Had a strong level. Ended at 200k. Was up to 250k at one point.

Defend Qc9x co v bb. Flop JTss4c, check raise 5500 to 17500 he calls 7ccss, I bet 44400 with like 38 back. Taaaaaaank fold

Average stack is 140k with bb4k. My table is poor now, moved to a game with a lot of regs including pads who has chunks ok chips.

54 left with 30 paid.

235k with av at 205k. Won a flip 88 v AQ. Been bad beat twice with pairs vs 1 over.

37 left with 1 level left to play. I don't think we'll cash today but hopefully can abuse this kinda bubble period

So we managed to bluff it all off (bar 2bb) towards the end of the day.

I open KdJx in MP rec calls btn and reg calls bb, flop Q89dd, checks round, turn 5ddd, checks to me, I bet half, btn folds, bb calls, river 3, he checks and I jam for 1.5x pot. He calls fairly quickly with 63dd.

Back tomorrow with 2bb and a dream/nightmare!

Because its a really boring 2 card 30 hand/hour game and most recreationals do not get entertainment solely out of playing it. They get entertainment from sports/women/talk/antics and actually playing cards is just one small aspect of their Friday night outing in the card room. Alot of them sincerely dont realize how some of their antics could be bad, this is because they are obviously bad at cards and do not think...which is a good thing.

I've been playing live over 7 years and I've seen so many incredible games killed by rules nits its one of the few things that still tilts me in poker. Very good live players (there are probably less than 10 total, I've confirmed after thinking about it) get this and basically dont ever call the floor for anything vs recreationals.

Your situation is different as its a tournament and also a fairly big offense, so I'm not speaking to it directly, but to overall how I think we should go about handling rec players doing rec things.

Years ago it was not uncommon for real whales to be in games doing real whale things, like blind 20x straddles, blind all ins, etc. That doesnt really happen anymore, in large part because poker isn't fun anymore. I have seen many a good game killed by the floor getting called in spots where a great player with no ego would let it slide.

Again, this is speaking towards cash, and mostly just me rambling as a PSA. Its too late though, those games are long gone.

Good luck in the tourney.
you make many good points, and i remember talking about the last angle shoot with you. they're just lurking, waiting to get me with their sneak plays

As i mentioned last week, this week is going to be mainly dedicated to getting my three essays done. They're not due till the 13th december but the first 2 weekends of december i got uni 10-5 saturday and sunday... I wanna free up as much time as i can so i can play millions of hands and take full advantage of christmas games. Not to mention there'll be a ton of social events.

Updates will probably be scarce until i'm completed everything so gl this week!

sorry to hear man! it's a bit frustrating, but it doesn't have an impact on the way i play. I'm always much happier to run below ev cus i feel guilty when i run above

    Monthly Results

My quality of play dipped slightly this month due to a lot of other stuff on my mind - mainly university. This marks my third losing month of the year, which is to be expected. I'm confident that i still played a solid B+ game throughout though. The first 12k hands were quite incredible.

Here in Brazil we have an old saying "if you're bad, you'll play at the defense, but if you are really bad, you will become a goalkeeper" haha
