Thanks mate! I'm a little unsure what you mean. But if i say it's a cooler but it doesnt look like a cooler, then it's vs a fish... and if it's a bad beat, then it's a bad beat?! haha sorry i dont really understand!

Rubbish day yesterday.

This was vs a very very aggro reg. I think it's pretty borderline tbh. He has super high wwsf and not very high w@sd which made me lean toward a call more. I just feel that i have some kx but waaaay more draws and Jx that i would be over folding AJ here if i always folded. I don't really have 66 given his preflop sizing too. Perhaps calling 2 and folding river would be a better strategy? Would be interested to hear peoples thoughts though.

This hand is certainly on some level spew but i do somewhat stand by my play. What i don't stand by is doing it at 600nl, my highest limit as it's just waaaay too high variance. Had the blockers

Think what ILT was getting at is that you said it was a 'bad beat' with nfd and one over when you got in A6hh ha!

You guys have a power league team right? Made a team with my uni house last year, such good fun, but we got put in league 3 out of 4 so was pretty ridiculously soft, won all games in our league and one game 30-4 haha.

ahhh i seeeee. Well technically it is a micro bad beat but yeh i see his point. It's not power league actually. It's 6 aside with hockey sized goals, no over head height rule, corners and throw ins are allowed too. It's so so much fun. Haven't played power league for a while, but i absolutely love goalkeeping in those goals. hahaha sick! that's a ridiculous scoreline. Where abouts are you at now, you should start a new team

Ah sweet, think choose between 6 aside and powerleague but went for power because we figured throw ins would slow the pace down a bit? which do you think is better? we'll probs play one or the other alongside 11 a side next year.
Got one more year at Cardiff but home atm and then off to New Zealand for the summer, not sure they like soccer over there

Yeh the pace is a lot faster in power league, but it's sooo knackering for the guys out on pitch! haha i'm sure you'll be having way too much of a sick time in NZ to be playing football. Do some of that jumping out of a plane stuff

Still having a bit of a rough month. Can't seem to hold onto profit in a session and 600nl in general is just a very high limit that it's controlling the swings. Still got a positive winrate for the month too!

Getting superrrr crushed every day at the moment. Still feel i'm playing good which is fine. Stuck a quite a lot for the month now ~4500, ev at 0. Gunna stick it out for a bit longer but if i drop another couple k then i'll take 600 out the filter. Even though im barely losing at 600, the variance there is a lot.

Got AK v AA 5 times yesterday which was so fkn sick too and once again, no interesting hands. Just standard flips and coolers, fish making top pair vs my 2nd pairs etc. I've got 1 hand which i could quite literally punch the guy for playing the flop this bad. Guess he knew i had AA

Isnt your hand too strong to be turning into a bluff with AT otf? do you ever x back turn and call brick rivers?

OP will know the answer to this better than me but I suspect it's because the reg is almost never betting this flop texture OOP without a made hand or some sort of hand with a lot of equity, ie KQo. Folding out a hands like AK/AQ/KQ or Jx or diamond draws is a really good result.

When villain calls the raise his range is capped and when all the draws brick it's a great spot to fire turn and river as it puts a ton of pressure on hands like Jx.

I'd agree his range is prob capped although I think KK/AA is still pretty strong on this board bc I don't think bens flatting 89s pre and maybe not even 77 given positions.

So I'm fairly happy calling off brick run outs in Villains shoes, I think bens got too many bluffs by river. He's better than me though so idk maybe bens not expected to follow through on river making it a good one to bluff at.

Edit: fml just noticed he already said that

Thanks for the response and feedback guys. Yes, the fun begins pretty much stated my thought process and also whydididothat, I agree I've got too many bluffs here. I've actually reviewed the hand in more depth with another guy and he kinda felt that AT is just about ok to bluff given total combos when we bluff:value. I still feel that firing 2 and taking our showdown might just be about the correct play though.

                    ---

Had the past couple days off to watch the World Cup and take it easy with my gf. Been grinding so hard all month and felt a break was really in need.

Went to a really fun World Cup party at my mates house but of course the result was very very disappointing. I've still got a lot of faith that we can beat Uruguay and still be in with a great shot of getting through the group stages though.

The last session I played, I was stuck another ~1k but grinded for hourssss and actually got out of it. Even though I broke even, it felt like I'd won 3k! On my phone atm so will post some hands later. Still stuck a chunk for the month but hopefully last session will be the turning point.

Here are all the boys watching the World Cup!

Have been pretty busy with counselling and stuff so haven't played all that much but have made back some of my losses. Been taking a lot longer with each decision so as to make sure i'm making the correct play. Roughly 2k from my trough now, still a lot of work to do though. I cannot even describe how many times i've run into AA in the past week. It's been absolutely nuts, but i know all too well it's just variance.
