soooo i built most of my roll playing MTTs and I've been playing HUSNGs pretty much exclusively for a while now with marginal success, but my motivation for them is fading. So i figured I'd set myself a new challenge. Motivation is part of the reason im creating a thread for this. I've never really set myself any short term goals in poker and im not the greatest at motivating myself, I see it as abit of a leak.

I've cashed out a significant portion of my roll and im going to start myself with $250, going to play 2c/5c until i get to $300, then just go with a 30Bi strategy until i think i need to change that.
I'm planning on playing 4 tables to start of with, cos get burnt out too quickly if i play 6, i'm in no real rush to move up the stakes so my volume should be fine for what I want.

This thread should hopefully help me monitor my progress, motivate and maybe even meet some people who can help me improve my game.

Sooo yeah, my first short term goal is to post to this thread weekly, hopefully i can do this

UPDATE: Played a few hands at 5NL but decided just to go straight to 10NL with around 26Bi, Got around 1.5k hands in but ive spent more time working off the tables and i feel ive adjusted my game alot in this time. Because ive mainly played HU my starting hand selection needed some work, definitely started off playing too loose, but i think ive adjusted now and im playing pretty standard in that department.
Another leak ive noticed is not giving people credit for hands, virtually everytime ive been reraised post flop the villains showed up with the nuts. I guess that translates from HU aswell, i keep on levelling myself into thinking they're thinking about my range when they play back at me when in reality even most of the regs just play straightforward as hell. probably the best strategy for this limit.

I am also having some trouble when i flat 3bets, going to run some filters in PT4 when i get home to see how much im leaking here, it feels like abit.

Results wise i think ive dropped about 2 or 3 Bi, im running way above EV when all in pre. but feel im running far from hot post flop, not too concerned with that though as im still transitioning.

Going to post my graph on sunday and either do it weekly or in like 5K hand intervals. i try not to pay too much attention to it as it puts me off my game.

Current goals:
Review atleast 1 hand a day where ive flatted a 3Bet and 1 where i've 3Bet and been flatted.
Tighten up in my BB and SB

Interesting Hand
Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #36745911

    SB: $10 (100 bb)
    BB: $10.45 (104.5 bb)
    UTG: $23.11 (231.1 bb)
    MP: $12.46 (124.6 bb)
    CO: $10.15 (101.5 bb)
    Hero (BTN): $11.97 (119.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with A K
2 folds, CO raises to $0.25, Hero raises to $0.67, SB folds, BB raises to $2, CO folds, Hero calls $1.33

    Flop: ($4.30) 6 8 Q (2 players)
    BB checks, Hero checks

    Turn: ($4.30) A (2 players)
BB bets $1.70, Hero calls $1.70

    River: ($7.70) J (2 players)
BB bets $6.75 and is all-in, Hero calls $6.75

villain was playing 22/22 but only 23 hand sample, think he was a reg.
wish i took longer to think about this hand cos its a pretty obvious fold now I've looked at it, dont think i thought back to the fact it was a 4bet pot,
his range is sososo narrow here, KT is hardly every 4betting, probably cbets AJ,AK, JJ wouldnt bet turn like that most of the time, AQ,KK,AA Cbets for value? possibly checks AA/KK but we have blockers.

even without looking for his exact hand out of all the hands i just mentioned in his range they all beat us except a spazzy played KK or a chop with AK, just never a call.

    Spoiler:
    Results: $21.20 pot ($0.95 rake)
    Final Board: 6 8 Q A J
    BB showed Q Q and won $20.25 ($9.80 net)
Hero showed A K and lost (-$10.45 net)

Get the Flash Player to use the Hold'em Manager Replayer.

obviously it is easier to range him so narrow when i knew what he had, but i need to start thinking about hands street by street as i play them like i have here, will definitely save me some money.
