In other news i had my first client today. Was super nervous before the session but once it had begun i felt so comfortable and it felt really right. Can't say more than that due to confidentiality of course! Gym and weight gain still going good too. Just gotta continue to win now for the rest of the month.

KQ hand really sucks, seems like a good fold though. What was your thought process in AcQc hand? River especially.

Yeh the KQ was so gross, but as i said i can't see him ever having worse. In the AQ hand the guy was a big fish with high aggression frequency on the turn and river. Given the high agg i felt he would bet all his missed draws and certainly all his value. If i shove river i can only cooler him but by checking i can extract from his bluffs too. Also i had a hand with him earlier where he floated 2 streets with K high no draw and i check called a weak hand otr to win vs air. Although it's a different spot, it definitely indicates that he can have a ton of bluffs.

So i just had the worst session i've had for months. Havent been so bad beat since this time last year! Hopefully it will not continue this way...

Yeh man, not many flips at all really! Yeh swings are gross when you're on the wrong end but by this time last year i was like 50bi below ev so every cloud

Getting closer to b/e for the month which whilst i'm pleased i'm still super disappointed that i'm not winning as i definitely feel i should be easily beating the games i play in. (i'm sure a lot of regs would beg to differ though )

Good job! How many tables are you playing these days? I think I read a few posts back that you dropped the # of tables.

The AJ hand vs reg: ever consider checking back the flop? You never get 3 streets of value from worse, your afraid of virtually nothing and you allow villain to bluff turns/rivers and keep his range wide. Ya, you have TPTK in a 3bet pot but whats going to check call and give you 3 streets of value?

I disagree, people like to hero call a lot in 3bet pots

Yeh i did drop my tables. Was 24 tabling, and have done for years but down to around 16 at most nowadays. Similar to what day n night said, people do spaz out a lot in 3b pots, but in this exact spot i think checking back flop would be a really good idea. I certainly check back AA and KK here too so checking AJ would make sense too.

Yea, I wasn't advocating checking back TPTK as a general strategy, just on that particular flop texture we are virtual almost always way ahead and in a vacuum I don't see many regs, check calling 3 streets with a worse hand unless you have some history or a spazzy image.

Got loads of college work to do and busy all weekend with birthdays/going out. Prob back on the grind sunday evening. glgl

So the month is over, all college work is complete and have 3 weeks off to grind hard. Was super busy over the weekend with birthdays and family stuff. The bar we went out in on the saturday night was a place called Hootanannys in Brixton. They have 2 pool tables that are just in midst of the place with a winner stays on ladder. Won 4 games in a row, including beating smb (vid of black being potted!) Pretty pleased with the 2 cushion pot too.

Month was reallllly meh, but winrate was still alright so i can't complain too much. Just needed to get in more hands it seems.

Have an aim to take another shot at 400nl this month, but wanna get back into the swing of better volume and make a bit of profit first.

A few guys have asked me bout my new diet too, i'm still putting on weight, put on 6lbs in 6 weeks. Gunna post pics of some meals and then the calorie/carb/protein/fat breakdowns.
