So it is official i am receiving coaching. I don't want to expose who it is at this time because idk if he would be comfortable with that. He crushes high stakes bovada games as well as 20/40 and sometimes higher live. I have a mutual friend and was introduced that way. He is offering myself and the pre-mentioned friend an AMAZING deal because we will be his first students and he wants to see how it goes before he decides whether he wants to get into the coaching game. This will be a great opportunity for me to get coaching from a great player for a price tag i can manage being a low stakes grinder. I'm very excited to see what the future holds!

Was suppose to do this yesterday but one day late won't hurt anyone! We are getting around to it and that is what's important!

Weekly goal accomplishments and fails:

My Goals:

-Poker
1. Play 15+ hours/week.
- Crushed

2. Study 2x/week for 1 hour+
-Crushed by a mile. Got flopzilla and was looking at how ranges interact with certain boards for a good bit. Got some goo hand history in.
-Coaching is going great. I've watched him play live as i ask questions. He's watched me play live and given his input as we went, which has got me thinking about things i hadn't thought of before which is great!
We also went over hand history and thus far i'm very satisfied and happy with it!

3. Be profitable at any win rate.
- Win
-+$1100

4. No sessions lasting longer than 2 hours.
-Needs work
-Play one session too long and what do you know, it was our worst one! But other than that one we have done well here.

-Health
1. 3 days/week of gym/cardio.
-Went to the gym for the first time in a long time! Also went on a hike sunday with my brother and then jumped on the tramp for alost an hour. So i'm gonna say this one was a success!

2. 10 minute meditation 5x/week.
-Needs work
-Zero meditation done

3. Read 1 passage from "The Daily Stoic" 5x/week.
-Needs work
-Zero passages read. REALLY want to improve here. COMMON ANTHONY!!!

4. To bed by 11pm on average.
-Have not done well here but i have been able to sleep in so as far as hours go i've been sleeping plenty but i would like to get to bed earlier and rise earlier. It just sets the day up better imo.

-Other

1. Go on 1 date/3 months
-No dates and we are coming up on 3 months. Gonna have to do something about this soon...

2. Practice guitar 2x/week
-Needs work
-I play my guitar occastionally but havn't gone through any of my lessons. Idk why this is so hard for me, i really enjoy being able to play. Just need to get myself to start and i'll enjoy it. This week!

Overall i think this last week was a success and i'm happy with my improvements!

I havn't updated with any graphs in some time, mostly because i've been playing alot of live. But for the last week I've been back to the 50NL grind and playing zone poker per my coaches request. He says the mixture of seeing more hands and not knowing your opponents forces you to play GTO and will help me improve faster.

So here are my overall graphs for 6-max reg speed 50NL thus far, my overall graph for 50NL Zone thus far, as well as 100NL for the short time i played it before deciding i wasn't ready. The 100NL graph isn't pretty but i like to be 100% transparent on here. I monkey tilted HARD the last day i played which is why i decided i wasn't ready and to move back down, even though my BR was set for 100NL, until i could get my mental game under control.

6-Max 50NL Reg Speed:

6-Max 50NL Zone:

If someone could tell me a good site for sharing images on this forum it would be greatly appreciated. I've always used TinyPic but they shut down as of August 20th. For not i'll post graphs in the form of imgur links but i'd rather the graphs be able to be seen just reading through the forum like they were before.

We are in the midst of a 13.5 BI downswing at 50NL Zone. We were previous to that on a 14 BI heater. We have recovered backed a little and only down swinging at 11.5 BI's. The sad part is we are actually running above EV just over 3 BI's. Most of this downswing happened in one session. I don't think i played very well this session and i CERTAINLY played for far too long, something i know i don't do well with. But nonetheless it happened, we played poorly, and now we must fight through. Zone is tuff for me i won't lie. I relied heavily on reads for my bluff catches in reg speed tables. Through HH analysis i feel i'm getting a better understanding of Bluff to value ratios and seeing spots that i'm overfolding and spots that i'm over calling. Hopefully as i continue to study these variables i'll find some relief.

Until next time my friends!

Woooo baby did we have a wild session on Thursday! We went down 6 BI's at 50NL zone and recovered after an 8 hour sesh! Holy moly! We stayed in it mentally, played good pokes, and persevered! Huge confidence booster there. Ended the sesh up 2 BI's! We decided to take the day off as a result yesterday. Went on a nice 10k run with me madre at a local charity run thing! Been killin it lately guys with study. Just got done with 3 hours of HH review/solver work in the tuff spots. Also been study a lot through the early parts of the week and had a nice sesh with the coach.

My game is evolving and in a weird place. Trying to apply new concepts and not always doing correctly but then in review i feel i'm plugging the leaks. Review with the coach helps as well! Graph of last session below.

Also i'll be streaming some of my sessions on twitch.tv/TzurrR if any of you wizards want to come say hi! Will be doing so in about an hour. Love some constructive criticism too! Idk where you disappeared to @BrokenStars but i miss you and your stream! Also loving @Angeles streams, especially the HH reviews! You're the man! CHEERS!

I have pt4, play on ignition but have to wait 24 hours to import my HHs.

So you probably use Ignition Hand Converter right? If you want to catch the hands live so you can get your graph than you have to purchase Ignition Card Catcher. You just have that along with PT4 running during your session and it'll grab the hands as you play them, convert them into format PT4 likes, and input them. They have a set up vid on the Catcher that will pull up when you run it that explains how to make it work

Hello 2+2 fam! Hope everyone is having a great week and looking forward to an amazing memorial day weekend! I didn't do a goals up date this Monday but i will do one next Monday! That being said i have been killing it! In most areas anyway. Been running alot, did a 10k with me madre and gotten a couple hikes in since last update. Now i just need to get to the actual gym for some lifting!

Poker is also going well. I've managed to climb at out the 13BI downswing as you saw in last post and currently on a 22.5 BI heater! I've been putting in loads of study time which I am very proud of. Lots of HH review coupled with some solver work here and there when i'm unsure about how i should be playing certain spots. But mostly just HH review and seeing where i'm betting when i shouldnt, bluffing when i shouldn't, and getting good at counting combos so that i know my value range and therefore can construct good bluffing ranges. As a result i feel like i'm picking my spots much better during my play. Maybe this upswing is just a heater but it feels like a little improved play as well thrown into the mix.

My roll on bovada, after taking $700 of for bills, is $2300. Obviously i could easy start playing 100nl but i've grown to love Zone and i really don't want to go play reg speed tables. So instead i'm just going to slowly shot take 200nl. Instead of shot taking 200nl Zone online i'm going to pull about $600 off and go play live one of these weekend, maybe this weekend if i can manage to get out there. If we hit the bad side of variance we just grind back until we can take another shot. Hopefully we upswing and build the roll to a point where i can start full timing 200nl Zone online. I know this is going to be a big step up from 50nl zone and it might crush my soul but i am willing and put in the study and grind through it! I just wish bovada had a better withdraw option, i'm always eating these damn bitcoin fees. If anyone has any tips on how to minimize that i am certainly all ears. I've only played on session since the 8 buy-in session posted above and i'll post that below. Spoiler: It's a new session high

Have a great memorial weekend everybody! PEACE

Hey gents! Hope everyones week is going great. Went on a nice hike with the fam yesterday after having some delicious home aid chicken and mash potatoes! Hiked out to a beautiful waterfall. I swear i am at my healthiest mentally when i get at least one hike a week, which ive been doing consistently now for the last month or so. Pic below:

Also got a 3 hour study sesh in this morning and then a 7 hour grind tonight! Another great night and we were on the cusp of having another record sesh but then ran Ak into KK and some other random cooler spots. Still a great sesh though and i really feel like i'm playing tremendously better! If you guys want to come watch i've been streaming my sessions, both study and grind. Tonight we had 45 viewers at one point so it was fun talking with people and listening to music. Over the last 10 days after out 13.5 BI downswing we are on a 30 BI upswing! I'll post tonights session graph and the last 10 days below.

Tonights session:

10 day heater:

Tomorrow i am headed to the casino to shot take some live 1/2 so wish me luck! Enjoy your memorial day weekend everyone! CHEERS!

What's good my peeps! Live poker grind went pretty well! I arrived at the casino friday at 6pm and didn't leave until Saturday at 5pm. The games were simply too good to leave. When all was said and done we ended up in for $800 and out for $2300 for a profit of $1500. Not too shabby. Had some family get togethers to get to so headed back afterwards. The plan was to throw the money back onto bovada and start playing 200z but upon further analysis of my finances i realized i overlooked quite a few upcoming bills and won't be able to throw any of it back into the roll.

Normally as a veteran student i receive the G.I Bill which pays for school and housing and food allowances and that is where my income lies. But seeing as i am taking this fall off i've had to accumulate a nest egg of 5 months bills paid. So between that and car insurance coming up next month (i pay 6 months at a time) i'm going to have to not only put the profits from this weekend into the bank but also the the original $700 i took off to go play with. Good news is that we are completely and totally set to comfortably free roll the next 5 months and still have 2k in the poker roll.

Question now is do i want to continue playing 50z or move to 100nl reg speed tables. I don't really love the idea of reg speed tables and i'm not sure that my winrate would be high enough to compensate for the lack of volume i'd be able to get in. So at least for now i'm going to stick to 50z and plan to shot take 200z at around $2600 with a stop loss of 2k.

I'll be streaming a little study session as well as my grind on twitch.tv/TzurrR today if you care to join CHEERS!

Weekly goal accomplishments and fails (9/2/2019):

My Goals:

-Poker
1. Play 15+ hours/week.
- Destroyed this with 34 hrs played. 14 online and 23 live.

2. Study 2x/week for 1 hour+
-Absolutely obliterated this goal with at least 6hrs of HH review/solver work. 6 of which were live on twitch! Very happy about this.

3. Be profitable at any win rate.
- +33bb/100 at 50z with profit of $821.
-+$1500 at live 1/2.
-Total of +$2321

4. No sessions lasting longer than 2 hours.
-I'm not really sure i want this as a goal any longer. I'm starting to enjoy longer sessions and i feel like alot of the stress of grinding has dissipated as i get more confident and comfortable with my game. It doesn't seem to be affecting my health negatively. Also could be because we are getting out in the sun and excercises more. Either way by next week i'll determine if this is a goal i still want/need.

-Health
1. 3 days/week of gym/cardio.
-Went on a hike, ran two times. NAILED IT!

2. 10 minute meditation 5x/week.
-Zero meditation done. I think i need to lower this goal. Starting this week i want to shoot for 3x per weeks. 5 is too much too quickly and i end up just not doing any because it is too daunting.(i am add and sitting still is hard haha)

3. Read 1 passage from "The Daily Stoic" 5x/week.
-Actually accomplished this! It was a blessing too even though i had to push myself to do it some days. It only takes me 10 min tops and i usually get a nice motivation boost and starts the day off right.

4. To bed by 11pm on average.
-No bueno here. Been going to bed far too late, especially when i went and played live and didn't even sleep on saturday! Don't think 11pm is reasonable and might have to change this to 1am. I think i've i can be in bed by 1am and up by 9am i'll be happy. The grind is too good late at night.

-Other

1. Go on 1 date/3 months
-No dates and i very much need to work on this. Although i won't lie i have been more focuses than every on poker and dating would very likely detract from this. Hmmm not sure what to do here. Will have to give it some thought this week and decide by next Monday what i want to do about this.

2. Practice guitar 2x/week
-Although i have been playing i havn't learned anything new and i very much don't like that! For some reason the idea of learning more about the guitar is very daunting to me and getting myself to sit and comitt is very hard. This needs work. I MUST GET AT LEAST 1 GUITAR SESH IN THIS NEXT WEEK!

Overall great week and i am very proud of what i've accomplished. Obviously as far as results go i've been on a massive upswing and don't expect to accomplish this level of results every week but am very pleased that we did! See you all next monday for another goal update! CHEERS!

Same here.

I stumbled onto your stream cuz I like to watch other people play Zone and it was during that epic rostucko session. I gotta admit, the car crash aspect is what kept me watching at first but to see you grind out of that hole was inspiring. To follow it up with huge upswing was even more inspiring!

And your study sessions are very fun and informative to watch for someone that isn´t the best at studying such as myself. You´ve earned a fan here. Wish nothing but the best for you.

What's up everybody just droppin in because i didn't yesterday after the sesh and then we took today off from the pokes. We had our best session yet yesterday! I know i've literally said this the last 3 sessions but that's because we are on an insane heater! I'll post the graph below. $185 from the graph is from the end of the previous session which went past midnight and i can't figure out how to filter it out. So really we made about $615 for a 12 BI session!

Because of this sick session there is a good chance we will be yet again shot taking 200nl live this weekend! Hopefully we do well again and this time can throw it all back into the roll and start looking at playing the 200z pool!

Just got done with tonights session and it was LONGGGGG. We got about 3-4 hours of study in in the morning and then a 8.5 HOUR SESSION. Reason? Because we are on a 2 weak heater and i don't want that to end so OBVIOUSLY we gotta push and try to make some money. 8.5 hours and 3.2k hands later and we made $4 SON! The heater continues!!!!!!

About 90% sure i'll be heading to the casino tomorrow for a 1/2 shot take again. This time all the bills are paid and it can go straight back into the pokie roll!

We are backkkkkkkkkk. It's been a long time and mostly I've just not been playing any Poker. Got burned out as a result of poor balance. I've always struggled with balance; I tend to go all in or all out. BUT I really want to push myself to be better at this.

In the spirit of full transparency, I'd like to talk about what happened shortly after posting this last 50k hands graph. I went on a MASSIVE downswing. I handled it VERY poorly. I think as a result of poor balance it became too important for me to be winning at a high winrate. I'd subjugated other things in my life to poker and so when i swung down it was too much to handle, which made me play even worse and downswing even more. Lucky i was smart enough to get out while i was still ahead 10k hands later.

Below is my FULL graph at 50nl hands at 60.4k hands played with a W/R of 6.7bb/100. This w/r still isn't bad and it was inevitable that i would swing down from 14bb/100 because I'm not that good, not even close. BUT it certainly didn't have to swing that hard, and it did as a result of my own inexperience and inability to keep my cool during a standard swing. Today i start again, back at 50nl zoom to give it, and more importantly, life balance a new go at it. Being poor at balance has effected me in areas outside of poker so i want to use poker as a tool and place to start in an effort to become more balanced. LET"S GOOOOOOOOO

Looking at the rake I realize this is a big hurdle to jump at 50NL. (The worst stake you can play for rake). I'm in a place where I can afford to throw on 4k for a 200NL roll. I don't know that I'm winning at 200NL but I know I'll eat less rake, my time invested in studying will pay off more, and I'll be more motivated.

So, off to the 200NL tables we go! I know this will be a long road and I need to stay very disciplined ni my approach. So I'm going to follow these rules and guidelines to a T NO EXCEPTIONS.

1. 1 hour of study 3 days a week.
2. Two 1.5 hr grind sessions per day with a MINIMUM of 30 min break in between them.
3. Grind no more than 5 days per week
4. 3 workouts per week
5. A written schedule on Sundays outlining the next weeks school assignments, school study time, gym sessions, and poker study sessions. (Grind sessions will work around these if times permits but ONLY after they are looked after.)
6. 5 min meditation before each first poker session.
