Good day all!

I have been debating whether to do one of these threads for quite some time. My main reason for such deliberation has been that i don't want to start a thread and then have it end up on page 100x due to my natural tendency to be the laziest human on earth.

I have bitten the bullet however and have decided to start one. I have probably invested the most amount of time into poker since ~ October 2017 than i have done over a few years. I am 25 years old, i have a pretty busy career and a sometimes hectic lifestyle however i still try and play/learn a few hours a night.

The goal is simple and it will consist of me attempting to constantly and consistently improve my game. My game has ranged from 10nl to 50nl back down to 10nl and so on over the past few months. I was completely b**med at 50nl which led to me looking for a stake. So here i find myself back at 10nl where i seem (i hope) to be competing and beating consistently.

I will leave the challenge part to the poker gods as it might put to much pressure on me; however monetary gain is probably less important to me than skill gain at this moment in time.

Anyway thanks for reading my novel and feel free to flame/motivate/discuss etc within.

My 10nl month in March. I had a two week hiatus due to working commitments so my volume was pretty abysmal. I generally 2-3 table and i like to keep my sessions between 1-2 hours at a time due to concentration issues.

Praise the gods!

First Session

10nl - 2 Tables/556 hands/+$38

Most of the profit came from one player across the two tables. I had the most amount of history with villain and he definitely portrays a wild image with the tendency to 3bet super wide. I managed to exploit this a few times taking down small pots here and there. My biggest pot against him was as follows:

Villain is 30/27 with a 14% 3 bet over 200 hands.

Pre flop - Usually i am folding the 3bet from the SB with J10s however once the initial raise folds, and against this type of opponent, i call intending to take it down on the flop. As mentioned his 3betting range has been somewhat dubious in the past and i have notice he likes to isolate a lot of the time.

Flop - Villain has a cbet of 100% so with any other holding that the J10 i am raising expecting him to fold a high majority of this time.

The rest of the hand is kinda fun!!

The following hand is just an example of how i can't seem to get my head around playing AQ OOP when 3bet. I would be interested to see what peoples thoughts are:

The villain in this hand was 33/33 3bet of 100 over 10 hands so although over a small sample i definitely didn't give him much credit for a hand here.

      Session Two

      10NL - 2 tables/320 hands/-24.48

A shorter session two didn't go as smoothly as the first. It was pretty up and down however was playing solidly for the most part. Lost two buyins late on with the following hands.

Q9s is probably at the bottom of my flatting range here however i tend to enjoy 3betting from a CO open as more often than not you'll find a fold.

This was just dreadful. Emotion no doubt had a part to play following the hand above and looking back villain had been 3betting like a Nun so there was no surprise he showed up with the bullets.

I'm surprised that i've managed to maintain the thread this long (haha). In all seriousness even if it turns into me talking to myself atleast i have accountability for my sessions and it also helps to reflect.
