He is probably using my "F U" call strategy. I use it frequently to spew some money because now you have a great excuse to bluff off your money since you end up at the bottom of your range postflop!

ah really, that seems a shame. But cool that you're still in the mixer.

Plans are still around the same as before. Keep pokering part time until i finish studies and then use the money i've saved from poker to open a therapy private practice.

The interesting part of all this is that my $ expectation was pretty low, and i assumed i'd be earning less and less as time passed, which would force a natural end to my playing of poker, but i've actually increased my income. This obviously puts me in a weird spot of weighing up the benefits of playing more = having more money for the future:moving into a new field that offers a different life style.

It's all up in the air still and i'm gunna play it by ear till at least the end of my training (18 months)

Stronk volume and hands buddy, keep it up. Pretty interesting dilemma regarding real life vs poker. Is something you could do on a part time, or semi full-time basis, or are you throwing yourself into it 100% if you go down the therapy route?

Guess at the end of it, it should come down to what do you want to do/see providing more value in future life? It's going to be difficult to calculate the financial EV of both, as you're career earnings are probably going to be an expanding curve (maybe exponentially) where as poker is somewhat likely to be a declining curve.

yeah i can do it part time, but like any business start up, it'll consume a hell of a lot of time and money to get it off the ground. I honestly haven't decided what i'll do. Really depends the state of poker and the amount i'm earning by then.

Loads of unknowns still so i'll continue what i'm doing and play it by ear.

        thanks!

Haha maybe I was unclear, but that's actually what I was trying to say in a round about way. Because the money EV calc has too many unknowns, then go with what you want to do/think creates a better life.

Thread delivers. One of my favorites for sure. I also challenge myself trying to decide what's best between job/ playing poker. At this point there's no way I will make as much playing poker unless I went on an insane heater for months.
