Hi all, long time player here, not active on 2p2 but with this thread that will probably change a bit.

I'm from Zagreb, 32 years old, have wonderful family and playing poker for living since 2009. but I would say that in Sep 2014. after dropping college started taking it more seriously.
Before that I've played everything: online cash, 6 max, HU, PLO, live cash, mtts, playing low volume(15k (h/month) and satisfying with 2-4k€ per month, and spending everything so my bankroll didn't grew.

Since 2015. I would say every year was bit better then last one, if I don't count mtt bink in 2017. when I won 90k for 4th place on wcoop( had 75% out of it)

Probably I'll post more about previous years, mistakes I've done, stupid moves, crypto fail etc. in later post.

Last year I made bit more then 100k on cash playing mainly on Unibet NL400 where I had more then 5bb wr + great RB.
I was down on Online mtts close to 20k according to sharkscope in less then 500 mtts. but didn't had all action in 500+ BI

Played about 15 live mtts last year( EPT Monaco, Barcelona Prague, and maybe 1-2 local events) ended up around BE due deep run in Prague main where I busted 30. for 23k€ while 1M was on top

Plan for this year is to play more more on stars, NL500 and I'll probably start playing 1k soon, I've played NL1k small sample but not on stars where competition is much weaker, so not sure I'm ready for 1k stars regs yet, but will give it a shot.

I'll set up some goals for 2020.

Poker:
150k profit for myself, (I'm backed for live events, and some online events)
Everything below 80k I would consider as fail.

Study more, last year I've worked probably more then all previous years together, but if I'm planing to beat NL1k on stars need to work more.

Play around 40-50k hands per month, with off table work, few live events, and family stuff I think that's really decent volume.

Health: Lose some weight, currently have 102kg on 189cm,
Last year I hired personal coach worked with him from April-June lost 5-6kg from 104 to 98, but when summer came stopped working and gained back kg.
I'll hire him again, and plan is to reach 90kg till summer.

I might add some more goals later.

Going to prepare for MTT grind today. Gl everyone at the tables.

Sunday and Monday mtt grind went as usual, spending bit more then 7k on buy ins and cashed for 3,7k total.

Although MTTs are much softer then cash games it's really hard grind, on Sunday I started about 3:30pm with some hh review, and finished around 4am, yesterday I started 5pm and after busting tournaments around 1 am played cash and done hh review after it till 5am.

It's always like that when mtt series comes, I start really optimistic, expecting good results and after few days I get really exhausted, cursing myself why did I even started to play series.

This month played around 2,5k hands on ps and won 2,5k, glad that I'm running good there

Cool thread! What’s your mtt to cash grind schedule? Do you play weekly high rollers?

Tnx.

When there is no series I almost don't play mtts, last year I played few sundays, usually if it is some big gtd event, but after winter series I'm not planing to play mtts till scoops.

I'm sure I would be loosing player in those high rollers.
I've played only 18 1k+ buy in on PS loosing 16k but I've qualified for 5k wcoop main.

I should add another 2 1k that I fired today.

First one was costly miss click, at 7 pm came from break and didn't noticed PS tab was on MTT sats instead of events so I late regged 1k and 109 satelites for 10k highroller and 1k Super Tuesday with 12bb

Stars gave me hope about cool story with quick double up on 1k satelite but 10 minutes later I busted.

Another bad day at the tables with those 2 missclicks spent 4,5k$ on buy ins and cashed for only 630$

I'm not running good, but also I'm calling too wide, and nobody is bluffing.

Goodluck!

I'm wondering like Shar1uz above me. Why would you move away from profitable cashgames, to grind MTTs? Especially with having a family.

I used to play MTTs, but now that I have kids I can't imagine ever seriously grinding those again. It just consumes so much of your time and energy.

I've been coached by ja.sam.gale, so to gain max ev need to play on site with hud, to fix leaks, and stars seems like best choice cause there is not much NL1k trafic on other sites which is my next goal

Also before I never played much on stars, and when I was playing I didn't felt competent for nl200 although I was making money on other sites.
Even last year while I had great results on Unibet when I started adding stars again those games were much different and I didn't started well, now when I started to game select, and adjusted I feel more confident.

Ty

I play MTTs only during SCOOPs and WCOOPs, and now added winter series, It's huge variance but I think I have big edge, and hoping for a big score.

Yeah it's really time consuming, and I feel so exhausted, took day off today, will work offtable and play cash later if I'll feel ok.

Here is my graph for stars, 0-39k hands is hands played from 2015- till mid 2019. After is period when I started working with ja.sam.gale

Here are some other graphs that I have:
January-mid Feb 2019. on Poker King asia

Rake is not included, and Jackpots wins are also missing. Actual win was about 30k€

In December 2018. stopped playing on poker master where I didn't had loosing month from Aug 2017 til Oct 2018. In November I lost around 8k, December started with 15k profit just to lose all that in 3-4 days, before I was doing good job finding at least somewheat clean games, and spotting colluders.
Heard about PK, and that there is no colluding and insta fell in love, games were best ever.
Had few horses there and they all had great results, unfortunately PK adventure didn't lasted long, they banned us in March and held my funds till August when I played 10k hands on webcam to prove I was not using rta.

This is non stars 2019.
Croatian site, ipoker, winamax, stars.es

it's around 11k€

On Thursday was too tired for another long MTT session, so rested bit more then played first session on Unibet this year.
During 2hours changed around 12-13 tables on NL400 don't think there was single big fish, despite that, and 6% rake those games are much easier then NL500 on stars.

Today played another MTT session and had first winning day during series.

Spent 1,7k on buy ins and cashed for 4,3k. Finished 6th for 3,5k€ on winamax 100€ Monster stack.

I'm not completely leaving Unibet, will for sure play there decent amount.
Even with decent wr on PS it will be hard to match my Unibet hourly.

I already mentioned that I'm coached by ja.sam.gale and to gain max ev from him need to play on sites with hud. Stars are best option to play NL500 and NL1k, and will for sure add 888, and ipoker,

Ty. Do we know each other?

After great run yesterday, Sunday was not nice to me, spent 10k on buy ins and cashed only for 800$.

But it ain't over, have 100BBs for day 2 of winamax 1k Highroller 52 left.

Few important hands from 1k win.

After this hand I was whining to friends how every day same **** happens

Today he quoted me that message

yeah the Td5d hand where the streamer made a thin shove with A4 no blocker was interesting. i think because of icm you can't defend the shove enough for it to warrant the thin value, but idk i'm just a cash man.

Coach pointed me later that there was no reason to blockbet river.
Regarding shove, not sure really hard for me to call trips, but given my sizing his hand is almost always nuts, and if I make call sometimes he needs to shove.

Just finished 1k Highroller on winamax, played really well until I made icm punt 6 left, and busted soon after for 14k€.

It was vs really agro guy on 600 hands sample, but still very bad shove on flop.

MTT series is over for me, and most likely I'll play less then 20 online mtts till SCOOPs.

Series in numbers:
Events played( reentry not included): 156
Total BI(reentry included): 35k$
Total cashed: 97k$
Profit: 62k$

I was backed for 500+ BI, and need to finish those numbers but I guess my share is approx 30k€.

PS stats from Jan 2019. AVG BI 180$, it's a small sample but I think that my real wr is even higher now.

Didn't wrote anything last week, without mtts and with shameful volume on cash tables didn't had much to write.

Looks like I was more exhausted then I thought so, last few day my throat is killing me, and my sleep schedule is not good, getting to bed after 4 am, and not having good sleep when kids woke up(7:30-8am). result is that even if I sleep till 12 am or 1pm I'm still tired, and have feeling that I could sleep few more hours.

Decided to go to bed around 3am, and wife will take younger boy with her when she wakes up. He always wake 5 minutes after she leave, so this way at least he is not going to wake me.

Regarding grind played less then 10k hands this month, after mtt grind still didn't returned to full grind mode, also playing 3-4 sites is much harder then I thought.
Before I used to play only 1 site, and now all those w list, closing and opening new tables, takes a lot of energy and focus, but I guess I'll get used to it.

Month to date graph:

Hi all, after long time I'm in period where things doesn't go as planned, but I'm confident I'll turn it around, as I did many times so far.

Last year in late Feb after having flying start on PKA/PKC and winning around 30k€ in 60k hands, I was so optimistic about future, I was railing 25/50/100 CNY tables and that also looked soft, so I asked ja.sam.gale if he wants to work with me, and maybe stake me for those limits. He was not interested in staking, but we agreed for a CFP.
In my mind I already made more then 100k in next few months, but as it usually goes when you make big plans, beginning of the March brought lots of bans on PKC, many accounts were banned and money frozen. At the start I was not worried, actually I was happy that they don't want colluders and bots on their site, and I decided to go back on Unibet while that is resolved.

After more then a month, and decent amount of accs unfrozen, my agent told me that my and accs of my horses, are bot accs and money is gone.

Had bit more then 20k€ on site, next 2 months were rough, had feeling that I'm playing much better but instead of planned 30k-ish months March and April ended BE, when I add 20k that I already wrote off because communication with PK support was almost nonexistent , I was in situation that last 6 months I didn't made any money, and spent around 16-17k for life expanses. Luckily I was bankroll nit, and had life roll/savings separated from poker roll, so I was still comfortable, but thought like what if this period last another 6 months started going over my head.

Fortunately bad run on Unibet stopped in June, PKA refunded me money after playing 10k hands on webcam, and I made more then 80k$ by the end of the year.

January so far:
I'm not happy how I played, stationed few times where I shouldn't have, stack offed too light in few spots, and results are 6k down in 9k hands.

Unibet BE after 7k hands.

Unibet just a bad run, games are so much softer, even though there is often no fish at any table, those regs are way behind stars regs, and when you have a fish that table is just great.

Cheers

Tomorrow I'm going to Perla casino, got 350€ ticket around 2 years ago, and this event(500k GTD) is the last one where I can use it. There are always good 2/5 sometimes 5/10 games so I'll play those as well.

Short break from online is coming in good time, looking only cash games this month was probably worst ever with around 10k down.
Don't think I played that bad, for sure didn't play my A-game, but run overall was quite bad, they simply had top of their range too often. I could for sure save few BI with more folding.

I'm satisfied with my off table work, but there is still lot of learning to do.

January on tracked sites: -6,6k$

Unibet: -3,5k€ in 12,5k hands

Total cash: -10,5k$
Total MTTs : aprox +33k$ after spliting profit with backers

I've finally made the decision and for the first time I'll go to Vegas, although I'm looking forward to wsop, it was hard to make that decision and leave my wife with small kids for almost 2 months

Yesterday I went on mini trip with my family but returned on time today to play some mtts. Didn't registered much and ended around BE.

Looks like I've finally fixed the problem with PT4(HUD was not appearing on some tables), cause of that played only 1,5k hands on ps/888/winamax and lost 2k$

while I was solving HUD problems played around 6k hands on Unibet and lost 2,4k€.

Not sure what should I do, games on Unibet are much softer, and there is enough action, but I want to play on sites with HUD to improve more, and don't feel that it is good to mix daily different pools, also I need to start with gym asap.

Month so far:
MTTs: -2k$
Cash: -4,6k$
Live cash: +1,1k$

H5: 888 Reg, didn't have info on him, played few hands, but he managed to stack me twice.
Stupid sizing from him, since he couldn't have info on me I was quite sure he has KQ/AQ almost always so went for thin shove.

again imo stupid sizing from him, vs that size with info from the previous hand I wouldn't push weaker flushes, but went out perfectly for him.
