What's up guys?

Not playing tonight. I just did 6 hours of homework and have to work early tomorrow. I have no mental energy left today. Back on the grind after work tomorrow. I finished all of my assignments for the rest of the week so I should be good to go! Good luck guys!

Got back into the PLO4 mix tonight despite that headache coming back. Hopping between 3-4 open tables and loading up new games as others broke. Played for 2 hours and got about 300 hands in.

Started off running really well, but I made a bad call here and there. I did make one hero call with two pair when villain shipped it with a missed straight and flush draw, and that was a proud moment for me.

Going to be back at it tomorrow barring any acts of God. I have to go out of town to my parent's for a couple reasons, though, so I'm not sure I'll be able to put in a big amount of volume (for me).

Ended up +$1.53. Doesn't seem like much, but it's about 13 BB/100. That's a winning session in my book. Happy to keep the streak alive, that's for sure. This makes 11 winning days in a row, baby! Session wise, it's not as big of a streak. Still, I am very happy with how my PLO game has been going.

Not too much to say, guys. Working on my value bets with non nut hands, still, and it seems to be working. Also, I have been really trying to eliminate calldowns with sets on flush/straight rivers and most of those laydowns have been correct.

It may seem like obvious stuff to a lot of you more experienced PLO guys, but it's still my first year playing. I think I am getting better every day, and that's my goal. That, and making BILLIONS lol

That's all for tonight. Run hot and stack some chips!

What's up guys?

Played a 1.5 hour session at my parents' place tonight while cat sitting for them. Ended up getting into PLO4 again. I was playing 4 tables that whole time and managed to get 210ish hands in.

Swingy swingy, what else is new. Started off getting crushed on one table by this fish who was chasing EVERY pair+draw he had. That was kind of frustrating at first, but I realized he's the guy I want at my table calling with the worst hand. Sometimes, he hits.
Ended up double stacking him by the end, so it's all good.

Like I said, swingfest as usual. PLO is helping me develop a tolerance for that. Not sure if that's good, bad, or what. Seems like a double edged sword.

In the 210 hands I played, I ended up winning $5.89 for a BB/100 of around 70. I will take that, please and thank you!

Chalk it up as a win, baby! Let's keep climbing!

What's up guys?

Played some NL4 at work on my break yesterday. Bought in for $2 and cashed out for $2.22. Nothing crazy. Just rivered a straight vs a guy barrelling with an overpair or something. I don't know for sure because he mucked, but there you go.

Played 1.5 hours of PLO4 tonight and binked some ring dingers. That means I hit some stuff. Played 4 tables and got about 250 hands in. It was one of those sessions where you put music in and just go autopilot mode. I was making river bluffs and stabbing at paired boards quite often. When I got called, I had it. When they folded, I was bluffing. Just one of those nights where you get everything going smoothly. There were a couple hands where I got set over set or boat over boat, but for the rest of the session, we were just coasting. When it was over, I felt like I just sat down. Maybe because I had a decision to make every second, which seems to make time go by faster. Who knows?

Finished the session up 3 buy ins and change for +$12.96. Would like to keep playing as I was seeing A LOT of new players who were of the fish category, but life calls.

That's all for tonight, guys. BR challenge going pretty well on Global. A LOT better than on ACR hahaha idk what it is but I'll roll with it. Good luck out there, guys!

Sup guys

Played live the past couple nights so that's why I didn't update.

Went to a home game and played 1-2 PLO. Did really well to start, but played one huge pot and lost set over set with AK77ss vs AA32r on the flop of AK7 rainbow. I had the blockers and was thinking I was against a flush draw, but I could have played that better.

Went to the casino last night for a couple hours. Played 4-8 H.O.E. for the first time. It was all fixed limit, which was new for me, too. I have to say, it was really fun. Mostly a bunch of old dudes and one Phil Laak type guy in his late 30s. He was entertaining and very happy to donate.

I made a huge river bluff with KQ89 utg. I open to 8 pre, got called by MP1 and 2, reraised by Phil laak, 4bet by a tight but aggro decent player in CO, and both btn and sb call. I also call.

I'm thinking one of the reraisers has aces and I have a good middling hand to crack high combos. Flop is KQ9. I check and it gets raised and all but one call. Turn is a J and I bet out. It gets reraised and I float. River is an 8. I bet out again, all but laak and CO fold. Laak raises, co calls, I reraise. Laak tank folds, and co tanks. He calls.

I say "2 pair" and he says it's good and rolls over Q823. Everybody looked at me like I was crazy and then asked CO why he called and he "just wanted to see it". That got me some respect, but I dipped after the BB came back around.

Good experience overall and I was happy to leave a winner!

Back at it tomorrow guys!

Despite my best judgment, I hopped into some PLO4 again. 4 tabled for an hour and got 199 hands in. Tilted at the end and blew a buy in chasing a boat. Flop 3 pair with AKJ8 on AKJ flop. Pretty obvious villain had QTxx but I chased and folded to a river jam. Bad play and I am frustrated with myself for making it.

Still ended up for the session though. It wasn't as easy as it has been, though. I was OOP on a maniac on one table who was instapotting pre and again on the flop. I realized this after he did it twice in a row, tightened up and got him with a flopped set.

Flopped top set on another table, turned a straight and got it in with the nuts. River brought the flush my villain was chasing, and there went another stack.

Like I said, it wasn't the best session to date, but a win is a win. +$0.70 for a BB/100 of 7.5 or something like that. Not the greatest result, but I am happy to come out of that session ahead!

Once again, back on the grind tomorrow for real. I have class, but I am looking at playing in the evening after I finish my homework.

Going to a comedy show with the lady tonight for free, so hopefully that will be uplifting! Good luck out there guys!

What's up guys?

Played 2 hours on 4 tables tonight. Switched it up and played PLO10. Decided it was time since I had 30+ BIs at PLO4. I think 4 tabling was a mistake, though. Especially with one being 9 handed. That's a learning experience though!

So, in the 250 hands I played, I got in 3 5 way all ins. Lost all of them to some goofball who was calling off his stack with nothing but a J high flush draw and kept hitting. Over. and. Over. I thought he was a bot at first with the ridiculous calls he was making, but he got in the chat box occasionally.

That's how it goes sometimes. Had a pretty fun time playing, though. I was making some higher level decisions with good 3 bet bluffs on the river and folding strong hands to better ones. Overall, I would say I was on my B+ game. I just couldn't really get anything going. Down $8.38 on the session. I am not disappointed with that, though. It was just some variance mixed with being a bit too loose in certain spots.

I will continue playing PLO10, though. I'll go back to PLO4 if the BR drops below $110. I am going to only be 2-tabling in the future to really focus on my game as well. That's all for tonight, guys! Good luck at the tables!

What's going on, guys?

Hope you all are doing well out there. I had a pretty good night today. Played some PLO10 this evening like I was planning on. Joined a couple tables and immediately switched to other tables as I realized these games were not the best I could get in.

Finally got myself into 2 tables of PLO10 with a good fish to reg ratio. For the most part, I was running pretty well. My big hands held, and that's all you can ask for. Ended up +$28 in only 72 hands after an hour of play. I realized I was at my win stop for the most part, and I didn't want to donate to any more pots. I was happy with my play and happy with the folds I was making. It was only an hour, but that's my win stop. Gotta stick with that just like the stop loss.

I am happy that PLO10 went well tonight, of course. I will keep playing at this level, but I am intrigued to see how the games are during the weekdays as Friday and Saturday night are the prime hours.

I will update my actual bankroll at the end of the month, but I am sitting extremely comfortably for PLO4 and am pretty solid for PLO10. Like I said, if we drop below $120-110 I will go back down, but it seems like we are doing pretty well. Good luck guys!

What up everybody?

Had trouble finding open games tonight for PLO10. Waited a bit and hopped into a couple, but they weren't very good games for a multitude of reasons. Ended up starting on 2 tables of PLO4 and waiting for the PLO10 games to open up.

When I finally got my seat, I was up about $1 from PLO4. Ended up playing one and a half hours on the PLO10 tables, which I only was playing 2 of. Had some hands go poorly quite quickly, but I managed to pull through and end the session up one buy in after 150 hands or so. Got out of a hole by using some weird betting patterns early to set up big hands later, and they paid off nicely.

I did manage to flop a Q high straight flush in a 5 way flop in one PLO4 game, but a 5BB (.5 pot bet) on the flop UTG made everyone fold. Oh well.

Happy to be hitting another win in PLO 10 and climbing the ladder. Let's goooo!

Another winning session in the books. Played for just over an hour and won 4 BIs and some change. That makes this our biggest winning session on the new poker site.

Im not sure why, but after my past 2 big winning sessions (today and yesterday) I felt depressed or something when I closed out my tables. Like I was happy when I was stacking people lol of course but after the session I just felt underwhelmed or something.

I don't know if it's directly from being done playing or if I am just tired or what. I have been trying to quit vaping/smoking lately and maybe that's what is causing my emotions to change. That said, I have been doing well in controlling tilt. I got stacked early on today and just kept trucking where the old me would have been steaming after getting it in as a favorite and getting rivered. Something I have to think about.

Also, I don't understand why nobody's commenting on this anymore. Like I start doing well and then everybody disappears. That's just something that's been on my mind too. That, my parents are moving out of state and I have no family left besides them and my sister who just moved away. My best friend is going to a different school that's an hour away. I guess I'm just lonely. Oh well. All I can focus on is poker and school anyways.

I got invited to a home game tonight, but it's NL. I think it would have been fun, but it's -EV since it's not my best game and it's short handed. Fun would have been had, but money probably would have been lost. Glad I stayed home. Rather have the $ then 3 hours of poker with somebody pretending to be my friend just so I can come donate to his game. ****, that is depressing..

On that note, I hope to keep this upswing alive tomorrow! LETS GOOOO

No poker for me last night. Had about 6 hours of homework to do so I could get ahead in my classes and have tonight to go to a study session for one of my tougher classes. I have a test in that on Friday, so the study session is crucial for me.

After that, I will be playing for about 2 hours give or take based on how the session is going. Good luck out there guys.

I like plo because it's less solved than nl and action seems a lot better!

Peeps offer well-meaning advice...you slag them off (that would be me )
You don't post HH in readable format (don't use HH converter etc)
Too much spraff not enough HH/analysis
You play PLO, that narrows the reader/follower field a lot

Just a few thoughts since you ask. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong again, it's your pgc

tough love, but i appreciate it.

You are very right about all of that lol.

I suppose this is like a life challenge in a way. I put my thoughts and personal goals in here as well as my poker stuff. I suppose that DOES narrow the field.

What’s up, guys?

Didn’t play last night since I had a physiology test this morning. I failed the class last semester, so I wanted to get a solid grade on the first test to kind of carry me through the semester. I feel okay about it. 8 hours of studying + a 2 hour study group led by the teacher should cement me at a C or better.

Kind of been out of 2+2 for a few days it seems like. I went out to the casino Wednesday to play some 4-8 mix game of fixed limit holdem, FL Omaha, and FL O8. Pretty fun game, honestly. I’m not great at limit hold’em, but the rest is really fun. I have won 6 of the 6 times I have gone to this casino. Of course, most the people playing this 4-8 FL game are all 50+ years old, but they joke around and have fun. I like that, man! Plus, on Wednesdays, they have a $50 hourly high hand promotion for this game type only.

I have been averaging $14 an hour here, but it seems the game breaks pretty early. Nobody wants to stay and play on Wed. when the high hand promotion ends at 10pm. I went today, and the game broke at about 6:15. I got there at 5 and sat at a full table, but then everybody left when the BB was coming to them.

Hopped on Global after a $20 even win at the casino since I didn’t want to stay and play NLHE. Hopped around stakes, which is not advised, but it’s Friday  the donks are out and about. I want to chase them! Maybe that makes me a donk. Oh, well. I won a bit of moneys.

Here is a fun hand. If you have 2 minutes, click the link below to watch me cry after villain hits an interesting river.

https://play.globalpoker.com/poker-c...70cd1ba85deb03

Should have folded pre lol

Anyways, up around $45 after chasing a jam fish around. Maybe we call them jelly fish. IDK. (anybody?)

Close to $300 now! The misses just got home so it’s time for me to dip! I’m all hopped up on coffee though. This could’ve been an all-nighter.

I was listening to a podcast with Scott Seiver talking about how he did a 70 hour marathon session (with a 3 hour nap after hour 50). That kind of makes me want to pull one of those. Of course, I have school and a job. One of those every day of the week, so maybe a 12 hour marathon after school one day. IDK we will see what happens. Good luck, guys!

What a session.

Played 400 hands 3-4 tabling PLO10 tonight. Basically, I had the same people on every table with the exception of a couple fish popping in. I was OOP of the decent aggressive players with big stacks early on, but change seats after they opened up so I could be in position on the regs.

That seemed to pay off. I was down approximately 3 BIs at hand 200 but battled back hard and hero called one guy on the river. We ended the session + about $9.50. Makes it about 25BB/100. But that all came at the end of the session, let me tell you.

Oh, and I had another guy make a straight flush with a 3 and 6 in his hand lol. But he was short stack so it didn't hurt me too bad.

That's it for tonight, guys. I am ending the day up, and that's all that matters! Keep it going!

Unbelievable night.

Played some PLO after school, lost a buy in with top set on a rainbow board. Guy goes runner runner for a 3 high flush and scoops. Decided to get off and go eat. Came back, hopped into a $2 NL tournament and a $5 PLO tournament.

PLO- got it in with top set again and BD j hi FD. Dude calls off with bottom set and rivers quads.

NL - Was in the top 10 chips with 16 getting paid for the first 10 levels. Ran hot early on and just got **** for cards the last hour or two. Finally pick up A9o in the CO. I open jam and folds to BB who calls the 6k with a 45k stack. He has 44

My A9o vs 4d4s.

Flop: A23r
Turn: Ks
River: 5.

WTF man i was so tilted after that ****. Freaking sit here for 4 hours to get ****ing rivered by some 4 card straight bull****. I knew it was coming and closed my eyes and got up and then - bink - the five and i just fell over lol like COME ON MAN

Well, rough day for me. Back at it tomorrow. GL guys
