stopped smiling and shut up. On the river, he tank called with K9 and we chopped. I gave him a fist bump and told him that was a sick call.


A few hands later I had 34s and called off most of my stack on a 2345J runout. I put him on the ace but paid him off anyway because I just didn't believe he would minraise pre with that. I busted shortly after with KQ vs A3.

I was going to call it quits but Jay was saying just to put another $25 up. “it’s $25 to win 150, dude, I would do it if I was you”. I thought about it and was like hey it’s my first home game in a while, let’s go for it. He pulled me into the other room and gave me his version of advice. 7 beers deep, he said to me "just wait for a good hand and stick it to him preflop. You can beat this kid dude I want you to win". It seemed silly but I honestly admire this guy and his pursuit of his dream. Anyways, I was like no **** lol. He had been overbetting pots on every street when I checked and was just running me over.

On the second buy in, total prize pool now $150, I decided to play the same as before but check back everything. He was barreling with nothing and trying to win blinds. I had to let him hang himself. I came back with 100k chips facing an uphill battle as B had 500k. Blinds were 5k-10k and I had to make some moves. A couple hands went by. I was limping and he would either check pre or raise 20k each hand. I was folding and folding and folding. Down to 60k I pick up A7o on the BTN. I limp, he raises to 20k, I jam and he calls with KJ. We held somehow dodging both flush, straight, and his high cards. PSHEW.

Another couple hands later I limp, he raises to 50K (I had 130k) and blinds were 7k-14k. I have AKs and jam and he calls again with KJ. We fade it again on a wet flop and double up. Now its my 260k and his 340k. Pretty close.

I make a couple hands and a couple bluffs and get him down to 200K. Blinds are now 8k-16k. I had been using his strategy and overbetting everytime I had a pair or ace high. Finally, I look down at pocket 9s in the SB. I raise it up to 35k and he jams. I call it off and he has QTd.

Flop comes 9dKh8d. I flop a set and shout “HOOOOOLD”. Jay deals the turn and looks at the card before laying it down. “Oh ****” he says. Turn comes the 7 of diamonds and he makes the flush with redraw to straight flush. I lose my smile for a second but know I’m not drawing completely dead. “PAIR THE BOARD BABY ONE TIME!” I shout. He burns a card and flips over the river. “Oh my God” he says with a look of disbelief. The river is the 7 of spades boating me up and making me the champ.




I stand up and pace back and forth like holy **** that was so sick. I tell B I’m sorry for the suckout and how sick that was. It’s hard to convey the emotions I was feeling. Ecstatic, excited, HOLY F haha.

I had no reason to think I was going to win this game. I voiced out loud that it was going to be me paying $25 (the buy in) to talk poker and be entertained for a couple hours at the beginning. We ended up pulling it off though!

All in all, it was really fun to play that. I had been looking for the home games since I started playing poker. I have heard they are where you can make the most. It’s not a cash game, but this was alright. Jay was saying he wants to get it going every Monday and make it a mix cash game or just NLHE. I told him if he could get a 1-1 or 1-2 PLO game going I would be playing that every week. We will see what happens.

I remember when I first started playing 1/1 in this dude's basement with a bunch of people 15-20 years older than me. I GII pre with JJ against some lady's QQ. She flopped a set and ran out a one card spade flush. I wigged just like you did haha. Threw my hat across the room behind me so I didn't hit anybody and walked across the room. I couldn't believe I got that lucky and at the time, the pot to me was pretty huge at like $80.

Couple years later I lost a 1200 pot playing 1/2 without even blinking. Just said NH, racked up and got up from the table. Lol. Enjoy the game, kid.

Hopped into some tournaments today. Played the $150 GTD PLO for $2.20. Busted one $1.10 BI with AQKJr v J66Q all in pre and another bullet, which was a bit worse. Here’s the hand history for busting bullet #2. Unfortunately I can’t get it from PT4 for some reason but here we go.

I get AAT2 ss with spades pre in the BB. 3 limpers to me and I pot to 720 with 3k effective pre. 2 callers. Flop comes Ad2h3d. I check, MP checks, and BTN raises to 300. I flat wanting to keep the other guy in, which works. Turn comes 3h. I check, MP checks, BTN makes it 900. I jam the remaining bit for 900 more. MP folds and BTN calls showing QKdK3s. River is the last 3. My aces full get cracked by quads. Bad beat worthy?? Yup.



Next, I played the jackpot freeroll of the day. Instantly added on for $0.20. Said it was a rebuy but I wasn’t busted or anything so im counting it as an add on. Busted in 50th out of over 1100 people with AJ v 88 for 6BBs. I was UTG so I was pretty much blinded out if I didn’t get this hand in. Cashed for $0.60.

Played the $2 freezeout and was down to 4 BBs, jammed JJ and ran into aces. Rebought and jammed QJ for 5 BBs on an AJQ flop after villain checked. He called with A2 and hit another ace on the turn.

Played the $3.30 1500 GTD and busted after entering in Level 23 of 25 twice with A4s on a 4 BB stack and KQs vs A5.

Last, played the $5.50 1k GTD. Entered in 36th of 60 remaining in level 3 with 12 total levels of late reg. Finally made a super deep run here. Final tabled this one, which was awesome! I was so excited and had been playing really well with just one or two mistakes. 5 hours in I bust in 9th for $24.36. Final hand: I have AQ UTG and bump it up to 2.3BB and get one caller UTG+1. 80k effective, flop comes QJ8r. I tank check and he fires half pot, I call. Turn was an offsuit 2. I check, he bets 2/3 and I jam. He calls it off with jacks and that’s that. I put him on a hand like KK or a big pocket pair since he just limped after my raise, so I should have just given the hand up, but I convinced myself he had KT or Q9 or JT or something like that with some potential but not-nuts.

Very happy of the performance today. I find my stamina for these long sessions growing (or maybe it’s the caffeine pill). Got down to a final table finally and that’s something to be proud of as far as I’m concerned. Not becoming a tournament grinder, but happy to mix in some of these every now and then.

Overall, we are +$6.46 on the day. Not great for a 5+ hour session but not a loss.

What’s up guys?

Played an hour of PLO5 tonight. No big all ins or anything for me. Made some really good laydowns, though. Up $5.50 in PLO.

Hopped into NL2 and got stacked pre when I jammed jacks and got called by QT off and the guy flops a queen lol. Anyways, played on for an hour and ended up being up $0.30 for NL. No big hands there either besides the JJ hand. Oh, but one guy called my all in with KJo on a 93332 runout and I had 9Ts. Hilarious. That was the same guy that called the all in with QT.

Got down to 3 handed and I dipped. I forgot how fun NL is. I mean even losing to start I was laughing more than I do in PLO. It’s not enough to play for the BR challenge at the NL2 stakes, and I am definitely not strong enough in NL to play too much higher, but it was pretty fun. I think it’s just coming off the home game win and the tournament run yesterday.

All in all, up $6.05 on the day.

Fell asleep watching Rounders for the hundredth time last night. Naturally, I had to finish it. Started my session of one tabling PLO10 and PLO10 with a $3 cap. Hopped between games after it dropped to 3 handed or less. I like short handed play, but I feel like blinds come around way too fast.

Had the movie going alongside my PLO tables, and it must have been good luck. Finished up $17.46 after some hands. Have to go help my parents move, but I think I will be back later tonight. Good luck out there guys!

Update on tonight’s sesh

Went to do some things this evening out of town and came back to play some more poker. I was looking at cash games and it was all 6 max with 3 solid regs per table of plo5 and plo10. Looked for tournaments, but the only ones with a great structure were $50 buy ins or higher. I wasn’t looking to play for 7 hours and be up until 4 am, so I went with SNGs.

Hopped into a $5.50 Hold ‘Em Turbo On Demand. Busted first bullet all in with 7s vs K5s on a flop of 357 with two diamonds. He rivers the flush and that’s that. Bought back in for bullet #2. Got my JTo all in vs 93s on the flop (83J) and he turns the 9 and rivers the 7 of clubs. I flop top pair, he turns two pair, I river the straight that gives him the flush. That’s that guys.

Bought into a different $5.50 on demand SNG. 34 total entrants. Got to final table as short stack with only top 7 getting paid. Fortunately, we were able to make the money. There was one player who kept getting crazy lucky against the big stacks at the table. I mean he would over jam KQ vs AA and rivered a straight, he jammed 88 v TT and turned a set, he jammed KJ vs AK and flopped trips, it was unbelievable. Thankfully, they weren’t against me lol. Well, except for the last one.

Final hand for me. We are 3 handed now and I pick up A4 of spades and jam in the SB. This luckbox calls with JT off. Runout comes A4QK3. I surprisingly wasn’t super tilted, though. I was happy with the run we made and the $25.50 cash. This puts us up another $9 today, which isn’t too bad!

All in all, happy with today’s performance and my decent little run I have made the past few days. I look forward to keeping the run alive! Good luck everybody!

Played for a couple hours this morning. Got some NLO10 going as I noticed stacks weren’t too huge, I could get a good position, and this was the only non-reg table going in the 6 Omaha games above PLO2 running. Quite a swingy session. Started up $5, was down $22, and got back up to be +$2.33. Not results oriented, but I would say I played well today. Got it in good as a slight favorite with one big hand, but couldn’t hit.

Hopefully I will get back in the mix tonight and be able to post some hands. Had a rough night with my girlfriend last night, so I am about to make her a really nice dinner. Bought some flowers for her and stuff, and am now about ready to get that cooking.

End up hopping in the $3.30 1500 GTD tournament. Fire two bullets and bust each one. Lose with A3c v JQs all in pre on a 654KQ runout. Then we get AQ of hearts and jam for 6 BBs and get called by the big stack with KJ offsuit and and he turns a king. That’s all she wrote folks.

Hopped into one table of PLO25 since all the PLO10 games were at least 3 solid regs per table. Seeing how mixing it up at the higher limit goes today. Ended up 2 tabling after an hour and was doing decently. Getting thin value from made hands and not giving too much away. Made $5 and change in the PLO25 games after about 100 hands and started having internet troubles. Time to call it quits there.

All in all, fun playing today. Made around $8 in PLO, but I lost $6.60 in the tournaments, so it wasn’t a huge day for us. I might be calling in to work in the morning. What up guys?

No online play tonight, so that roll is still going to be at $393 heading into tomorrow. I did, however, still manage to play poker today. It's a long story, but here's the short version. I went to a casino about an hour away to play the $30 daily tournament at 1pm. I was going to just blow off some steam and play live again as it's usually a nice, refreshing experience. Plus, I get to actually interact with other poker players, and that's fun for me too! Anyways, they had a $125 MSPT going, so the $30 one wasn't running, but I was there already and didn't drive an hour to not play.

I got on the 1/2NLHE list and realized they had a 1/3 PLO list, too, which is the lowest PLO stakes I have ever seen at the two casinos I am equidistant from. I got on that list. Unfortunately, it was only ever at 6 players and the game never started.

Played NLHE for 3.5 hours. I was going to leave right after 5:30 since they have free dinner in the poker room on Saturdays, but since that big tournament is in town, they decided not to have that either. Man, I missed out on all the benefits! I looked on Bravo and there was nothing to indicate any of these changes, so it was kind of annoying, but there was nothing I could do about it.

Had some interesting hands come up in the game though. Folded pocket queens correctly on the ace high turn with a king on the flop. Flopped the nut flush and got max value by checking/calling flop and turn and letting guy bluff river with a 6 high flush. Same thing happened when I limped pocket fours UTG+1 and it folded/limped around. I flopped a set on a 43K board and checked. One raise, 3 limps and I called. Got to showdown 3 ways with the best hand.

An interesting hand here. I have AsQh UTG+1. I raise it up to $4 (min raise) and get 3bet by the CO, cold called by the BTN, 4 bet by BB. I fold as I think I'm never good with all this action on a pretty passive and tight table. MP calls and the flop comes KJT all spades BB jams, MP folds and BTN calls. BB has TT and BTN has AK. We were correct that we were behind, and I made the correct fold. Just sucks seeing that I would have flopped the nuts.

The old me would have called the BB, but I made the right decision here. I can see myself improving and making tough laydowns, and that reinforces my confidence for later in the game.


I made one big bluff against a guy that I had been chatting up before the game started. He's only 20, but can play poker and bingo at this particular casino. Heres the hand. I get Ac5d in EP and limp (there's a lot of limping at this table and nobody is really folding their limp to a 3-4x PF raise, so i'd rather just see the flop cheaper with this type of hand). 5 limpers and we see a flop of 5s3s6c. I lead out for 10 and everybody folds except the young gun on the button. He had been playing almost every hand in the CO/BTN by the way. He calls and the turn is the 6h. If I had the best hand on the flop I think I still have the best hand here, so I snap bet 15. He calls. River is another 3, no flushes hit. I have to bet a bit bigger here to fold out possible straights he has and possible overpairs that stuck around, so I snap bet again. $35 into the $62 pot. He tanked and I could feel him looking me up, but he folded after about 2 minutes. WOOT WOOT! That blood gets pumping when you make a river bluff, you know?

All in all, my goal was to just play tight and solid poker without being overly aggressive. I had live tells on a few players that saved me from going broke, and I had position on 3 of the 4 really solid players. I tried to widen my range by playing some weird hands IP and OOP like K2s and 97o, but I folded to flop cbets when i completely wiffed. I think this helped me to win the hand I talked about in the previous paragraph though, as all my showdown hands I had won except for one. I'm happy with the experience, and happy to make a nice payday.

I bought in for $180 and never added on. Cashed for $324. Made about $30 an hour! I called in sick to work this morning for a number of reasons, but I made more playing poker than I would have at my job today. Plus, I had way more fun. I was really trying to be the talker at the table and keep the mood light. Watching the WSOP final table with Hesp made me remember why I liked live poker so much. Not just about winning, but it's fun to talk to other likeminded people and show bluffs sometimes!

Normally, I take half of my live winnings and put them onto ACR, but I have a lot of bills coming up this week. I just got the call that my motorcycle is finally done after a month and a half, so that's gonna be around $650. Plus rent and all that stuff, so I think I'm going to keep this cash for my life roll until I sell the motorcycle.

Looking forward to playing again tomorrow, but it will be on ACR then. I think I will play PLO if the games are good. If it's a reg war, you can find me in the SNGs or tournies. Good luck out there guys! Keep grinding!

What’s up guys?

Played some PLO as it wasn’t reg infested too much. Started off in PLO25 and lost an all in pretty quick, but bounced back. Hopped back down to PLO10 on two tables and got pretty tilted, but managed to book a win tonight. I was extremely tired today for some reason. Took the caffeine pill to no avail, though. It gave me more energy, but my eyes are really sore. I do have a couple hand histories for you, though.

1) RIVER TILT INCOMING

I think I played this hand really well and disguised it. Too bad my opponent woke up with a hand he’s never folding no matter what the flop brings. We were a 90% favorite on the turn, too, which is a bummer. This is just to show what a cruel game pot limit Omaha can be.

Overall, in cash game PLO at a various bunch of stakes, we booked a nice $27.48 win. Not too shabby for us!

Wasn’t done playing yet, though. So, I cracked open a bottle and hopped into the last level of late reg for the $0.11 $100 GTD. I know there’s no huge financial possibilities here, but I wanted to chill and have fun. It costs 11 pennies to play for crying out loud! I joined in 168th/the 208 remaining with a stack of 2500 (6 BBs). Ended up laddering a couple times and busting 86th of 846 total entrants. Final hand I get AK in CO vs HiJack Min open raise. I just jam it in and it folds back to the HJ and he calls with 9s. We miss and that’s it! 2.5x our buy in though haha so there’s that.

I've been thinking lately that games are a lot better online during primetime weekend hours. This is probably obvious, but I think I will reserve taking shots for the weekend. There are a lot more people playing, especially drinking and having "fun". I sure partake in the festivities when I'm playing for pennies, but I believe that weekends are going to be better for me to get the most out of shot taking. I will have to resist the urge to climb the latter, but it's for the best.

So, this means I will be playing PLO 10 until we can get up to 500 (or the next weekend) and take a 2 buyin shot. Just something for me to think about. It's not set in stone or anything. Have fun guys!

It was pretty loose, but we were 40% on the flop. Top pair, NFD, BDSD, etc. Not getting away from this I don’t think. Runout puts the hurt on as we miss and lose to a better kicker. Whaaaat?

That’s how the sesh had been going for us. We were quickly down $30 after that and not running well at all. I decided to be a degen and go try out medium stakes PLO. I missed out at the casino playing live, which is no excuse, but I wanted to see what would happen. We were on a freaking roller coaster there. Here is a hand that was quite poor for us. The bing bong is real. As soon as I saw the flop I said to myself it’s all going in unless the board pairs on the turn. We had way too much equity to fold here. Two pair with trip/boat possibilities, Straight draws, Nut flush draw, I can’t get away. We face the turn bet for all our chips (except 10 BBs) and go for it. Finally, a river that actually helps us! We bink the effective nizzies on the turn and our day is made.

We scoop the biggest pot, BY FAR, of the challenge and get a fantastic boost to the roll. Nothing like winning a monster 3 way all in pot for all the marbles. Oh man I feel like running around the room and screaming haha like I won the lottery or something. That feeling is so amazing. The heart gets going, the blood is pumping, and you see that final river card and it all comes together.

Not looking for negative comments here. It was not the best decision, but I had the live winnings to resupply if need be. Thankfully, we didn’t need to reload.

It feels so amazing. The roll is healthy enough for us to get playing PLO10 totally comfortably and PLO25 isn’t too far off the horizon, now. We get the biggest win of the sesh, the biggest pot we played, the biggest everything. It’s like a fat tournament score or something. I don’t even know what to say lol it’s only $167 on the day, but that’s so much compared to what we have been playing for.

We are now more than halfway through the challenge, baby! And rakeback tomorrow is gonna be thicc.

Played a quick $1.10 $150 GTD PLO tournament. Busted in 33rd of about 150 with AA33 ss vs JTTQ. That’s that, though. If tournaments are high variance, PLO tournies are the mother of swings.

I pretty much put the guy on exactly AAxx pre as he was a nit and I knew this, but my hand has pretty good playability post flop as we have a double suited pair + SD/FD hand. We flop favorably, and do what we have to in order to get the money in, but at this point the guy just thinks his hand is too pretty. Unfortunately, it got prettier, and we lose a big pot.


This hand made me happy to have notes on this player. I had him marked as a fish and a specific note reading “chases NFD all the way down”. Fortunately, we were able to make the read and pick off the semi – bluff, but I’m sure he thought he had the best hand despite the wetness of the board. I decided to just call even though I thought it wasn’t a value bet, but there were a lot of straight possibilities this fish could be holding. All in all, we made the right play and scoop a big one!


Up $11 on the sesh and that puts the BR to $601! Keep climbing!

yeah it was ($1/2) PLO200. Took some of my live winnings and was willing to deposit if I busted that portion of the roll, but we made a big hand thankfully.

Unfortunately, my life roll just took a big hit as I had over 1k in expenses this week alone between paying off the maintenance on my motorcycle and rent/utilities/car payment/insurance etc. I had to take 250 out of the online account. Hopefully, I can reload that in the near future, but I need some extra money if I want to get groceries and books for school in the next couple weeks. Hate to do it, but I have to.
