Today was a relatively uneventful day. Had a couple amazing fish but couldn't get a rhythm going unfortunately. Glad to win a bit and not lose though of course!



This was by far the most irritating hand of the day. vs an 85 vpip whale and a reg. The river is soooooo brutal:



This was vs the same guy and was probably the sketchiest river shove i've made for maybe the whole year. River i'm trying to fold out the regs bigger pairs and get the fish to call river with worse (which given how bad he was he definitely could do). The reg tanked to 1 sec and folded

The other team i sometimes play for on a Tuesday night played one of the best teams in the league and we absolutely destroyed them 14-4, thats 2/2 big wins this week. Tonight i'm playing with my main team vs a pretty weak side so hopefully we can make it 3/3 on the week!

Finally the session i've been waiting for!



Ran really great today, on the right side of coolers, regs making bad call downs and fish having the worst hand for once.

Reg going absolutely insane:



This kinda sucked vs a fairly aggro reg:



vs a huge fish and reg. i'll actually out this reg too cus he is such a scumbag. He constantly sits out when the fish is sitting out and then immediately sits back in when they reload. His name is Olegator_tilt so if you get the chance give him a needle at the tables or report him (not that stars seem to care about any regs anymore...)



So obv everyone knows about the changes to stars, changes in rake, uk players getting raked more with less rb etc. Just to prewarn, i'm going to be looking at other sites as i feel that the end is coming for regs on stars pretty soon. Gunna keep my screen name anonymous when i do start mixing other sites, but will still post hands and results etc. Haven't decided where i'm gunna move to but it'll happen within the next month or so i reckon.

Won football 4-1 last night and the 1 goal we conceded i had a complete howler. Someone took a shot from the half way line and as i went down to collect the ball it fizzed through my legs.... so cringeworthy thinking about it so i'll move on from it now!

Don't know how long it will last before they make more changes, they are doing something bad every week so far... But atm Stars cash games seem relatively ok still compared with other sites, aside from the fact even less people will start tables now. Obviously UK players are worse off than the rest. Also the software on other sites is so tilting, there are bots etc.

At least you don't play sngs! Increasing the rake AND variance for spin n go's, which are already pretty much unbeatable, and then increasing the rake for all other sng formats so that more people will play spin n go's... pretty brutal.

Thanks for the post whelan. SnG's would definitely be the nut worst right now and you're right cash seems safe for now. I'm just really wary of more changes coming to our games and therefore decreasing edges even further.

Monthly Results

So as you know my month was really meh. Although i guess a tiny bit of good news in the graph:



Stake Breakdown:



Mixed feelings really. Played 97 hours which is HUGE for me and even more so due to moving flat. got ~33k vpps which is the highest i've had in years but of course there was no profit! The vpps gave me a decent bit of rb so fortunately some of my expenses are covered.

Really looking forward to next month and continuing to grind hard.

It's my birthday tomorrow so I'll be busy tonight and all of tomorrow afternoon/evening. May put a small grind in in the early afternoon to use that birthday run good

I don't play on Stars so I'm pretty clueless on the subject but how much did you make in rakeback for the month?

Also, do you have a graph for the year so far?

Works out to just over $2500 with a prediction of 400k vpps for the year.

I posted a year graph at the end of last month so you can go back and check given I broke even last month gl mate.

Thanks very much for the birthday wishes guys! Went for bowling and a meal with a group of mates all of yesterday which was loads of fun. Meant that more people could turn up as it was a weekend. Pretty much just chilled today and was given a lovely bit of birthday run good from stars:



Lost all my money with aces, kings and AK so don't feel like i could have done too much to prevent the losses. Just really fkn annoying to start the new month in another hole. Understandable variance as always though so just gotta plug in the hours to get out of it.

Prob won't play again later, but we'll see! gl

Drew football last night 3-3. Was such a close and competitive game. We're currently 2nd in the league and are almost certainly going to make it into the top half for the remainder of the season.

Well today was another stressful day. Was at college from 9-5 then had some dinner and played from 7pm-1am. Pretty shattered now but so pleased to not quit when at trough yet again.



The past few months has been a real test on my mental game and for once i can say with certainty that i played good ALL day today. Was so disciplined and didn't spew. There was SO much AK and KK v AA but i don't wanna bore everyone so will leave it at that!

This was a seriously sick pot vs a big whale and a reg (reg otb) Also this was a £££ table!



Will put in a decent grind tomorrow but need some time to relax before i get back on it.

Interesting hand vs very good reg. Other guy is a fish. I think i can definitely rep all boats here as i would be checking back 2p/set ott a decent amount. Spoke to this reg at length after and we concluded my play is good but he can't really fold this hand vs me. He did say he would fold vs most though:

Well today was ****ing tilting as ****. Things going great then a MONSTER whale took my life at a 400e table! Month is bad overall too



He was just shoving any 2 on most flops and somehow every time he did it vs me he had the stones. I saw him lose all his money by shoving 55 on AJ6J9 and get called by AJ etc.

the hand where you bluffed with AT, villain def can't fold Q9cc, he's at the absolute top of his range

absolute hand strength might not matter as much as blockers in that spot tho

I agree with you Fayth but sometimes even if you're top of your range, you can still make exploitable folds against some regs. There are definitely some guys who will just never ever be bluffing in this spot.

vs a passive fish who folds to 3b a ton then this is std sizing. If he was a proper fish then i'd make it at least 3x.
