I'm 33 years old and I've been playing poker since 2003. Back in 2009 I ran up a decent bankroll of 45k playing 200NL on Absolute (RIP) but spent all the money and never worked on my game. From about 2011-2017 I never really studied poker. I'd just hop on, deposit, lose and then blame it on bad luck. The game definitely had passed me by.
Fast forward to July 2018, I quit my slave labor job and cashed out a bunch of crypto currency to give poker another try. I played 1/2NL live for a few weeks and got absolutely destroyed to the tune of about 2k, I was so pissed and almost admitted defeat until I decided to give online another try. I decided to buy a HUD and take it seriously, I deposited $200 bucks on Betonline and played 22k hands of slightly losing poker at 10NL.
I quit that's it, I'm a loser destined to be working minimum wage.
**** that. I moved to America's Card Room (WPN) to play 10NL. I signed up for rakeback (27%) and got my deposit bonus and was determined to win at microstakes. ACR is known for tight/nitty games so I figured if I can beat these games I can beat any games.
Now it's the beginning of last month (August 2018) and I've been dabbling in PokerSnowie and going through Upswings Beyond Core strategy. I cut my tables down to 2 ****in tables to make sure I focus on every spot I can think of. I customize my HUD to the statistics I think are important and with the determination of Achilles I swear I am beating these god damn microstakes.
Today is September 22, 2018. I know variance is insane, but I might be able to say I am a microstakes winner at 10NL on ACR. I still suck at poker don't get me wrong. And eventually I do want to play at the highest stakes, but one limit at a time.
This thread will be a chronicling of my attempt to become a world class player. Here's a current win rate and a few hands from today that may have been good or bad. See you guys soon.

If your goal is to make money, switch to Global or Bovada. Proving to yourself that you can beat a certain site/game isn't working on your actual goal.

True. How do HUDs work with Anonymous sites like Bovada? I should give them a try since I think they have more traffic than ACR
ACR micro cash is all bots man, try Bovada and def play live 200nl if youre rolled
Keep your eye out for cash game streamers, there are a few hidden gems out there that give out crazy value if you are able to catch them streaming. Or even sub to 1 or 2 channels for $5 and watch all their archived videos. Thats probably how I made my biggest gains from micro to low/midstakes

Sorry guys I've been slacking on the updates. It was my girlfriends bday "weekend" so I've been busy with that but I'm back to the grind now. I wanted to at least get 10k+ hands in before posting.
Main differences on ACR between 10NL and 25NL
1) People actually 5bet bluff here
2) I'm playing way more 3bet pots OOP
3) Regs are slightly better
So my WR is around what it was at 10NL - thing is I think I'm running bad haha.

Sorry for the lack of updates: I've been busy studying and getting coaching:
Since my last post over 2 months ago I've done the following:
Played over 100k hands
Joined BTS for coaching for profits
Realized I suck at poker
Fixed some leaks:
I was at 10NL 100k hands ago and I am still here, but there is hope on the horizon. I currently play on WPN and I talked with my coaches and they are going to let me play on Ignition.
So I am clearing my $50 bonus on WPN (probably 3k more hands til it clears) and then I'm out!
Here are the hands since I wiped my DB on Nov 15th:
Last 44k hands at 10NL WPN (i have so many leaks but at least i won) running 9BIs below AI EV:
last 12k hands at Ignition 5zoom pool: running 6BI above AI EV
I have definitely improved a lot in the past 2 months but I know I need to get a lot better to compete at higher stakes. Here are the coolest hands of the last 50k+

You have heart! Your HH were always the most interesting ones in the micro stakes part of the forum. Always enjoyed reading them.
But only heart isn't enough: gotta have discipline and mental game, always focus in those and you will realize your full potential!
From what I saw in your threads, you think owning people at poker has always to do with being more on the aggressive side of things, remember that you can own people by playing pots passively and losing the mininum/inducing bluffs too!

Gl!
Good point Rapidesh! I’m a little scared to move up to 25NL since last time I did I got smacked back down to 10NL. Here goes nothing!
Also very slightly positive Red Line (first time I've ever had that)!
25NL has been going pretty well (I'm running 6BI above EV) but I still need to work a lot on my game and stop bluffing so much. Overall though I'm happy with my results.
I still want to get my WWSF up >50 (it's around 48 right now). I need to focus on winning smaller pots. I've been attacking check backs a lot and it has worked out reasonably well.
I have to pay my coaches so I won't be moving up to 50NL anytime soon, probably play at least another 25k hands or so at this limit.
This hand was scary
Q high boss move
