Well I think it's about time I do something like this. The overall goal of this thread is to keep me accountable and working towards my goals.

About me: 30 year old male, single, office job, overweight.

Goals for this thread
: Follow and join along for the ride while we ride up the stakes, get into shape, and hopefully live the poker dream (if there even is one anymore). So many people say poker is dead, I say let's play some PLO and get the cards in the air.

Starting roll: $100
(I can afford to start slightly higher/play with more, but in the end a BB is a BB and if you're out here trying to learn then you may as well play at a level where it won't end your bankroll or make life difficult.)

I will be playing PLO cash games and the odd Omaha tournament. It is where I'm most comfortable and feel like I can develop an edge.

I will be taking an aggressive approach to my bankroll management to try and move up stakes at a faster pace, but there will be rules/restrictions that I will place on myself.

I will move up when I have 20 BI for the next limit. If my roll drops to 15 BI for that limit I will move back down to the previous limit. (ex. $200 I will move up to PLO10, if I lose down to $150 I will move back down to PLO5 to grind it up.) For tournaments, I will only play in tournaments where the buy-in is approximately 1% of my total bankroll.

Long term goals for 2019:
[ ] 100,000 hands
[ ] lose 50 pounds of bodyweight (I've been struggling with being overweight for the last 2 years, need more exercise and diet discipline)
[ ] make my way up to PLO100
[ ] complete all training materials with note taking on Run it Once for PLO games
[ ] update this thread twice a week with hand histories and graphs

Hopefully I can be somewhat entertaining and invoke some decent strategy discussion as well. Cheers!
