Nice regrind mate. Have fun in Porto, we were there in the summer. If you want to continue the chocolate making trend, then there's a place in the city centre called Equador? I think where we did it.

The crystal palace gardens were really nice too. Although given that it'll be a lot colder there now (I assume...) then it'll be a different vibe.

yoom, thanks mate! Good to see you back around the 2p2 streets <3 I steered clear of more chocolate courses this trip haha. Also didn't get a chance to go to these gardens - just didn't have enough time!

Had a wicked weekend in Porto. Just did all the normal sightseeing, meals and cafes. It's a super beautiful city. Here are a few pics

Came back to the tables and got dealt the absolute pain for 2500 hands. Dug unbelievably deep and made a comeback. I got stacked at 4 tables at the same time which was a first too.

In other news, team<3 are planning a trip for Gazzy's birthday. Seems like Amsterdam is on the cards again haha.

Plan is to grind and study consistently for the rest of the week.

Oh, one other thing. I'm aware that my blog is legit about to hit a million views which is ****ing sick. I'm gunna do some kinda give away over on my instagram but not sure exactly what yet! Any ideas please??

There are some trash and flawed stat videos that have come out recently which tell you that regs overfold certain spots.

I'm convinced a lot of this nonsense is idiots trying to use that in a complete vacuum.

I'm curious why can't K6s hand villain have AA,AK,KQ and 88 quads combo for value on the river ?

T3 - bluff seems allright as a low frequency one under certain assumptions.

KQ - tough one on the river against some reg.

Are you talking about nick howard? Pretty sure he advocates stabbing flop or turn lol. Maybe his strats changed, since I watched some old videos where he talked about that.

I don't think T3s bluff is ever good, not because of the hand itself, sure, villain should have some bluffs in this spot because he will have value too, but that's the kind if spot where a human won't be capable of bluffing at the right frequency ever:

1- villain has A LOT of bluff candidates
2- villain doesn't know his range very well in that spot (just think about the times you simmed b vs b and you looked at what was checking twice and bluff raising river lol).
3- even with RNG, it's very hard to bluff with a correct frequency, villain will either overbluff like crazy or underbluff (way more likely to overbluff if he is ever bluffing).

So I think that's a spot where it's better to just not have bluffs, it's better to underbluff than to risk overbluffing for 70-95%, that spot is rare and nobody will realize that you have 0 bluffs. Also most people are more likely to think you're FOS anyway.

yeah gotta disagree with the K6s, think villain could value bet as low as K9s for this sizing, with that said its still a pretty easy call

In theory i tend to agree, however, I just don't see regs using this sizing scheme with very good hands. Also this villain doesn't tend to deviate much from a relatively ABC flop cbetting strategy. I'd just expect him to use 1/3 with good hands and do some weird big sizing with hands that just want folds. I know that sounds like pretty rubbish reasoning but I think it's fair.

I think i could 3b river, and i certainly would with K9, but i guess at the time i didn't feel like i'd capture any extra EV in raising again. In hindsight maybe 3b is our superior option though. Thanks!

I want the coaching give away!

Nice call with AK. I definitely do that too much and I'm sure it costs me money. Very nice feeling when you do see the bluff though!

IG popped off over night and i'll be doing the give away with my end of week update (sunday)

Tomorrow i've been roped into playing an 11 aside Cup game for none other than GazzyB. He basically begged for me to play 1 time and i agreed, but what he didn't mention was the team we're playing are 4 leagues above us. So yeah, I've voluntarily agreed to take a fisting! Cheers mate

After that we got katzenjammers, a yearly festive german beer festival that our entire extended friendship group go to. Likely won't play again till Monday but will be sure to do a weekly review before then.

gl!
