keep killin it! do you need a special vid card to run 3 monitors? Do you find a 3 monitor set up much better than just 2?

No you don't I run my laptop projecting to two 28 inch monitors. If you get 4K monitors you may then need to upgrade cards depending on your computer spec

you can easily buy video cards that can run up to 12 inputs. My setup can do 3 but it was a just a matter of picking a better video card when it was built if I wanted more

I find my field of vision can focus on 1 and 3/4 of my 24" screens. The third screen is used to hold non essential stuff and load my table starting games. Works well for me.

cuz AT blocks T9s and T8s? seems like the effect of having Tx would be close to neutral cuz he prob opens <50% of T8s and might check turn sometimes w/both T8s and T9s...though I guess on this particular card he would barrel them high freq.

Most regs are going to open T8s 100% in MP. Also, vs this bet size, we need our blocker to block more than twice as many value combos as bluffs for it to be neutral.

I spoke to TDA about this earlier and he made a a good point about most Ax being better call downs than AT. I just made a judgement at the time which apparently was wrong!

Certainly think betting is good some of the time but with our nut 8 i think we can check sometimes too - i don't wanna always be betting all my 8x ott. It's not uncommon to see people at midstakes check a 9 or an overpair twice here so betting an 8 becomes less desirable.

Had a full on day of seeing clients and having 2 hours of group supervision. Also think i'm coming down with a cold which sucks big time. Managed to put a shortish grind in where i played B- game. Happy to not have lost money, but wow i played like a spew monkey today. Some of the pots will not be posted to save embarrassment!

Been feeling very ill the past 2 days. Had the nut worst sinus headache in my right temple, behind my right eye and above the right side of the jaw. Painkillers help a little but it's sooo frustrating. I grinded a bit yesterday and got totally smashed. Must be a mixture of not feeling my best and not concentrating cus of the pain. Been seeing clients and then reading MGOP and doing bits of off table work to compensate for the lack of play. I'd much rather not play until i'm a bit better than play and risk losing/getting annoyed with playing cus of the pain.

Think checkback is fine with KJ

JTo is soooo lame. I take it he was 3betting a pretty absurd frequency for you to defend. Any merit to just checking back pear? Doubt he folds better than KX. Maybe you can get exactly qq and remaining combos of jj to fold

haha, i think he means from the other guy. bluffing this hand does naaat seem the best

I strongly considered folding but just couldn't bring myself to taking the low variance route as oppose to the correct route.

                  ---

Still under the weather. Turns out i got sinusitis which is an inflammation of the sinuses which causes extreme headaches for up to 8 days... At day 5 now so hopefully it'll start to clear up soon. Don't wanna miss footie on wednesday.

Fired myself up for a session and ran really good and SNAP quit before i could lose it back. So great to book a win when feeling this crappy. Maybe the poker gods have taken pity on me!

not really sure what u re targetting on the river that calls and loses from a small blind call range. as played tho seems like not the worst call. just dont like the initial bet

and i do think bet flop is decent too songtaing.

Hey man, would love for you to take a minute to answer this:

What would you say is the most important concept to REALLY understand, to become a winning poker player these days?

                        Appreciate it. Best of luck

probably that there isnt a single concept that guarantees success but that it takes a ridic amount of work esp off the tables, a storong mental game and solid bankroll management among tons of other things to get there.

also dont try and start today

Hope that didn't sound demeaning. It's just that for most people considering going pro from scratch the environment currently is likely the third or forth best option thinking in terms of next couple years. It's def doable tho. Glgl
