Week 2 UPDATE!

I may not have time to update during the weekend due to academic work so Im doing this early. A couple sessions ago I went through a decent number of big pots crashing into villains' top ranges. Tilted quite a bit as the blow was quite severe - diminishing all of the profits plus a bit more, but kept my head in and was able to grind it back out. Quite funny as I ran like god during the very next session for around 17ish BIs, effectively covering up the loss like it never happened (but we all know its a little illusion to convince ourselves we are that good when we are not ).

Got all volumes of Balugawhale's Easy Game and somehow fixing a leak little by little : calling often due to bs reasons like "pot odds" even with pure junk when you can just fold it out especially oop.

Hands: 7,144
Profit: $+39.80

Week 3 UPDATE!

Been tilting a LOT lately. basically summed up in the graph that follows. so following my brm, im moving down to the regular 2nl tables having still around more than $50.

midterms coming up so I will be away from the tables for awhile and review my database once I'm done with exams.

Till next update

Hands: 19,174
Profit: $-27.95

Week 4 Update!

After that last series of tilt episodes for last week, I moved down to the regular tables and rebuilt for around 5-6k hands. As my bankroll started climbing up again, I took shots at the deep ante tables and currently back on playing them regularly. More or less I'm about slightly above BE for the month, not too much to think about though

Although midterms are done, projects arent yet so I may have reduced volume in the following weeks.

Till next update

Hands: 27,740
Profit: $+25.35

Month 1 , Week 5 Update:

So far I've been facing a huge downer due to massively bad play coupled with tilt which should be evident on this

moving back down to the reg tables again but before I'll play again I'll have to deal with stuff off the tables and reviewing my hands and mental game.

Till next update!

Hands: 34,760
Profit: -$30.84

Week 7 Update:

Finally dug myself out of the hole and starting to rack up a little profit thanks to TMGoP and the guys at my stable, really cool guys . Decided to add EV to the stats just so I can see how hot or badly i am running, though so far so good with around $20 above EV. as for the promised hands, i will just have to pick out the most interesting ones based on coaching reviews or some hands im interested to get more opinions on - not necessarily stating that the initial review is bad just so you guys know, ok?

Hands: 54,871
Profit: $11.92
EV: $-12.21

Week 8 Update:

Finally moved to 5nl instead of going 2nl deep-antes(since I kind of suck playing deep) just a little while back and I got myself into a little heater and finally on my way to 10nl (finally? we'll see). Aggression is expectedly more so its much much tougher on the preflop game. Will log more hands at 5nl to around 25-30k-ish then check if i can already move up after..

Hands: 74,758
Profit: $135.58
EV: $72.00

Till next update!

Month 2, Week 9 Update:

After a grueling time at 5nl with a dismal winrate, i took shots at 10nl and currently grinding on it regularly now. So I will be here awhile, take shots maybe by 600+ at 25nl? who knows. I dont know if I could get & stay @ gold status at this level but I think its not entirely impossible, since vip calc link is broken..

At this point i'll just remove the hand count since its pretty much irrelevant and can just be seen on the screenie, although the profit part would still be posted for emphasis

Profit: $233.79
EV: $118.11

Week 10 Update:

Tilting more frequently recently though it is at a much lesser degree, but still : ITS BAD. i talked about it with my coach, so even though brm enthusiasts may cringe at the thought, I will be taking shots at 25nl with at least $700 in the roll as protection for my tendencies though just in case, although best that we at least reduce it by that time. Getting there would be still quite a climb as I have to reevaluate my tilt profile.

Anyway, I'm also looking into the possibility of grinding out fpps seriously but not quite at a professional level starting next year. Going for SN is still out of the question since I'm not in the position to do. Going for platinum is probably doable once I hit 25nl which should be in give/take 3 months, but more of hitting 25nl rather than grinding for platinum status.
If ever I start at platinum by 2016 if im still playing by then, then I'd grind (still 4-6 tables, mostly 4), then I'm grinding for the sole purpose of FPPs to buyin into the 235fpp storm 6-max hypers which is a better deal than the cash rebate below SN assuming a 30% winrate for most decent players.

Profit: $198.13

Till next update!

It's been awhile, been busy with stuff at univ. As for poker, ill try to sum it all up in as few points as possible:
- im currently at 10nl, approximately 100k+ hands in for the level. Why so much? Though I've managed to keep my tilt to a minimum, there are rare times I blow up. Not to dwell too much about it, a good point I've managed to keep is my strict BRM which shielded me from the effects of tilt. I'm easily rolled for 25nl but until I master 10nl at a decent rate like at least 2bb/100 I will keep playing as I am in no hurry to move up.

- the entirety of 2015 would be mastering the basics, hoping that 25nl(50nl maybe, but I wouldn't count on it) would be my core stake by next year. As I will be starting my last year of univ in 2 weeks, poker will obviously not my primary priority. I am planning to do more off-table learning in lieu of me having less time on the tables - videos, threads, etc.

Best of luck to me and other grinders out there!

thanks. i only play 6-max reg tables, 2-4 tables at most as that is the max my attention can allow atm.

limpers? raise the crap out of them as a default and go from there

Hey man I play deep ante and thoroughly enjoy it, I would imagine it would be a hugely +EV move as it makes you a better player, deeper level of thinking and you can more $$ in good.

Have been considering it as I've played 2nl deep ante over a small sample and sucked at it during that time. Until I get a good feel for crushing the reg tables over a considerable wr, I will stick to it in the meantime. Will update thread once it happens

Backstory: after a few failed attempts at trying to grind thru the stakes (due to a combination of degenerative behavior at poker and was mostly busy with a job as a tech guy at a state university. Contract was not renewed due to reasons I wasn't informed), I'm going to give it another go. Still have my roll intact from before, it's just I moved to another non-stars site. I came across evthealien's thread (again) and his youtube channel, which gave me enough motivation to play again.

POKER GOALS:
I exactly have $68.52 which is plenty for 2nl. The plan is to grind 10k hands and evaluate roll, minimum of 20BI until 10nl. At least a hand review/week

HEALTH GOALS:
Started running again for a 5k distance w/ a few stops. Once I'm able to run the whole distance with a max of 2 stop then I increase by 1k till I peak at 10k. Actually planning to do the One-Punch man routine which is amusing to me at least.

Till next update
