I feel like there's a lot of stuff i wanna do every day but days seem to go by and i haven't achieved everything i wanted to.
This is really the main thing to focus on imo. It can be tough to keep up over time when **** happens but going to bed knowing you did everything you wanted to do is awesome. Keep up the good work!
The spreadsheet is a good idea. I keep a poker specific one and it is awesome for helping me identify behavioural patterns I wasn't aware of and has helped me improve in lots of areas.
Would be v kind of u if u tell ur "friend" teh general concept of pot odds ^^
kind rgds from teh TimStone
lol. tbf to him, he does lose here 99% of the time!

Yeh, i've done it once before but just for poker and i found it super helpful. Hopefully using other aspects will be as beneficial to me

So today was a quality day, both at the tables and off. We won football 2-1, the weather was amazing so i had a lot of chilling in the sun and playing aerobie with the guys.
Ran really well at the tables
vs uk reg. so so satisfying because we have a bit of history. Mainly him berating me
and bluffing at 400 6m. Would actually like some thoughts on this. Reg is relatively unknown but from what i've seen barrels a decent amount, isn't on the tight side and wins:
I could have eaten another meal, but with the 2nd shake being a mass gainer i physically couldn't do it. Slept pretty badly last night for no reason and really got into the mental game of poker. Felt i played well which was definitely helped by running good and not playing for too long.
Overall pleased that i achieved nearly everything i was hoping to and long may it continue!
If anyone is interested in a quality podcast about 'why our brain is sabotaging us' then listen to the link below. I strongly recommend it!
77 hand is prob fine. Not sure you need to jam over river cbet though, seems kinda close. I also think villain can have more nutted hands than us which may make jamming worse.
The research is actually pretty mixed on the best way to sleep. I think you will find that you can pretty much defend about anyway to actually sleep.
Pretty sure I'm right. Just like I'm right about the ideal diet being leftover pizza for lunch after waking up a little after midday, a curry about 7pm and then a kebab about 2am.
I have to be up by 6 everyday, 7 at the latest. I can now manage it without an alarm but it means I struggle to adjust on weekends and holidays as I'm incapable of having a lie in.
I experienced this, and the solution is to wake up at 6 every day. You can always just lie there on weekends. I go to the gym sat/sun morning for this reason (also because of time)
I like getting up so early, even on weekends. It's more a problem for the GF and anyone else who happens to be in my flat when I wake up hyper as usual. I usually fire up a poker session then go for a pub lunch.
9 hours sleep is ideal. The best way to sleep is go to bed, not set alarm and wake up when you don't want to sleep any more.
I do set an alarm but am always stirring before it goes off

Yeh i think jamming river was a little overkill but do tend to agree with blakkman below that i think i have better hands to be bluffing with. Can just fold 77 otr i think.

Yeh i've read so so many different things on sleep varying from health problems if you sleep too much right through to some people needing 6 hours and others need 10 a night. Still somewhat of a mystery i think.

I'm trying not to use other aids such as audio while meditating. Trying to just sit with myself which tbh can be real difficult at times. It's crazy how mental our brains are and how much stimulation we need to not be bored.

Really happy to see everyone enjoying the ratings thing and glad that it's sparked some discussion!
Today was really productive again which felt great. Managed to hit the gym hard, eat all my meals + shakes and also took a decent amount of notes on the mental game of poker. I learnt something interesting about the 'inch worm' technique which i feel i can really apply to my play both on and away from the tables. The only thing i could work on from today was that i had a couple whales and it prevented me from quitting. I grinded way too long and waaaay too many tables (was 24 tabling with 6max for a while). My brain feels pretty fried now.
