A9/T9 in our range tho, Villains strong hand range would only be QQ. Maybe TT if he doesn't c-bet, so we block more of his ez calling range. Turning QT into a bluff over something like Q8s doesn't make much of a difference.

Nice comeback.

I also had a go at playing across multiple sites this month and can say the experience was well and truly awful.

Biggest problem is trying to get the table focus to behave so you dont have random tables popping up and causing miss clicks. I tried TN2 again but just got error msg after error msg - about my screen resolution being too high, the table size being too big and it was just spazzing out it in general. If I can just get one table to focus at a time I can sort out hotkeys myself using AHK.

Apart from hardly any FR running elsewhere, the setup on other sites is unbelievably bad. I can understand they might not provide hotkeys within the site setup to deter pro's. But the constant beeping sound fx drive you mad. The holecards are tiny, often I will be thinking I am HU on the flop and cbet, then realise there are 2 other guys behind me still in the hand. The crap table themes make it harder to see my HUD. I could go on but I'll leave it there.

Almost felt like hugging the screen when I was back on the Stars tables.

thanks pete. yeah it'll take some getting used to, but the other site i'm playing has really low traffic so i never have more than 2 games up fortunately!

thanks bud. Yeah as Brokenstars said, we don't really rep those nutted boats, but it makes sense to have a bluff combo here, and this hand pretty much makes up our nut bluff combo. It just means we limit his nutted betting hands otr.

Thanks dev and i can certainly relate to most of the things you've shared, particularly the fact that a click doesn't always register and you realise your action hasn't been made and have to do it again, whilst panicking you're about to time out. I haven't even considered TN2, just use stars helper for stars and then manually do everything on the other site myself. It's actually working out a lot better than i thought it would - probably because as i said above, i'm only playing a game or 2 max. Obv turn off the sounds! That's the very first thing i do, along with 4 colour deck and all dealer chat. Just take it slow - you didn't start playing online poker on 16 tables, you built up. Treat other sites the same imo.

Hope 2016 is going well for you too man!

Started off the day instantly stuck 1600, and hating life but again, grinded hard, got out of it, and then went on to smash my 2nd session.

I think hes just doing one of those plays vs any given player from time to time and then gets max value next 15 spots...

Extremely long grind today. My grind ethic is through the roof atm! Perhaps cus i'm either really stuck or crushing

Today was a tough one mentally - experiencing another 4k swing really put me to the test again. Something that i'm noticing more and more, perhaps because i haven't been reading/working with the mental game of poker for the past 3-4 months, is that i get into this weird snap call mode vs fish and regs. For example if i 3b a fish with A5s and cbet AKT, and they min raise, i'll just INSTANTLY snap the raise before checking any stats or giving it any thought. I'm also doing it vs regs when i get 4b, just not folding at all and not taking more than 1 second to act. It's certainly a form of tilt but unfortunately i have nothing to refer to right now, and in turn i'm getting frustrated with myself. If anyone has any thoughts or points of view on what i've shared then that would be great.

idk how many tables u avg, but I had lots of trouble w the same thing u are talking about when just playing too many tables. It's a good exercise to force yourself for a while taking like 5 seconds extra on every decision where we call/bet/raise (with openfolds pre being the exception), just to try and get into that habit and it will come naturally again over time I think. It's kinda obv but not necessarily the right solution for every one, but I'd try it. Also, might be good to cut down the amount of tables at least for some sessions, so we don't feel like there are always many decisions queuing up behind the current one.

I have that issue of auto snapping vs fish too. I am not sure if its an ego thing whereby I am not willing to fold to idiots. Or if its because I just see too many wacky moves from these guys and they show up with something trashy all too often.

I was pretty much always continuing even with just 2 overcards vs a fish flop min raise and then getting frustrated when the fish shows top pair weak kicker or 2 pair at showdown. I think each fish min raise needs to be given 3 or 4 secs analysis just to see how he plays instead of calling on autopilot.

I started taking notes (actual written) on these hands during session, where I would fill out some check marks, fold/call, win/lose, bbs won/lost, Hero hand strength when facing raise.

Looks as if I have learned to fold some hands now, at showdown I am winning and losing some. The hands I win the pot seems to be twice as big as those I lose.

I flat 4bets a lot as well. Think I picked that up from Matt Janda. Decent odds to call a lot of the time and at least we get more experience of playing 4bet pots. Prob need to look through HEM one rainy day and see how certain hands are doing in 4bet pots, but I have a ton of other leaks to be looked at first.

thanks for the advice, i took it and made sure i took time with as many decisions as possible. I let myself slip a few times but made sure i commented to myself and noticed that i had done it to take some responsibility.

yeah, i think this is probably the crux of it tbh. Prob a mix of playing too many tables and chatting on skype. Just time to take some responsibility for it and focus on playing well/quitting when i'm not at my best.

haha the 2 overcards example is exactly the kinda stuff that i'm talking about! It's not so much that flatting 4b's is good or bad, it's that i don't consider that i should check stats before making my decision. That's what annoys me the most about it, i don't give myself the chance to make an informed decision.

Won a 2.5k pot at 1k where reg opens UTG to 30, I call btn, fish sb calls, bb sqz to 130, utg folds, i rip 1250, fish folds and reg calls AQ. Got some of my EV back for the month too! Didn't put in huge volume cus i played snooker for about 4 hours which was so much fun.

hey, thanks! haha, well i love snooker and the house i'm currently staying has a 3/4 size snooker table - great for break building. I got pretty good at pool and now prefer snooker as it requires a whole different skill set and ofc great for mental game! I'm no where near good enough to make half decent breaks on a full size table though. Think my max on this smaller table is 48 which is still quite good but there's tons of room for improvement. Do you play? Did you watch any of the masters at ally pally last week?
